It was quite the adventurous 2015! Here's to less sickness and more fun and family in 2016!

After Christmas

On Christmas, we opened presents and ate Crepes for Breakfast. We relaxed and played with our new toys, watched our new movies and had a nice relaxing day. On the way down to New Mexico, I had a cold, so we were hoping the boys wouldn't get anything. On Christmas night, before the sun went down and it got too cold, we took the boys to the park. On the way home from the park, Greyson started coughing and we knew that he was getting sick. That night, he woke up wheezing and croupy cough. It was not awesome. After a 30 minute drive to the ER, and an hour wait later, we decided to leave because it was too busy at the ER. Cathy has a friend who has a nebulizer and let us borrow it. We got him a blessing and treatment and made it through the night.

On Saturday, we called our Dr. and he called in a medicine for Greyson to NM. We made it home, but we still gave Greyson treatments for a week after to get him through it.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve this year we were in New Mexico. We left Tuesday night in the middle of the Eagle Mountain Blizzard and drove down to Moab to spend the night. The canyon was crappy, but we made it safely. On Wednesday, we got up and started the rest of the journey to New Mexico. It was crappy roads to Monticello, but other than that we made it to my parents at 3:30 on Wednesday. On Christmas Eve we took the train (like Trax in Utah) with the kids and they all loved it.  We had the traditional open faced sandwiches and Frappe and read the Nativity story. After that we drove around to look at Luminaries. After we got back to my parents, we put the boys to bed and played Santa to get ready for Christmas.

Christmas Part One

So we did Christmas a little bit differently this year. My side of the family made the plan months ago to all go to my Parents house in New Mexico for Christmas this year since it has been 5 years since we have all been together. So, part one of our Christmas was on the Sunday before Christmas, we decided to give the boys their Christmas gifts from us and the big stuff from my Parents. We got them a Kitchen from my parents with dishes and food and they loved it.  We also had George the elf give the boys their Christmas suits for them to wear to Church that day.  The boys got a Kitchen set with all the pots, pans, dishes and food. They got a tool bench, Car track, Games, and lots of little Animal play figurines.

We had our Christmas celebration with Mike's mom on the Saturday before Christmas too so that we could get all of our stuff done before before we left for New Mexico on Tuesday night. They got Legos from Mike's mom that they are totally into right now, and cars for Garett.

Gingerbread House

We bought a Gingerbread House kit from Costco this year and the boys were so excited to decorate it. Garett was just excited to eat the candy from it.

Greyson's December Field Trip

On December 17th, Greyson had his December Field Trip to see Santa at South Towne Mall. It was a lot of fun and Greyson had a fun time. He froze when it was time to talk to Santa, but mustered up enough to say he wanted a Helicopter.  We ate lunch at the Mall then rushed down to Gavin's school for his December Christmas Sing in. It was a fun day with my boys!

Snow

Needless to say, the boys have been so excited about the amount of snow we have seen this winter season. They got out to play any chance they get.

Office Christmas

My boss usually goes all out for Christmas, but this year, it is on. So I went all out decorating my office (with stuff we have a home, but didn't use). I decorated my front and back windows and made these cute little Christmas Trees with the boys, that won the Christmas Office Decorating Contest! Woot!

Christmas (So Far)

Thanksgiving was uneventful this year (Thank goodness!) and we had fun at Aunt Bonnie's with family and cousins being Thankful for all that we have. We sure did miss Uncle Ron this year, it just wasn't the same without him.

So, let's move right into the Christmas season, shall we?  The day after Thanksgiving we set up the Christmas Tree, and Saturday after Thanksgiving, our Elf on the Shelf George came out of hiding. And we decorated the tree on Saturday.

On Sunday, George our elf brought Christmas Jammies for the boys to enjoy this entire Christmas Season.

And last Saturday, Eagle Mountain had their annual Santa on the Firetruck ride through Eagle Mountain that is always a favorite at our House, and when we went to Walmart to do our grocery Shopping, Santa was there also, so the boys had to stop by and say hi.

Last Night George left a new Christmas Book for the boys (I didn't get a picture yet), and I know that he has a lot more in store before he leaves us for the North Pole when we leave for New Mexico. Stay tuned for more Christmas Fun from the Wallenbergs.

The Other Night

On Wednesday, the 4th, we had an action packed night.  It all started when I went downstairs after my shower to get changed and I smelled gas. So after we talked to a neighborhood friend about it, he said to call the Fire Department. We bathed and got the boys ready for bed and call the Fire Department to make sure everything was okay.  Lights blazing later (so embarrassing!) the Fire Department found that our pilot light was turned off on our water heater and there was gas in the basement escaping.  So they called Questar to come to our house to light the pilot light before we could get back into the house.  So an hour and half after we first called and left the house, we were finally able to get back into the house and get the boys to bed (after bedtime). Oh what fun we have with boys!

Halloween

This year for Halloween, Gavin was Lightning McQueen, Greyson was a Dragon/Dinosaur and Garett was a Monkey.

On Thursday the 29th, Greyson wore his costume to preschool.

On Friday the 30th, Gavin had his Halloween Parade, and then that night our ward had a Trunk-Or-Treat that the boys got to dress up for.

And on Saturday, of course it was Halloween. We had Mike's mom down for dinner and after dinner I sent the boys out with dad and grandma to go Trick-or-Treating. They had so much fun and stayed out until 9! (Garett came home at 7:45, he was tired)

Halloween 2015 was a success!

2015 Family Pictures

In August we got family pictures done at a Studio in Saratoga Springs. We weren't very impressed, so it will probably be the first and the last time we go there, but at least we got some family pictures done.

Carving Pumpkins

This year, since the pumpkins didn't last from the pumpkin patch, we went to Smiths and got some huge pumpkins and carved them on Sunday. The boys had so much fun picking their pumpkins, and helping gut them out, picking out their jack-o-lantern design and playing with the lights that go in the pumpkins.

And I am most excited about the pumpkin seeds!

Crazy Hair Day

Last week at Gavin's school, it was Red Ribbon Week, and on Wednesday, they did Crazy Hair Day. So naturally he had to have Mike color his hair to honor the day!

Pumpkin Patch Preschool Field Trip

This month's Preschool Field Trip for Greyson was to the Pumpkin Patch. I took Garett this year, and they loved it. They climbed up haystacks, went through corn mazes, looked at farm animals and got to pick pumpkins.
