This is a normal Sunday for us. Greyson is being crazy, we are starting a book, and Garett is asleep because he didn't have a nap. (This was a Sunday in August before Greyson started school 8/28/2016).

24th of July

Alright, alright, alright! It is time to start blogging again! I have wondering if I should give up blogging and stick to Facebook and Instagram to share all our stories and pictures, but I just keep coming back to I can print my blog out and share it with the boys (Even though I haven't even finished my last year blog book and printed it yet, and it is almost already time for this years blog book to be printed!) I am running behind. So, lets get started where we left off with the 24th of July!!!

The Fourth of July this year we went up to my Mother-In-Law's house and helped her clean stuff out because she just moved, so there wasn't anything big that happened that day.

The 24th of July we spent the day together after one of our long time friend and neighbor Sister Scott passed away! We still miss her so much!

We shot off fireworks, which Greyson still hates and Gavin still loves.  The jury is still out on Garett.  Here is Greyson enjoying the fireworks while being funny in the house.

A couple weeks ago, I was in the computer room doing homeworking and making dinner, while Gavin and Greyson were playing.  I went into the living room to see what they were doing and happily Greyson told him that he was coloring!  This is what he did!

Black sharpie marker all over our new (to us) chair!  Luckily Mike came home from work and got it all out and it still looks semi new!  Don't ever leave your kids alone with markers!

Funny Gavin

A couple weeks ago Gavin didn't have a nap at the babysitters house, so we went to Costco after work.  On our way home after Costco and dinner, this is how I found Gavin.  He was tired.  He loves looking at this picture of himself sleeping funny!

Gavin Funnies

Gavin is funny. On Friday I asked him to do something to help me and he told me "I'm busy."

Yesterday morning I was still at home waiting for Greyson to wake up so I could take them to the sitters then go to work. Gavin said to me "Mom, look at me! What are you doing today?" I said "Going to work, what are you doing today?" He said "Going to Leann's (sitter)" So I asked him "Is there anything else you are doing today?" He said "No" and I said "Are you going to preschool?" He said "Oh yeah, I will go to preschool too today!" He is funny!

On Sunday he learned about Jonah and the Whale in Sunbeams. He brought home a picture that you can move Jonah into and out of the whales mouth. He told me today "This is Jonah. He was stuck in a boat then he swam out of the boats mouth." Holy hilarity!

Man that kid is funny! And Greyson too, if you ask him what is wrong with his brother he will tell you every time "He's pissed!" Funny kids!

When little guys get stuck

Here is Greyson, getting stuck inbetween the bed and wall and the TV and TV/Movie stand.  I don't know how or why he gets himself into these situations, but it always ends up with me running to get the camera to document it and him crying because I'm not helping him.

 

Just to remember

My little Gav Monkey and Grey Grey are so cute!  Here are some things I want to remember!

We call Greyson - Grey Grey, Baby Grey Grey, Grey, Bear

Gavin knows his dad works on Cars and asks him all the time if he can go to work with him to work on cars.  He thinks I work on Pictures...I have no idea where he got that idea from, but he asks me when I get home from work if I went to work to work on pictures, or if he is up when I leave for work he asks if he can come with me to work on pictures.

These boys love to play with my new iPhone.  They love to take pictures of themselves and each other and of all of us :)

Gavin's favorite letter is G - He looks for them everywhere we go.  He will even tell you when he sees a lowercase g.  So cute.

My little Grey Grey has been a trooper this last weekend and has been the only that hasn't gotten sick.  Mike, Gavin and I have all had the 24 hour stomach flu going around.  Gotta keep him healthy before the surgery (see post below)

Greyson knows a lot of words, but is seems most of them are action words, or food.  I am trying to teach him body parts or colors, or letters and numbers but nope, he won't have anything to do with it right now :)

Baby Powder Drama

A couple weeks ago Mike left out the Baby Powder after using on Greyson and also, Forgot to close the lid. So, it lead to this:

Funny Greyson

I have a funny Greyson story:

Last week as I was being set apart for my new calling (Mia Maid Advisor) (when you get a blessing or are being set apart for a calling in our church they place their hands on your head) Greyson crawled over to me and climbed up me trying to get me to pick him up.  I picked him up while Bro. Becar was still giving me a blessing and Greyson decided he want to be in on that action as well and kept smacking me on the forehead!  I thought I was pretty hilar but didn't think anything else about it.

Last night my mom and dad were in town and I asked my dad to give me a blessing.  Again in the middle of it Greyson decided it wanted to be part of it so he climbed up and smacked me on the forehead again!  At least he is paying attention so somethings!

Annnnndddd...Some more GAVIN talk!

Here are a couple things I keep forgetting to mention about when Gavin talks:

Mike and I used to spell Walk because if we said it Gavin would freak out and we would have to go for one.  Well one day a couple months ago, he caught on.  He now spells Walk...He says "Go for a W-LK."  Sometimes he says it with the A but most the time he is so excited and in a hurry he will forget it.  He says it a lot too when we are on the walk.

He always tells Mike & I to "rewax." (Relax)

Besides calling me Little One, he also will call me "Lisha" and "Sweetheart."  It is pretty funny.

Whenever someone makes him mad or does something he doesn't like he responds with "Daddy scared it."

He started telling me, "Mom, I have a bloody nose."  No idea where he got that one from.

At the zoo yesterday he said "Mom, the Elephants are Dinosaurs."

I am sure there will be PLENTY more "When Gavin Talks" to come!

Cont...When Gavin Speaks

Here is some more funny Gavin Talk.

Mike's nickname for me is Little One, so now when Gavin wants to ask me something he says Little One, then asked me the question.  Silly kid.

On Saturday before our nightly family walk, Gavin walked up to me and put his hand on my boob and said "Mom, you okay, did you hurt your boob?"  Mike and I were like WHAT?  It was funny.

When he goes to bed at night he asks me "Mom gonna dance, dance to music?" (I workout in the living room and do Zumba or Just Dance.)  What a funny kid!

He had to get a picture with the Chick-Fil-A Cow!

When Gavin Speaks...

It is pretty funny.  Here are some funny things Gavin says or has said:

LET. ME. GO. (He says this the most coming out of Walmart)
Ock it off (knock it off)
Stupid Dog

His favorite song is "Rumour Has It" by Adele.  He knows when it comes on the radio and will sing with it...Rumour has it.

A couple weeks ago Gavin was asking where his Seahorse was and Mike said to him: "I am going to put the Seahorse up your butt so you will know where it always is."  To which Gavin responded: "No Daddy, that hurt my butt!"

At Church Gavin asked Mike: "Daddy, will you open my eyes?"  Mike said: "I can't open them because they are already open."  Silly kid

He now calls himself Gavin instead of Gamin.

He is always quite the talker.  If you give him your ear for 1/2 a second he will not stop talking.  He is a chatter box!

Funny Gav

We tend to get a lot of kids meals every Saturday night. With all the running around, it is just easier. In October Burger King had this nice little "Gary" headband. Gavin loved it! He wore it everywhere. Cute kid!

More Crazy Gavin

I woke up at 4am this morning to feed Greyson. I went out to the couch because that is where I usually feed him. Guess who had wandered his way out there & was sleeping on the couch? I guess Gavin was sick of sleeping in his bed and wanted a change of comfort? Silly boy. I had Mike take Greyson & put Gavin back to bed! What a silly kid!

More Funny Gavin

We have this Magnetic Alphabet Learning Tool on our Fridge that we got for Gavin for Christmas. Gavin loves it & plays with it everyday. He is learning so much from it too. He says the letters and the sounds they make when he plays the letters. Super cute. Well today, he rearranged the letters on the side of the fridge. Funny kid!
