Moving

So now that Mike and I have moved downstairs (See previous post), we had a LOT more space upstairs to spread out! So, this is what we did...

New light in the dining room (kinda blurry...)
No more toys in the Living room!
The boy's old room is now our computer room...(More details to come)
The boys are now in our old room, and Garett is in the crib!
And the boys in their new room now. They are all in the same room
We are still waiting for the baby monitor that we ordered yesterday to come, so I can sleep better downstairs knowing that I can hear them and help them if needed.

Next for our little house, moving the desk, computer and movies from the dining room into the boy's old room and now the new office/craft room and then cleaning out the other room that is done in the basement and setting it up to become Gavin's room (he is SO EXCITED to move down there with us!)

Downstairs Remodel

We have been trying to get some rooms in our basement done for a couple years now. The last couple of tax returns were spent on buying "new" to us cars and paying down some debt, but this year, we felt that we needed to put our tax return money toward the house instead of debt. So we did the wood floor in the Kitchen and Dining room and put the rest of the money toward the downstairs room (and vacation :)) So here is our Downstairs bedroom remodel...

This is how it started

After spackled, painted and starting carpet
Carpet is put in!

Us moving in!  YAY!

California Trip - Part 4 - Michelle's Wedding

After we got ready, we headed to the Condos for Michelle's wedding at 5. It was a beautiful wedding with a sand ceremony to tie in the kids. After that there were pictures taken and we headed up to the reception and had dinner and dancing. It was fun to be there with family and to see family we haven't seen for a while. It was a fun time and we are glad we got to be a part of it. After the reception, the boys were done, so we walked back to the hotel, and crashed from a busy day so that we could go home the next day.

Our Drive home was long, but we are so glad we are home now. It was a great trip and something I for one totally needed!

California Trip - Part 3 - Beach

On Friday night we went to Michelle's Rehearsal dinner and hung out at the condos right off the beach. It was a beautiful sunset and I am sad I didn't get any pictures because I left my phone in the car. It was a bit cold after the sun went down. We decided to go get ice cream after we left there party and head back to the hotel to sleep off a long day of walking around Legoland.

On Saturday, we got up and they didn't need any help setting up for the Wedding, so we drove down to the beach, but there was literally NO WHERE to Park. So we drove back up to our hotel and walked down to the beach. Gavin didn't really like the water, but loved playing in the sand. Greyson at first didn't like the sand, but started to come around to it and absolutely hated the water. And Garett hated everything about the beach, the water, sand and all of it. He finally fell asleep and took at nap and I should have put him in the sand when he woke up to see if that made a difference, but I didn't.

We went back to our hotel to get ready for the wedding after the beach. It was such a nice day on the beach and I am so glad we got a chance to take the boys and play.

California Trip - Part 2 - LegoLand

We woke up on Friday and the boys were so excited to get to LEGOLAND. It was all they could talk about since we told them the week before that we were going. It was wet and raining, but we had decided we needed to go check it out because it was our only day to do it and we had already bought the tickets. We got there about 15 minutes after they open and it was not busy at all. It rained on us until about 1pm but then the clouds departed and it was sunny the rest of the day. It was so nice, no long lines and lots of fun things to do and look at. The boys had so much fun there and are already asking when we can go back. We didn't even get through the whole park. There is so much to do there, it was a lot of fun. Enjoy the picture overload!

They had the actual sets from the Movie, it was cool!

We even met Wyldstyle
Mini-Land was amazing!

California 2015 Trip - Part 1

On Wednesday the 13th, Mike was supposed to get home from work early and we were going to pack up the Durango and head out to Vegas. Well, that didn't happen. He didn't get home until 7pm and we still had to eat dinner and finish packing. We didn't get the Durango packed and headed out of Eagle Mountain until about 10pm Wednesday night. We made it as far as Saint George at 2am. We found a hotel and brought in the bare necessities and slept until about 7:30 that morning.  We ate breakfast at the hotel, got ready and headed out of St. George at about 9 MST. It was so hot in St. George.

We stopped in Mesquite to get gas and ended up at the Walmart to get some things we had either forgot or needed to grab. We ended up spending an hour there so we got back on the road at about 10 PST. That was the longest drive ever! We didn't make it to our hotel in Oceanside, CA until about 8pm Thursday. After we got all checked in and unpacked, we headed over to Mary's condo and ate dinner with them before we decided to call it a day and head back to the hotel to sleep. It rained a lot on our drive in CA so we knew we were going to be in for it at LegoLand...

Update - Health

Here is an update on our Health...Ready?

Gavin - Is still peeing every 30 minutes. We did the finger prick and it came back in normal range. So we had to catch his pee for 24 hours to test for stuff...That test came back normal while we were at Legoland. So now, we have to meet with a Pediatric Urologist to see if there is a blockage. If there is not a blockage, then we will check Neuro next. On the 24th of April he got Strep, but that cleared up quickly with some antibiotics. Other than that, Gavin is good! (PS) - While we were on vacation, he didn't pee really that much, so I don't know if it is all in his head or what is going on.

Gavin with Strep - He was so excited to wear a face mask
Greyson - We are finally getting him Dental Insurance FINALLY! That will start June 1st so I will get him an appointment with a Dentist that will sedate him and will take our new insurance. He is still on the acid reflux medication which is helping so much. He hasn't had a choke or hold food in his mouth and not eat for a while episode in a while. YAY! Everything else with Grey is great!

Garett - Isn't talking much and the doctor is concerned about it. He wants me to work with him this month to get him to say more words. He has words Mama, Dada, Hi, but he would only say them when you said them to him first and repeat them. Now he is saying these words when he wants us or sees us and he is saying Hello and signing More, so that I think is an improvement. In July when I take him to his 18 month well child check, I will see what the Dr. thinks then.

Mike - He is good! Healthy and Happy! YAY! At least someone is!

Me - I had Bell's Palsy at the end of April, a very mild case of it thankfully. It started out with everything tasting like wax, then my right eye started twitching, then the right side of my mouth started twitching, then the bone behind my right ear started hurting and the right side of my face started to go numb. I couldn't feel anything on my lips and when I would rub them together, it felt weird. I couldn't wear my contact in my right eye too, it would be fuzzy and weird. So I started some steroids and that helped bring my face back! YAY! And I am now back to normal. Hopefully that doesn't happen again!

Mother's Day 2015

This year Mother's Day we spend Saturday doing housework and fixing the Durango before we could go to California on Vacation.  It rained ALL.DAY.LONG! So Soccer games were cancelled and we didn't go to the Zoo because it was raining. We ended up going to dinner at Ruby River in Provo with Mary and then on Sunday we spent the day collecting Gavin's pee, (see previous post) eating yummy food, and going to church. I am thankful for my 3 little Gs and for Mike!

Bath Time

The Tuesday before we left on Vacation, we were so scrunched for time with Greyson's soccer practice and dinner and packing that we just threw all 3 boys in the bath together. They loved it.

Cold Stone Field Trip

In April, the day after Grey's birthday, his preschool class went on a field trip to Cold Stone. It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot. We even got some ice cream.
