DIY Splash Pad

It was the Middle of August and still hot outside, before school started, and the boys wanted to go outside to play. Mike went out with him and somehow the water got turned on and next thing you know, all 3 of the boys are soaked and having the best time ever. Who needs to get ready for the splash pad with swimsuits on and drive 10 minutes to get there when you can DIY it at home!

Water

Back in September, Eagle Mountain warned residents that there was a "Break In" in one of the city's water towers and wanted to run tests on the water before residents were okay to use it.  That meant that we had to go about 24 hours with water we had on hand, not using the tap water for cooking, cleaning and bathing/showering.  It was really fun, NOT.  But we made it through because we had decided we needed to start our food and water storage, so we had enough to make it the 24 hours.  The next day, we even went and stocked back up on more water just in case.  We are all set now.

Outside Water Fun

A couple weeks ago when it was starting to get SO HOT, we decided to break out the new water toy we got for a great deal.  The boys (Mike included) had the best time ever!  Gavin and Greyson were SOAKED by the end of it!  They can't wait to break it out again!

Sprinkler Fun

Last Week Mike and Gavin went for a walk down the street, when they came back I heard the water turn on outside, then Mike came in and told me I had to go outside and see what Gavin was doing. I went outside and he was kind of running through the sprinklers. So I watched him a couple times skim by the sprinkler & decided to go back in the house. Mike came back in a couple minutes later to grab the camera & said I had to come outside now to see Gavin. He was "Watering the lawn" soaking wet, and having the time of his life. Maybe this boy is starting to outgrow his Water fear! Cute boy!
