Associate of the Month

Today Mike went to work & found out that he received the Store Associate of the Month for March 2008! What a great accomplishment...he has only been there for 3 months & 2 days. Great job Mikey baby...I am so very proud of you & love you!

Weekend Recap

This weekend got off to a rocky start. I stayed later at work to get some extra things done before the weekend & the much dreaded Month end, so traffic was HORRIBLE. On Friday, at work, my boss told us that we have a change in our dress code. We were Business Casual which was nice, we didn't have to get to dressy, but still looked nice. Now that we have moved & have HR with us, we have to dress Business Professional. So I decided I had better so shopping. Mike got off work at 7pm & we ordered Chilis for dindin. It was a casual, quiet, & nice Friday spent home.

SaturdayMike had to work at 11:30 am, so we got up early & went grocery shopping for our weekly groceries. By this time I had realized that I left my purse at work. I was so crazy busy all day Friday that it totally slipped my mind & I forgot to grab it before I left work. So Mike & I went shopping for groceries & then Mike went off to work, I had to borrow his debit card. My good friend Jessi came over to see my house...I know we have lived there for 2 years today(Congrats to us) & she has never seen it. After she saw the messy house, we went to lunch at Chadders (a burger place in American Fork) We then went Shopping at Target. I saw an amazing Purse & Shoes. Love them, but I didn't get them because I wanted Mike to see them before I bought them (I know I am crazy, I just like his oppinion) After Target, we went home & Jessi left to go home. Thanks for hanging out with me Jessi & I look forward to next month! You are awesome! Mike got off work at 5pm so when he got home, we headed right back out to so shopping for my new clothes. I got some really good stuff at Kohl's & we went to Target & got that purse & shoes. I love him so much, he does so much for me. Thanks Mike! I love you!

On Sunday it was just a nice Church day. Ben came over for dinner so we got to catch up with him. We haven't seen him in about 3 weeks, so that was nice. It was just a good weekend!

A Little Re-Cap

Here's a little re-cap of my life.

20 years ago... I was 5. I remember my little sister Cathy being born, I had a new best friend Kammi, who I am still really great friends with today. Ben (my brother) & I probably fought a lot! We probably watched a lot of TV. I remember Care Bears & Smurfs. Funny! We also just moved to West Valley, where I would spent the next 12 or so years of my life.

10 years ago...I was attending Hunter Junior High in great West Valley City. I was in 9th grade, so getting ready to date & go to High School. Probably a big 15 year old brat to my Parents & siblings. Getting ready to Drive. Wow...I don't really remember much. I remember gym class, I loved it because I got to play basketball with the boys. Playing with the Girls wasn't as much fun because they weren't that good...I was...I thought!

5 years ago...I was 20 in Cedar City dating a guy who I though I could marry...but didn't, but he really lead me on! Going to College at Southern Utah University. Probably the worst yet best learning years of my life. I still have many friends that I meet there that I am still close with.

3 years ago...Mike & I had just gotten married & moved to Sandy. We had been married for a little over a week. We were settling into our apartment & trying to make it home as well as getting to know each other...in a living together situation. Mike worked at Triumph Gear Systems in Park City & I worked at FastBucks in West Valley as the Store Manager. My parents still lived in West Valley, but were getting ready to Move to New Mexico, my dad would move in April & my family would move in June.

1 year ago...Mike & I had been married for 2 yrs, & had lived in our house in Eagle Mountain for a year. We have had Bear for a year also. Mike worked at FireTrol with his brother Chuck & didn't really like it. He was also going through Fire Fighter 1 Classes & preparing for EMT Classes. I had worked at Provo Canyon for about 6 months & growing there. Just living & loving life as best we can.

So far this year...We have already taken a vacation to Arizona to visit Friends & Family, we found out Bear has kidney failure & we have decided to start really fixing up our house. We also decided to start really thinking about starting a family...that doesn't mean we are trying, we are just really considering what we need to do to get ourselves ready, as ready as we can!

Today...Wow...I am working my butt off at work (as if you can tell...I am blogging instead of working) We are trying to do a conversion to a new system so I am trying to clean up accounts as well as my other responsibilities. Mike is now working at Home Depot in American Fork and loving it. We are trying to get him more schooling, if we can get some money help (you know how it is). Bear is not doing to good. He has kidney failure, but has had a couple good days & we are doing what we can to prolong his life. We are looking to start a family in the future, if that be next month or next year, we don't really know. We will just have to wait and see.

Later tonight...Go to the Vet & get Bear his special Food. I will go home & start dinner, Mike will come home & we will discuss our day & probably watch us some Lost! Then bed to get ready for Friday & the Weekend!

Tomorrow...FRIDAY! We will both go to work, then go home & plan our weekend. Whether it be starting another redecorating room project or planning Easter!

This year...We have our annual white water rafting trip coming up in June, we are going to get Bear healthy. Fixing up our house & many other great adventures. Mike will continue to go to Fire Fighting & EMT school in hopes of finally getting on with the Eagle Mountain FD! I will turn 26. It will probably be another crazy YEAR!

What a Weekend!

So...as you know, we went to Arizona this past weekend. We packed up our car & doggie & headed out @ 6am Friday morning. Now let me back up, to complete this story, you need to know what happened on Wednesday night. We went bed as if it was just another night & was awoken by a wet feeling in the bed @ about 4am Thursday morning. Bear had let his bladder go again in the bed. So, we are figuring that something is still not right with him. We called the vet again & let him know what had happened. He said he wanted to get a blood sample from him to run more tests. So after Mike got off work Thursday, he went & picked up Bear for the vet & took him to get his blood test done. The vet said that he wouldn't have the test results until Monday morning, so we decided to have a nice Arizona vacation, but Thursday night it happened again, Bear couldn't hold his bladder!

So Friday morning, we were off. Bear did really good on the drive down there & we made it to my Father-in-law's girlfriends house, and by the way, Mike got pulled over before Lake Powell by a Utah Highway Patrol, but he kindly gave us a warning & let us go on our way! We went to dinner @ Barrows Pizza (it was amazing, my husband didn't lie) & after that had a nice relaxing evening shopping for St. Patricks day attire for the next nights parties! Friday night it happened again, Bear had an accident. So by Saturday morning & 3 nights in a row of this, I knew something was not right.

Saturday was spent @ the Renaissance Festival. We all got dressed up (which is not really me) & went. It was a fun day. We did a lot, eat big ole turkey legs & drank a ton of pop (it was extremely hot this day) We were done with that about 4pm so we went back to Lorina (Father-in-law's girlfriend) house to get ready for the St. Patricks day parties. We went to a party & ate some food & then Mike & I decided that we wanted to go visit others while we were in AZ! As soon as we got out to the car from the party, Bear had emptied his bladder on the drivers seat! We were really frusterated & upset @ this point. We were figuring that he was already starting Kidney Failure (the vet said after the last tests that he would have this later on in life) We went & visited my Aunt Shawna & Uncle Walt in Glendale & then on to Mike's friend from High School's house - Ryan! It was a late yet fun & entertaining night. Saturday night Bear had another accident.

Sunday we spent the day at the SwapMeet & a Mall in Arizona, that was a nice & relaxing day. It was kinda rainy & stormy out, so it was nice to spend the day in. We left Bear in the Laundry room Sunday & he had 2 accidents in there. This is not normal for him. His schedule before all of this started happening was we would take him out in the morning, leave for work & he would be out for about 8-10 hours & not pee anywhere. Take him out when we get home, take him out again before bed & then we go to bed. About 8 hours of bed time & no peeing. He did good. So we know something is not right with him. We are figuring that he is going about every 2-3 hours.

Monday was the dreadful day of the test results. The vet called & he let us know the blood work came back & said he is in Kidney Failure. Bear needs to be on a special diet that will be easy on is kidneys & give him all the vitamins & nutrients that he needs. The vet is optimistic that this Food can help him to survive for about another year, but it came on fast, so he might not have very much longer. Monday was no a good day after that. It was a very emotional & stressful day. We went & visited Mike's Grandparents because I have never meet them before. His Grandma is not doing to well, so it was good for me to meet her & for him to see them again. After that we just drove, we decided to stop on Page & get a Hotel room for the night seeing as how it was 9pm & we were both physically & emotionally drained.

Tuesday we sleeped in, which was much needed. We finally got out of Page @ about 11:45am & drove home. We got home about 6pm! This was a much needed Vacation to visit family & friends that we haven't seen in a while & it was good to get away, but I am so glad to be home & the next step is to figure out what we are going to do for Bear! If you have any comments or suggesting, please let me know. Hope your St. Patricks day was great & Hope you have a great Easter if I don't blog before then! I will try to get Ren Festival pix up & just Vacation pix in general when I get home!

We Moved

So...it is official, we Moved! Not Mike & I, our Business Office. I work in a Business Office that deals with the parents of Teen students who attend different facilities. We were in an office in Orem that was so cramped. We have 7 employees & we only had 4 offices. 2 of us had to share & the other 2 were out in the hall. It was cramped. They have been talking about moving us since I have worked here (Aug. 2006) & we finally moved. I have my own office...it only took a year & a half (I was one that was sharing) My office is huge now & I don't know what to do with myself. I have so much room & it is so quiet!

We are also going to Arizona this weekend, so we are taking Friday off this week & Monday & Tuesday off next week. 4 day work week this week, 3 day work week next week & a 5 day weekend! I can't wait. Will let you know how the trip went & post pix!

Bear Updated

Hey...We finally got Bear home on Wednesday. The Vet said that his kidney is not working as normal as it should, but it is working...that is a good sign. He also said that Bear might have more kidney problems when he gets older, so we will be looking out for that...will keep you updated!
