Gavin's School Halloween

Gavin gets to wear his Halloween costume 4 times this year.  Once for Music Class, once for Trunk or Treat, once for Preschool and once again tonight for Trick or Treating.  Here are the Pictures of Music Class and Preschool.  Love this kid:)

Carving Pumpkins 2012

This year was kind of CRAPPY for pumpkin carving.  First, I was sick last weekend so we couldn't go to the pumpkin patch :(.  So Monday on my lunch break I went to Harmons and picked up 4 pumpkins.  Mike got home from work late so we didn't start until 7.  Gavin again didn't want to help {because he didn't want to get his hands dirty} and Greyson was all about getting in everyones business and helping in anyway he can. In the meantime, the boys start getting cranky.  So I bathe them and we put them to bed.  Mike and I cut, gut, stencil, and carve all four pumpkins {one is just a disco ball} right before Mike goes to throw up!  And two of the pumpkins were rotted out and disgusting!  At least we can say we did it and they are done.  The boys loved them the next day!

Trunk or Treat

Last night we had Trunk or Treat for YWs.  It was a crazy busy night with Mike sick and me left to figure out {in an hour} how to decorate the Durango and take the boys by myself.  Here is the boys {the best picture we could get} before the Trunk or Treat and the Car decorated.  It was a great night and Gavin and Greyson loved it.  They can't wait to go Trick or Treating tonight!

I Love to See the Temple

On October 20th, my cousin was married in the Bountiful Temple.  It is SUCH a beautiful place.  We got some pictures of us and the boys around the Temple grounds with my iPhone that I loved and thought I would share and save in my 2012 blog book!

80s Night

A couple weeks ago at YWs we had an 80s night!  It was so much fun dressing up, guessing 80s songs and karaoke.

Head Wound

On October 18th, we had just gotten back from a {cold} family walk. I started the boy's bath, and Mike was chatting with Cathy {My sister} who was in town.  Gavin was in the bath, Greyson wanted to be in on the action and as he never slows down or stops was running all over the place.  He was trying to toddle out of the bathroom, tripped on my feet and his head connected with the corner of the step stool in the bathroom...Needless to say we have survived our first bloody head wound!

Family Update

It has been a couple weeks or so since I did a family update...so, here you go!

Greyson - 18 months old now. Hasn't been to nursery yet because we were sick on Sunday, so we will see how that goes.  Has surgery scheduled on 11/7.  Loves to play with Gavin, talk, play outside, eat, get into things he shouldn't.  His favorite TV shows are Yo Gabba Gabba and Phineas and Ferb.

Gavin - Still loving Preschool, and music class.  Loves Nursery.  Loves to play with friends and color.  He does really good with his colors, shapes and letters.  He can count to 30.  He sings lots of songs to us.  He loves to read books.  Would rather do anything outside.  Loves Chicken Nuggets.  Has stopped napping because we found if he took a nap, he would be up until 10 and keep Greyson up as well.  Loves Milk and freaks out if he can't have it (especially when he is sick and throwing up, it is his comfort?)  His favorite TV shows are WordWorld and Color Crew.

Mike - Is still loving his job at K&S Automotive.  He got a 1$ raise the first paycheck working there :)  Still doesn't really have a calling, we are still waiting for one for him.  Still goes back and forth about the Navy, but pretty much does it for now until I guess he fully makes up his mind or the 6 years and IRR takes effect.  Loves driving the Durango again and is happy with his 20 minute commute.

Alicia - Pretty much done Christmas Shopping, I really don't have that much to go.  Still in the Young Women and getting more a more used to it every week.  Had a really rough month, not because I turned 30, but because we had a babysitter quit on us, so we needed to find someone new, plus with all the new talk of going back to school, and how to pay for everything, things have just been crazy.  Everything so far as fallen into place and everything else that needs to will as well.

Whew!  I guess nothing really much new going on over here.  We have been sick the last weekend and it seems that right around Halloween something gets us, but we won't let it win!  We are so excited to celebrate Halloween and jump right into Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Just to remember

My little Gav Monkey and Grey Grey are so cute!  Here are some things I want to remember!

We call Gavin - Gav Monkey, Monkey or Gav
We call Greyson - Grey Grey, Baby Grey Grey, Grey, Bear

Gavin knows his dad works on Cars and asks him all the time if he can go to work with him to work on cars.  He thinks I work on Pictures...I have no idea where he got that idea from, but he asks me when I get home from work if I went to work to work on pictures, or if he is up when I leave for work he asks if he can come with me to work on pictures.

These boys love to play with my new iPhone.  They love to take pictures of themselves and each other and of all of us :)

Gavin's favorite letter is G - He looks for them everywhere we go.  He will even tell you when he sees a lowercase g.  So cute.

My little Grey Grey has been a trooper this last weekend and has been the only that hasn't gotten sick.  Mike, Gavin and I have all had the 24 hour stomach flu going around.  Gotta keep him healthy before the surgery (see post below)

Greyson knows a lot of words, but is seems most of them are action words, or food.  I am trying to teach him body parts or colors, or letters and numbers but nope, he won't have anything to do with it right now :)

18 Months

This little guys is now 18 months old!  Wha...for realizzies?

Here is what he has been up to the last SEVERAL months (since we haven't updated...oops)

*His last weight on 9/24 was 20.4 lbs 2%tile
*His last height on 9/24 was 31 Inches 25%tile
*His last head circumference 9/24 was 19.3 Inches 86%tile

So his is taking after his brother in being skinning, semi short with a big head :)

*He is a talker.  Most of the time we don't have a problem communicating with each other, he tells me what he wants, and I can tell him what is happening.  We all pretty much understand each other.

*He is still a really good eater.  He has to feed himself, if he can't feed himself, he won't eat.  He still really likes fruits.

*He does mimick a lot of things we do, and Gavin does.  Him and Gavin do play a lot better together lately.

*He has started to not like baths as much, but we think it is when he has water in his face that he doesn't like.

*He has been on Almond Milk for the last couple weeks and really likes it.  We do still give him Cows milk on occasion and we really haven't seen a difference yet on digestive track, so maybe it isn't dairy?

*He is still on Miralax everyday and it has been keeping him pretty regular, which is what we want.  He still has his days every couple of weeks or so that he will get backed up, but we just double up doses and he is back on track.

*We have his surgery scheduled on November 7th for his Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy.  I pretty much think that since we have had it scheduled (for over a month) I have been in complete and utter denial, but now that it is a week away, I am starting to get the paperwork filled out, the prescriptions filled and freak out a bit.

*He is another outside boy and loves to do anything that involved being outside.  He always asks to go outside too.

*He is still pretty much a momma's boy, or anyone around that he knows :)

*Him and Gavin are still sleeping in the same room and doing good!

*He is in some 18 month clothes, still some 12 month clothes, size 3 diapers and size 4 shoes.

*He is a little climber.  He will climb on the couch, to the back of the couch and stand up there to reach the light switch to turn it on or off.  He will climb the chairs in the kitchen.  He will climb in the fridge when it gets opened up.  He will climb on his activity table to see in the toy box.  He is a climber.

*He just toddles all over the play, wants to do things on his own, and tries to help out or bully his brother whenever he can, but he is still a big cuddler.

We just love this little spit fire!  What a joy is he to us and I can't wait to see what new things he will start doing!

2012 Family Pictures

We got our 2012 Family pictures taken last weekend at Fotofly.  I am not going to lie, I was not to impressed with the photographer and I feel like we should have gotten a lot more shots then 38 in the 45+ minutes we were there...but oh well, such is life.  We did get some really good ones.  Here are some besides the ones that I like on the side of the blog.
