Family Update

Lets end todays posts with a Family Update, because it has been a while, shall we?

Garett: He is 10 months old now and giving me a run for my money.  He is my earliest to crawl and all that fun stuff.  He still eats 6 formula bottles a day, and about 18 ounces a day.  He also eats his fruits and vegetables very well everyday.  He will eat pancakes and french toast, bread, pasta, rice and other fun stuff like that.  He sleeps in his pack-n-play in our room every night from about 8 to 5:30.  He is in size 3 diapers and size 12 month clothes.  He is my fastest growing baby too.  Both other boys would still be in 6-9 month clothes at this point.  He loves to bounce and play and eat really is what he does right now.  He does nap twice a day and is really good about that.

Greyson: I am telling you, this kid will be the death of me.  He loves nursery now that I am in there with him.  That will change in 6 weeks when he goes to primary.  He loves cereal and pop tarts and granola bars and string cheese, but that is all he will really eat.  He loves this new show that we found on Netflix called Oscars Oasis.  He won't take naps anymore and loves going to preschool.  He is in size 7 shoes and size 3T clothes.  He is fully potty trained during the day (I think I didn't blog about that) but we still put pull ups on him at night. Some mornings he wakes up dry and others he doesn't.  We are still giving him Miralax every couple days or so just to make sure things are moving.  He likes to read books with Gavin and I at night and is learning so much.

Gavin: Gavin loves Kindergarten.  He has a lot of friends and is learning so many new things and can read, it is awesome!  He is my Christmas child and really should have been born at Christmas.  My first pregnancy we were due on Christmas Day but had a miscarriage, so maybe he really is my Christmas baby, just 3 months later.  He loves Christmas movies, music, decorations, Santa. He is in Size 5T clothes and size Child Small and 4/6 Child. He is pretty much potty trained day and night.  He loves to read books for the most part and love to color and draw pictures and tell stories from the pictures he draws.  Gavin loves to play the Wii and would play it all day every day if we would let him.  He also loves to do homework and asks me everyday if we can do his homework for the day.

Michael: Is interested in going to school, but can't decide if he wants to do Nursing or Airplane Mechanic.  He was just released as the Bear Scout Leader so he is in between callings right now.  He is still working at K&S in Lehi and about half of the time, likes it.  We are working on saving some money so that we can finish the basement so that in a couple months we can move things around and have a place for all the boys.

Me:  I have 2 more weeks left of school and then break for the Christmas Break.  I am trying to decide (if Mike decides not to go back right away) if I want to quit my job and go to school full time in April (if I get into the Dental Hygiene) program or if I want to continue to work (slowly) toward getting my pre reqs.  I am still in the Nursery and love it!  Other than that, working full time, going to school, taking care of 3 boys and a husband and running a household. You know.  I think that is the update from us.

Funny Greyson

Every week when we go to do our errands and shopping usually on Friday night, I can always turn around and expect to see this.

This is what happens when you are 3 and refuse to take a nap anymore.  At 5 o'clock you are tired and not running around so you sleep!

These Boys

I love these 4 boys! I am so thankful for them in my life!

Garett 10 Months

Ok, who told him he could grow up?  He is 10 months old, crawling all over the place and pulling himself up standing on everything.  He has started to let go of things while he is holding on too.  Gavin and Greyson were both about 11 months before they started crawling and didn't even start walking until about 16 months. This one might be my early walker.  I kinda hope not...

Halloween 2014

This Year for Halloween, Gavin wanted to be Phineas, Ferb and Perry the Platypus.  It took a couple months to find everything to go into the costumes, but it all came together in the end. Gavin was sick the day of Halloween after he came home from school, but still wanted to go Trick-Or-Treating and the boys scored a lot of candy this year and were out until 9:30.

Carving Pumpkins

The Monday before Halloween we had FHE and carved Pumpkins.  I don't have any fun pictures, just these two of as starting to carve.  I didn't even take one of the after. BOO. But we did it this year! YAY!

Greyson Field Trip (October)

In October, Greyson's preschool class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch.  They had a corn maze, picture boards, playground and animals there for everyone to see, plus much more.  We had a lot of fun.  Greyson had his croupy cough that day and had his shinner still, but he loved looking at the animals and getting his pumpkin.  There was also a train track that ran just along the pumpkin patch property and the frontrunner train zoomed by twice while we were there which Grey loved.

Greyson's Face (Again)

On the 20th of October we had the Missionaries over for dinner and while we were in the kitchen finishing up dinner and talking, the boys were done eating and in the living room playing.  All of a sudden we heard a thud and screaming crying from Greyson.  He had rolled off the couch and hit his head on the window ledge.  He still to this day has a bruise on his cheek.  I tell you, he will put me in an early grave.  I took him to the Doctor on the 22nd for croup and had the Dr. check his eye.  He said he thought everything was ok and if it does something weird, to let him know.  I kinda think now that it is weird that he still has a bruise.

The day after it happened, it wasn't even that bad yet.

Our Yard

This Summer, a company in Eagle Mountain that wanted to put Fiber optics in our neighborhood tore through our yard and didn't even tell us they were coming or doing it. (HATERS) They still haven't replaced our grass!

Projects

In September and October we worked on a lot of projects.  We did Christmas gifts and painted our Front Door.  We also make Pedestals for our Washer and Dryer to save us $500, and also because the ones we order with the Washer and Dryer were too big.  I love the way our door turned out and the Pedestals better than the ones we ordered.  We got our carpet cleaned in October and that has been awesome.

Big Brother, Little Brother

I have a picture of Gavin and Greyson in these Big Brother, Little Brother shirts and before Garett grows out of his shirt, I needed to get a picture of Greyson and Garett in them.  It didn't turn out very well, but there is a picture! (This was taken on my birthday!)

Pink Hair, Don't Care

I decided for family pictures this year that I wanted something different.  I have done the brown hair, and blonde hair, and even red hair.  So I wanted to dye the tips of my hair pink.  It was awesome, and it is all gone now and I miss it.  Maybe I will do it again!

Funny Garett

Here is a picture of Garett sleeping funny, with the blanket over his head!

Garett Milk Update

In September, Garett had another flare up of his eczema.  But this time it was on his belly, not his forehead.  We got it under control and it hasn't been as bad as it was since, so hopefully we can start and finish the winter good.  We changed his laundry detergent and fabric softener and we stopped washing him every other day with soap.  We only wash him once a week and lather him up every day in Cetaphil.  He is still on Similac Sensitive Formula.

Greyson's First Field Trip

Greyson went on his first Field Trip in September to the Fire Station.  I was able to go with him and we had a lot of fun.  He is still a little shy when I am around, and didn't want to do anything unless I was right with him, but it was fun for him to go see all the stuff at the fire station.

8 Months

Here is Garett at 8 months.  He is my little mover.  Gavin and Greyson both moved, but not anything like how Garett has, or even as early as he has!

Scheels

In August, when Mike's dad came to visit, we went to Scheels and had a great time browsing around the store.  The boys loved taking pictures.

Baby Food

In September we went to stock up on our local case lot sales and came away with a huge box of peaches.  So, to use the peached, I made some baby food for Garett.  I have ALWAYS wanted to make my own baby food, but something was always stopping me.  We bought a Blendtec for Mothers day this year, so everything was perfect.  I made yummy peach baby food and Garett loved it!

Ogden Temple Open House

On August 31st we went up to Ogden to go through the Temple open house.  It was so much fun and great to see Gavin love the place and want to go back.  He kept saying out pretty everything was. The lady behind us in line even commented to us how behaved our kids were (Thanks Lady)!  It was a long day, but it was worth it to spend the day in the Temple with my little family!

Lights

Speaking of Bunk Beds.  We got them at Ikea and so Mike wanted to get lights to go on their beds so that they could see in the middle of the night when they needed to get up to go potty or something.  So, I had to take a picture of a night with the lights on.  I couldn't sleep in a room like this.  Our room is black!

Look at this cute little guy!

Same Hair

My boys have the same hair.  It is funny, and cute!

The big picture in blue is Greyson.  Gavin is the top right in the vest and Garett on the bottom.

Greyson Hand Update

One of the last things I blogged before I took my break was about Greyson's hand and how he burned it.  It is going so good and he doesn't mention it or complain about it at all.  It actually
looks normal.  He burned it when he was helping me make dinner which he used to do all the time.  Well, his first day of preschool, he helped me make dinner again!  I loved it!

I only had to tell him about 4 times that the stove was hot and to not touch it.  I am not going through a burn hand situation again!

Gavin Kindergarten

On Tuesday, August 26th, Gavin started Kindergarten.  That was a little bit harder for me.  But, he is doing so great.  He has the same teacher he had for preschool and we Love Ashley so it is great.  He has a lot of friends and is learning so much.  He can read so well.  We are so proud of him!

Greyson Preschool

On August 25th, Greyson started Preschool.  He was kind of excited to go, but now loves going.  He goes to Jenny Penny Preschool in the neighborhood next to us.  He has learned so much and prays often about the letters he will learn the next day at school.  He goes Monday and Wednesday from 9:15 to 11:15.

August Boys

Visit from Grandpa

Mike's dad came to visit us in August.  It was so great to see him and have him meet Greyson and Garett.  We haven't seen him in 4 years so it was a nice visit.  Here he is with the boys.

All three of the boys loved him and were so excited to have him the 3 days we got to spend with him.  We need to see him more often!

Garett

Here is Garett at 7 months! He is sitting up and becoming a big boy!

Bunk Beds

As I mentioned in my last post, we bought the boys bunk beds so that they could have more room and their room to put the toys and play, and to have the toys out of the living room for more room out there.  Gavin had a rough time the first week with it being on the top, but had done great since then and they love the beds!
