Tumbleweeds Anyone?

On Monday, I came home from work and as I was pulling up to the house, I couldn't see the backyard from the side of my house, because tumbleweeds had taken over. They were piled up so high that when I went into the bathroom, it was orange inside the bathroom because no light was getting in from the light, it was coming in through the tumbleweeds.

We went out to go clean them up and then Greyson got stung by a bee from a nest that had gotten caught up in the tumbleweeds, and Gavin got stuck in the leg by a tumbleweed. So far, it isn't turning out very good. But a lot of neighbors came over and helped get them back into the field behind our house and now we don't need to worry about the tumbleweeds catching on fire and burning our house.

The Zoo 2015

We took our yearly Zoo trip last Saturday and they have this Dinosaur Exhibit going on right now that Greyson loved. We had a fun time looking at all the animals, finding the Dinosaurs and hanging out as a family in the hot heat!

After the zoo, we went to lunch at Red Robin and Garett couldn't be bothered. He was so tired from the zoo that he slept right through lunch.

TMNT

We have been going through a bunch of crap around our house lately to get rid of stuff and to get ready for our yard sale. We have found some fun things.

We found these TMNT Masks
And this Roots Beret from the 2002 Olympics
And all our board games that we sat down and played!
It has been fun going through all our stuff and finding all these things we have just hiding out. We have a lot of crap to get rid of too!

Helmets and Safety

On the 16th of July, I came home early from work because I had a really bad asthma attack and needed to rest after I got it all under control. To get the boys out of the house so I could rest, I sent them outside to ride bikes and play. A couple minutes later, you can hear Greyson screaming bloody murder and his bike is tipped over. I ran out to get him and he had fallen off his bike onto his head and scraped it up. So we decided it was time to get helmets. We went to Walmart and let the boys pick out their own helmets and now they know that they have to wear them when they are out riding. Yay for being safe!

Food Storage

We have so much food storage and it was all just sitting on the floor in our basement. Well you all know that we have been cleaning up and rearranging stuff and fun things like that, that we needed to do something about our food storage to get it off the floor and all in the same place. Mike decided to build food storage shelves and we finally got them put together and got all the stuff put on it. It looks so much better in our basement and we have a place for food storage now!

18 Months

Well, we made it to 18 months! I can't believe it has been a year and a half since this cute boy made his grand entrance into our world! He is cruising all over the place and throws tantrums like he is 3! He is a big eater and loves milk. We are still working on his talking, but he knows lots of signs, so we are communicating as well as we can. When you ask him a question, all he says is, ah ahah ah and points his finger. He will talk, one day!

Sleepy

Have I told you how cute this boy is? He worked out with me during my workout after work then snuggled up on my and fell asleep after we were done. He must have been tired, or I was that comfy!

4th of July 2015

For the 4th of July this year, we went up to Mike's mom house and helped her go through more boxes to get ready for a yard sale we will be having sometime. The boys were so excited to wear red, white, and blue and to hang out at Grandma's house. After we left, we got icecream at Cold Stone and went home, bathed boys, and watched fireworks. All 3 boys loved fireworks this year which was awesome. Happy 4th of July!

Aunt Cathy

My sister, Cathy, was here for a couple days after Jackson Hole and she drove with us to Montana. She is our favorite for sure! We miss her and the boys still talk about her all the time!

Hair Cuts

The hot Saturday middle of the day Soccer games were starting to become too much, so we decided that we needed to get the boys haircuts, so try to keep the hot to a minimum while we were out in the sun. Mike cut their hair into mohawks and showed them with a mirror to see if it was something they wanted to keep. Neither boy liked it, so we buzzed it all off! As soon as we buzzed Garett's head, all you could see was big brown eyes and big chunky cheeks! Cute boys!

Splash Pad

A couple weeks ago, it was a super hot day and Mike was home early from work, so we took the boys to the splash pad. They had so much fun, well, Gavin and Garett did. They constantly ask if we can go back! Mike had fun too.
