The End of {Another} Era

Last Wednesday July 4th was the last night I nursed Greyson:)

Can you hear the angels sing?

While we were camping Greyson slept so good he didn't wake up early (4am) to feed in the morning so we dropped that early morning feed.  Then when we got back I knew there are some concerts and other things coming up that Mike & I want to get out for and nursing was just holding us back on that, so on Thursday I just didn't nurse him.  He has done great!:)  He still goes to bed in his crib in the same room as Gavin and they sleep until 7ish.  I nursed him for 1 year 2 months and 1 week:) (a new record for me as Greyson likes to set these records, I was pregnant longer with him and nursed him longer)

EM/SS Fire

June 21st some target shooters in our area started a wild fire.  At first is wasn't really bad, but by that Thursday night it had spread onto our side of the mountain and by Friday Morning it was pretty down low on the mountain.  We weren't really ever in danger and the firefighters got it under control on our side of the mountain pretty fast on Friday.  It was finally under control by Sunday and no homes were damaged!  So very thankful for the firefighters who worked so hard to save our houses and area!

The Zoo - Part 3 - Phone Pictures

This post is all the zoo pictures we took while riding the carosel and train.  Greyson had a rough time on the carosel, he didn't really like it.  Gavin loved riding it and wanted to keep going.  We then went to the train and Gavin liked looking at all the animals and waving at all the people we were passing.  Greyson was just content to sit on my lap and ride.  The zoo was such a fun experience, I can't wait to go back again and again!

The Zoo - Part 2 - Our Pictures

Of course while we had to get pictures with the stuff there for rights of passage and Memory keepsakes, so here they are.  Enjoy!

The Zoo - Part 1 - The Animals

On Memorial Day, Mike decided he wanted to do something fun as a family. We decided to go to the Zoo. Mike took our nice camera and took a lots of pictures of the animals. Gavin and Greyson loved being outside and looking at all the animals. Here are some of our favorites and highlights!

One notable story to mention.  When we are going to ride the train we lost Gavin. He had walked around the corner where he thought he saw me walk.  When we found him he looked at me like, hello, I have been here the hole time.  Glad we found him safe and sound!

Update

So we are back from vacation (Jackson Hole), I haven't posted in FOREVER, and have LOTS of posts to catch up on, but I thought I could post a quick update post/things that are on my mind for all you interested.

Gavin, Greyson and I just got back from Jackson Hole on Saturday.  We left on Thursday and it was hard by myself but it was so much fun and I am thankful for my family who helped me a ton.  Gavin and Greyson both loved camping and I think we will do it again.

Greyson is now down to nursing once a day :)  I am going to try to wean him of that before bedtime nurse in the next week or so (FREEDOM!)

The boys are now sleeping in the same room :)  (MORE FREEDOM!)  I am thankful for Camping and the insite it gave me that the boys would be fine and do great in the same room.  So far it has been amazing!

Starting the diet again.  We are doing a 30 day Biggest Loser at work and we are starting today ending the 31st of July.  Back to the diet grind :)

I only gained 2 lbs on vacation, so really I need to lose another 5 lbs to get down to my goal/prepregnancy Gavin weight.  Not to shabby :)

I will restart the 30 Day/300 Rep Ab Challenge.  I forgot I was going on Vacation, and had a rough weekend before, so it kind of stopped.  I am back on it! :)

As soon as I am done nursing, I am going to do that 7 day cleanse.  So excited to do it & lose these last lbs I have.  Check it out here!

We are still going through our basement and selling things on the EM 24/7 Yard Sale FB page or EM Odds and Ends FB page.  Maybe one day the downstairs will be ready to be finished.

I guess since everyone else knows, I should just put it out there that we are done having babies.  So thankful for my 2 little guys!

I am taking my blog off private.  I don't know why, my babies are older now, Mike isn't doing anything with the Navy, we live in BFE EM, so I think I feel comfortable as of right now to take it off private.  If that changes I will let you know.  (maybe more people will read it & comment now) :)

I think that is it...Stay tuned for the Zoo posts, Jackson Hole posts, 4th of July posts and I am sure many more to come!
