Gavin 6 Month Photo Shoot Part 1

We had a Photo Shoot done with Gavin for his 6 months of life. We did it on the 12th by an AMAZING photographer in our ward Ashley. We got the proofs from her yesterday & she has posted some pictures on her Photography blog. They are AMAZING & I can't wait to get the CD & dig into all the great photos she took. Check them out on her blog. Click on her name or the link below! Thanks so much Ashley, can't wait to do Family pictures with you in November. Also, while you are on her blog, if you are looking for a great deal on individual photos, family photos, or really anything, check out her info & get into contact with her!

Gavin's Room Update...Last One!

This will be the last Gavin room update, because it is FINISHED! Finally! & it has been done for about a month now, but you do what you can. We got a new crib since the last time we posted about his room. It is a 4 in 1 bed that he will be able to use forever if he wants to & converts to a full size bed. It also has a changing table attached & underneath the changing table is a laundry basket. Also underneath the crib is a trundle drawer for more storage! We got it for a GREAT deal & couldn't pass it up! We have also finished putting up the letters for Gavin's name & the Cars stickers. I love his room & it is a true boys room! I am glad it is done! Enjoy the pictures!

Roommate Reunion

On the 15th of August, one of my Roommates from Southern Utah University came into town from Texas with her hubby & baby & we all got together to catch up. They came out here & we ate some dinner & played some MarioKart on the Wii. We also got to spend some time with Mariann, her sweet baby girl, born just 1 month after Gavin. We hope to do it again Lexi! It was great to get together with you & catch up!

Preslie's 1st Birthday Party

Our Sweet Niece, Preslie, had her first Birthday Party on the 12th of Sept. It was such a beautiful day in the Mountains of Heber. They had a Party at a huge house up there with tons of roaming space for the kids. It has been quite a year full of hope for this baby girl & her family. Here are some pictures of the day (pictures courtesy of Michelle's blog)

6 Months!

Our baby is already 6 months old! It is all down hill from here, he will just keep getting older & older. He is half way to 1! Here are his stats at his 6 month appointment on Thursday:

Weight: 15 lbs 11 & 1/2 oz - 19th%tile
Lenght: 26 inches - 35th%tile
Head: 17 inches - 34th%tile

The Doctor says he is growing nicely & right on schedule. And as you know, we have already started him on solids, so he is just growing right up. He got 4 shots this month, his regular vaccines & the 1st of his Flu shots. We have to go back in a month to get his next Flu shot & we are debating about getting him an H1N1 Flu shot this year. I would like to know whether or not you are going to get an H1N1 shot this year & why? Leave a comment!

Here are somethings Gavin is doing this month. He makes kissing noises, he hasn't so much lately, but has been making them before. He is a really good sleeper. He has been up at 3 the last two nights because of the shots, but he normally sleeps until 5:30 or later. He still loves his Jumperoo. He loves, loves, loves his baths, especially when daddy gives them to him. He will play & play & never wants to get out. He has thrown a fit two nights now when Mike has gotten him out of the bath. We feed him Applesauce last night for the first time & he seemed to like that. He now knows how to take a blanket off his head when you play peek-a-boo with him! He is becoming a better sitter & is rolling now both ways.

We are having such a fun time with Gavin discovering new things with him. Can't wait to see what next month brings for him & what he is doing then!

Gavin & I were playing with his toys, I went into the bedroom really quick to get some chapstick & came back out to Gavin having fell asleep! I was gone for 1 minute...I must have worn him out!

Food

I have been really nervous to feed Gavin solids. I think that I just didn't want him "dependant" on anything but me. But alas, the day has come. On Thursday, Mike & I wanted some shakes from Artic Circle, so we took a drive to Saratoga Springs. On our way home, I was sitting in the back seat with Gavin, I really don't remember why, but I was & he was just so interested at the spoon going to my mouth. I didn't think he was ready for "spoon fed" food, so just to check out my theory, I put the spoon in his mouth & he knew exactly what to do with it! So yesterday I decided to buy some Rice Cereal & this morning I mixed up some BM & Rice Cereal & feed it to him. He LOVED it! He did a couple tongue thrusts at the beginning but then got the hang of it & ate it right up!
