24th of July

The boys are always so excited for July because we can do fireworks on the 4th for Independence Day and the 24th for Pioneer Day. The 24th was a Sunday this year, so we went to Church, hung out, had a BBQ with a yummy dessert, and lit off some fun fireworks.

4th of July, 2016

We had a fun 4th of July weekend. I went to work early on Friday and left a noon and got all our shopping done.

On Saturday, Mike woke up with Strep, so while the boys and I headed to the Movie Theater to see Finding Dory, Mike went to the instacare to get meds. After the movie, we went to lunch with Mike's mom and then did some shopping at the closing Sports Authority store.  We cleaned out the boys' room and got rid of some toys.

On Sunday, we went to Church and then relaxed at home in our back yard with a fire and s'more cones. They were yummy.

On Monday, we went swimming at Camp Williams, shopping for flip flops for the boys and then did fireworks and early to bed!  Gavin and Greyson loved swimming, but Garett didn't really care for it. It was a fun weekend, one that we will remember!

24th of July

This year for the 24th of July we had a fun firework show with just the 4 of us. Gavin did sparklers & LOVED them & we shot off some legal fireworks. It was about a 10 minute show for us & we loved it. Gavin had a great time & Greyson I am sure enjoyed his first fireworks.

4th of July

Our 4th of July was low key this year. We just spent the day today as family...celebrating Gavin's first 4th & America's 233rd birthday! We bought Gavin a cute onesie from Old Navy for him to be festive & set out to start our day about noon after Mike woke up from his "night" sleep. Friday the 3rd was his last Grave yard shift at Home Depot. So we had a lot to celebrate. We spent the day checking out the new Smith's Market Place in Lehi, getting some Home repair stuff from Home Depot & driving around town listening to Music & enjoying conversation with each other. After we got home, we fixed our Garbage Disposal & watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua. About 8pm we started doing some Fireworks for Gavin to enjoy then Got him ready for bed. About 9pm we started our BBQ & ate a really yummy dindin of BBQ hamburgers, chili cheese Fries & soda. We finished off our busy day with Fireworks. It was a great day & I am so glad I got to spend it with Mike & Gavin. Even though we had a great day together, we were most excited to hit the sack that night. Enjoy our festive pictures.

4th of July Activities!

I had so much fun this 4th of July...I didn't think it would be possible hanging out with my in laws without my husband (Mike had to work), But we had a lot of fun.

We started the day out at 10am in Orem getting Subway Sandwiches they started up Provo Canyon to Sundance. We all goined at Sundance & drove up the Alpine & started our hike there up to Stewart Falls. It is a 1&1/2 mile hike each way. It was hard at times but once we got there it was BEAUTIFUL! Here are some pix.

We are almost there

So BEAUTIFUL

This is my Niece Alisha walking through the water to get to my Mother-in-law & I sitting on a bench!

After the falls, we hiked back down to Sundance & ate Lunch (hence the Subway Sandwiches) then drove back to up Alpine up to the Alpine Loop...It was also BEAUTIFUL up there...Here are more pix.

After that Chuck (my Brother-in-law) found out that he had a crack in a hose or something like that with his car (I am TOTALLY not a car person) So Mary (Mother-in-law) & I decided we would follow him to South Jordan (where they live) to make sure they got there okay. They had a Concert (Miley Cyrus) to get to! About half way there, they called & said they would make it okay, so we turned around & headed back up the canyon to get my car.

I got home about 7:30pm, took a shower (because we were DIRTY from the hike) & relaxed until Mike got home. When Mike got home we did some fireworks & then I ended up going to bed, because it had been a long, exhausting day for me.

Thanks to Mary, Chuck, Lori, Alisha, Shantel, Austin & Ricky Martin & family for making this 4th of July a great day for me & for all of us. I love you!
