Greyson's First Day of Kindergarten

This is Greyson's first day of Kindergarten 8/29/2016. He is getting so big! Where is the time going?

Sundays

This is a normal Sunday for us. Greyson is being crazy, we are starting a book, and Garett is asleep because he didn't have a nap. (This was a Sunday in August before Greyson started school 8/28/2016).

Splash Pad

The end of August, we finally made it to the splash pad for the year. The boys were super excited and we could say we crossed it off the list for 2016!

It is time to Catch up

Hello in Blog Land. I haven't blogged since August. I say it is time for an update, right? Well, most of my new photos are now on my computer because I had to move them over from my phone, but the ones I have on my phone will have to do for now until I can get home and update from my computer with all the pictures.

But first, how about a family update?

Garett - He is growing like a weed. He wants to go to school so bad like his big brothers, but we keep telling him he will go next year. He can sing his ABC song and lots of other songs. He loves watching Zootopia and doing anything his brothers do. He loves playing outside and with Legos, even though he isn't supposed to. He loves his big boy bed, and is my most unpicky eater. He is in size 7 shoes, size 4 diapers and size 3T clothes.

Greyson - Loves Kindergarten and his teachers and friends. Kinda got off to a rough start, but had really adjusted and is learning a lot. He reads a lot of words already and loves to read with us at night and pick out the words he knows. He loves to play outside except for when a dog or cat is around. He is my best sleeper and will usually fall asleep really fast and sleep in the next day. He is in 5T and size Small Boy's clothes and size 10 shoes. He still has to wear a pull up at night, but is waking up more nights dry then wet nowadays, so it is getting better. He is my kid that knows what is wants, likes and isn't afraid to let you know his opinion. He also is very sensitive when he is doing something wrong and being disciplined. He doesn't like it when people are mad at him.

Gavin - He is doing so good a Dual Immersion Spanish and is really taking off with it. He struggles with Math, but once he gets a chance to do some homework he knows what he is doing and gets better at it. He loves reading his Chapter books and will sit down with Greyson and Garett and read to them. He loves to play outside and with Legos. He still wakes up super early in the morning, but that is just Gavin. He is in Medium Boy's clothes and size 12 shoes. He is really my get along by himself, entertain himself, play by himself boy. He will play with his brothers, but doesn't have to.

Mike - Mike left for training in Texas last week, so we are on day 10 without him. It has been crazy, lots of ups and downs, lots of firsts, and chaos, but we are getting through it, one day at a time. He has tests everyday he has to take and it has been going good, they haven't sent him home yet. He has a big text next week that he is really studying for and it is a big one, so pray for him to pass it so he can continue. We haven't come this far for him to be send home 2 weeks in!

Me - Still working, hoping Mike's first paycheck in November can help pay down some debts and I can quit my job the end of the year. Our babysitter graduates from school the end of December and wants to start looking for a job, so I will need to get something figured out. All my Christmas Shopping for the boys is mainly done and wrapped. I just have Mike, family and stocking stuffers left to get. Other than that, we are just plugging along.

So, that is a little update on us! I will post some specific things with pictures next :)

Dressed Up Boys

My boys always look so nice when they are dressed up. They always want me to take a picture of them looking so nice too! This was a couple weekends ago before a family baptism.

DIY Splash Pad

A couple weekends ago, during Mike's drill weekend, the boys and I decided that we wanted to run through the sprinklers. It was a hot day and we didn't really want to go anywhere, and since we now have a backyard, that needs watered, we can just run through the sprinklers in the backyard. The boys had so much fun! And it was a dream come true for me.

Allergies

My poor Greyson has bad allergies. We think we have it all under control, then the red, puffy, swollen eyes come back.

Family Update

I feel like I haven't done one of these in FOREVER! So how bout it?

Garett - Refuses to sleep at night, and finally falls asleep with us in the room (we have to stay until he falls asleep) at 10pm, then about 1am comes down to our room EVERYNIGHT to sleep with us. Other than that, he is an eating, talking, playing, big boy crazy kid. He talks like crazy (it's hard to believe that this time last year we were worried about his talking). He is in 24 Month and 2T clothes, size 7 shoes, size 4 diapers and still growing. I think he is 28 lbs. He likes to eat Lunchables, Go-Gurts, Cereal, French Toast Sticks, Chicken Nuggets, and Mac N Cheese. He loves to play outside. He was the big bully in Nursery, but we have moved him up to the older class and he has been doing better.

Greyson - So excited to start Kindergarten in August. I am worried about his writing, but I will print up some worksheets for him to do this summer, and hopefully he will be good. I think his acid reflux is back, but hasn't been too bad so far. He still only eats Cheetos and Cereal for the most part but will eat other things on occasion and surprise us. He is in 5T shirts, 4T pants, and size 9-10 shoes. We are still working on getting him night time potty trained, but that hasn't been going so good. Thank goodness for pull ups. He loves to play outside, but only if his brothers are out there with him. I think he is 37 lbs last time we weighed him. He goes to Primary and loves his class.

Gavin - Is ready to be done with 1st Grade (only 1/2 day left) and go to 2nd Grade Dual Immersion in August. He is reading chapter books and is doing so good at it. He is in size 7/8 shirts and 5T pants, and size 12 shoes. He loves to read, listen to his iPod Shuffle, and watch TV and Movies. He likes to play with Legos too. He is my big pretender, and will create signs for different stores that he works at like the Library, Home Depot, and Harmons. He was 46 lbs last time we weighed him I believe. He is my early riser, up at 6am most mornings. We are trying to come up with a reading plan for him this summer to motivate him to continue reading. We will see how that goes. He of course loves Primary and being one of the big kids in Sharing time. That will change next year.

Mike - Still waiting for either someone to pull out of Training so he can take their spot, or October 13th to get here for his Air Force Training. He started a new job in February at Precision Automotive in Orem, so His work, My work, and Gavin's school are literally miles away from each other. He is a co Primary teacher with me at we Teach Sunbeams. He isn't a big fan, but does it with me. Still drilling monthly, just waiting for training. Right now his big project is the backyard. We are doing a patio and sod in the next couple of weeks, so hopefully that turns out and works out ok. It will be a better selling point for our house next year, though.

Me - Still working at Provo Canyon School. I will work here until the day that we move up to Layton area probably. Sunbeam teacher and I love it! Working out everyday ish and I am almost done with my 8th week and have lost 11 lbs. It is going pretty good. I am on my 3rd week of T25 Beta, and have started Shakeology the beginning May, so I think that has helped me a lot. My big project is helping the backyard and hoping we don't spend a lot of money doing it. Then I will start to get each room inside ready to sell next year.

That is an update about us.

First Day/Last Day

Greyson First day of Preschool/Last day of Preschool 2015-2016

Messy Room

My kids have so many toys, it is crazy. I try all the time to get rid of some, but they won't let me! At least they play with them and have a fun time.

Preschool Graduation

On Tuesday, May 17th, Greyson graduated from Preschool! WOOT! He is so super excited to go to Kindergarten. And don't worry, I have already got him registered (this week) #slacker!

It was a really great Program and he had a lot of fun. I am so proud of him and all he has done and learned this year.

On Thursday, Greyson had his last Preschool Field Trip. We went to Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove. It was a fun, big park and Greyson had a fun time. We had lunch then went grocery shopping and had a fun time just Greyson and Mom.

Since Thursday was officially the last day of Preschool, we had to take a picture of him with his Last day of Preschool Sign. He is so excited to go to Kindergarten!

Greyson's Birthday Party

On Saturday, April 30th, we went to Provo Beach (Again) for Greyson's birthday party because that is where he wanted to go. Grandma Mary and Uncle Jason came with us and we had a fun time bowling, laser tagging, Arcade game playing, eating yummy food, and playing in the playground. That is the day that my phone decided that it didn't want to work anymore :( so I didn't get a lot of pictures, because my phone wouldn't take them.

Cold Stone Field Trip

On Greyson's Birthday, we went to Cold Stone for his April Preschool Field Trip. That is were I broke my phone, so I didn't get a lot of pictures, but it was a fun time. Of course.

Greyson's Birthday

I am finally blogging about Greyson's Birthday. His 5th birthday was the 28th of April. We woke up that day to balloons in his room, he ate breakfast and then he opened his presents. He got 2 Lego sets and a scooter. After that, we headed to his Preschool Cold Stone Field Trip. While at the Cold Stone, I dropped my phone and cracked the screen through the protector to the actual iPhone screen. It was working fine though, so we went to Lunch with Mike and Gavin (picked them up from Work and School) at Subway. After Lunch at Subway, we headed to Walmart to pick up his Darth Vader Star Wars cake and some stuff to make breadsticks for dinner. I made Little Ceaser breadsticks for dinner and we ate cake and had a great day together celebrating Greyson! The breadsticks turned out so good to that we make them all the time now. They are super yummy and easy to make.

Easter 2016

Yesterday was Easter. We did Umbrellas this year instead of Easter Baskets, because the boys have been asking for umbrellas for years. We gave them a Lego set, movie, new Church Suit, Swim Suit, Sunglasses, and candy.

We went to Church and after Church, we dyed Easter Eggs and put together Lego Sets while watching our new movies.

We ate a smoked Ham for dinner and after dinner had an Easter Egg Hunt for the boys. Mary (Mike's mom) came over and gave the boys bubbles, and they had a fun time with those. My Brother Jason also came over for dinner.

It was a fun Easter and it is always a good reason to remember that Jesus was Resurrected and Lives today, and we will too!

Ridleys March Field Trip

This month's field trip with Greyson's Preschool was a trip to the Eagle Mountain Grocery Store, Ridleys. It was super fun. They took us around the Produce section and gave the kids Orange Slices. Then over to the Starbucks and they got Hot Chocolate. Then to the Deli and they gave the kids Turkey sliced meat. Then to the bakery and showed them how to make a rose from frosting. Then to the Meat Department and they gave the kids String Cheese. They then took the kids back to the back room and showed them a truck dropping off a load and the fridge where the milk goes and the freezer with the ice cream. We then went to the Ace Hardware and they showed them how they mix the paint in the shaker machine and gave the kids paint sample colors. Then to the Pharmacy, Post Office area, and Customer Service area. After that they went to the cashiers and then upstairs to eat Cookies and Popsicles. When they came back down they gave them a balloon and end field trip. It was pretty cool is see the other side of the grocery store, instead of just going there and shopping.
