Grey's Surgery

As you know, Greyson had Surgery on November 7th.  He was such a trooper.  The surgery was literally only 29 minutes long.  Dr. Porter came out and told me everything went good.  When I finally got to see him, he was awake and freaking out!  He cried for a good 45 minutes before we could give him meds.  He finally calmed down and by the end of the day, before they released him, he was toddling all over the Children's unit playing with toys and pushing his IV roller around everywhere.  The next couple days after surgery were hard, but we got through them and for the most part we are all back to normal (with the exception of sleeping through the night)  He had his check up on the 26th of November and he was all healed up.  On day 10 he did get a fever, but that seemed to be the turning point of his recovery!  We are so thankful for our little Grey Bear!

All checked in
In his gown ready for surgery
After surgery and meds, being happy
No more IV ready to break out of the Hospital

T & A

Um...Get your head out of the gutter!

So this is a LONG OVERDUE post...

As you all probably know, Greyson has been having drama, after Drama, after DRAMA with his breathing since August when he got a cold. We have been through the Asthma diagnosis, to Allergies, to Teething and colds. We have tried breathing treatments and allergy medication to try to help he sleep better at night & get his continuous congestion down. Nothing was working. We finally got a referral to an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) Dr. and took Greyson in on the 24th of Feb. The Dr. asked all sorts of questions and looked in his nose and throat and determined that Greyson's Tonsils and Adenoids were enlarged. He said that since Greyson is thriving and seems more healthly than not that we would have to wait until he is 18 months old for surgery. So, in the meantime, we are to not be around sick people because the makes it harder for him to breathe if he does get sick and wait it out for 9 months before we get him checked out again to see if he is still having a hard time breathing and get the surgery scheduled. I will keep you all updated on what is going on with him...
