11 Months

My baby will be 1 in a month. How crazy is that? Let us catch up with him and see what he has been up to!

*I took him to the Dr. on the 23rd and he weighed 18 lbs 13.5 ozs.

*He says dada, mama, no, da (dog), done, baba. He claps at everything and points at you when you walk into the room

*He is an eater. He will eat anything and everything you give him: Chicken, pasta, rice, bread, bananas, raspberries, strawberries, fries, mac & cheese, tortillas, cheese...Lets just say he doesn't starve. He still nurses 4-5 times a day as well.

*He is finally crawling, on Friday he finally decided that he could move around on his knees so he started crawling.

*He still has 6 teeth, is in 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

*He is pulling himself up on everything and anything he can get himself to. He likes to get into everything he can.

*He would rather be playing with a toy or moving around the floor trying to get to something then watch whatever is playing on the TV.

*He is still a big time momma's boy and would rather be with mommy then anyone else if I am around.

*He is getting better and better at sleeping all through the night again.

*He loves to ride in the shopping cart.

*He is the happiest baby I know. He is always cheesing it and making funny noises.

Can't wait for what is ahead for us with this little guy!

3rd Birthday Party

We had Gavin's 3rd Birthday Party on the 10th. It was a Fun day. We went grocery shopping to get the remainder of the stuff then started cooking and baking. We ordered Pizza from Tenney's Pizza and made Parmesan and Cinnamon Bites as well as Spicy and BBQ wings. Gavin then opened his gifts and we all enjoyed the great company! Thanks everyone who was able to attend and make it a great day for Gavin!

More Birthday

The night before Gavin's birthday Mike went and bought a helium tank and some balloons at Walmart for $20. We blew up the balloons and put them all over Gavin's room. He woke up on his birthday SO EXCITED to see the balloons!

Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3

We went to see Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3 for Gavin's birthday. He loved every minute of it & Greyson loved it too! I definitely think we will be doing this again!

Gavin's Birthday

Gavin's Birthday was March 9th, so almost 2 weeks ago! We had a great day! Lets go over the highlights...
We wanted to wear our sunglasses out
We went out for a Birthday Brunch
We went to the Park
We rode Trax to Downtown Salt Lake
Dad & Greyson were on Trax too!
We loved Disney on Ice

Can you resist?

How can you resist this little cutie! I can't...

T & A

Um...Get your head out of the gutter!

So this is a LONG OVERDUE post...

As you all probably know, Greyson has been having drama, after Drama, after DRAMA with his breathing since August when he got a cold. We have been through the Asthma diagnosis, to Allergies, to Teething and colds. We have tried breathing treatments and allergy medication to try to help he sleep better at night & get his continuous congestion down. Nothing was working. We finally got a referral to an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) Dr. and took Greyson in on the 24th of Feb. The Dr. asked all sorts of questions and looked in his nose and throat and determined that Greyson's Tonsils and Adenoids were enlarged. He said that since Greyson is thriving and seems more healthly than not that we would have to wait until he is 18 months old for surgery. So, in the meantime, we are to not be around sick people because the makes it harder for him to breathe if he does get sick and wait it out for 9 months before we get him checked out again to see if he is still having a hard time breathing and get the surgery scheduled. I will keep you all updated on what is going on with him...

7 Years

Happy Anniversary to Mike & Me! YAY! 7 years. That feels like a long time. It feels like we have gone through lifetimes by now. We celebrated the day by taking Gavin to his 3 year well child check up, dropping the kids off with the babysitter, going to Tucanos and drinking lots of Caffeine, and going to the park with the kids for a dinner picnic and off to icecream to finish out the day. It was a great day! Happy Anniversary Mike!

Happy Birthday Gavin!

Happy 3rd Birthday Gavin! I can't believe that it has been 3 years since you arrived into our lives. What a smart, funny, happy, loving, proud little guy you are! We are so lucky to have you in our lives. We have had a lot of ups and downs, laughs, temper tantrums, fun and live in these 3 years and we are so excited to see what is going to come next. Hopefully this fall we will get you into preschool so you can learn lots more. I hope we can just watch your personality grow and see you learn even more as you continue to progress.

You are the best big brother ever. You were made to be a big brother and I am glad we had the opportunity to give you a little brother, someone you can share things with and be friends with. I hope you guys will grow together and be great friends your whole life.

This year we are going to work on your temper tantrums. I probably think they are worse and happen way more then they probably really do, but we need to figure out a way to communicate with each better so the temper tantrums become less and less.

You are such a happy (most of the time) little guy and we are so excited to be on this journey of life and learning with you. Remember, Mom & Dad love you alway and forever! Thank you for choosing us and coming into our family. You help complete our family and we can't imagine our lives without you. We love you so much and look forward to teaching you and leading you and helping you grow all while learing and growing from you! Happy 3rd Birthday Little Guy, we hope it is the BEST YEAR YET!

Love, Mom & Dad

Ultimate 72-Hour Kit

I found this somewhere online & decided to copy and paste onto a Word Document to have it so I can start getting us some 72 hour kits ready. I decided I should post it here to for everyone who reads my blog that is interested as well. It is the BEST and the EASIEST 72 hour kit I have found.

Here is the list of contents you will need for each packet. The packet is good for 2-5 years, depending on where you keep it and if it gets opened.

Ultimate 72-Hour Kit

3 packs of instant oatmeal
3 packets of hot chocolate
2 granola bars
3 beef jerky sticks
4 apple cider packets
3 packs of Ramen
2 small cans of fruit (lunch sized fruit cocktail things)
9 pieces of small hard candy (like a pack of Life Savers)
1 small pack of gum (no peppermint flavor)
2 fruit snack type food (this can be fruit roll-ups small boxes of raisins, fruit chew snacks...)
1 plastic spoon

If you plan to do multiple kits, you times the above amounts by the number of packs needed. You will need to store a gallon of water per pack for cooking some of these items and another 2 liters per person per day in your completed 72 hour kit. I would guess that if you can find an appropriate substitute for any items that you don't care for on this list, you could include it. Remember this is just for emergency purposes, so you can't put a lot in your kit. Also, I cannot stress that you do not put anything peppermint in your food pack. It will permeate all of your food pack and it isn't very good.

So there it is...Good luck if you are going to start on yours as well. I am hoping to have 4 72-hour kits ready by the end of March!

Starting him out early

Gavin loves to help us with anything he can. It is the same when the Vacuum comes out. Mike decided to let him try it out. Sorry for the blurry pictures and the naked baby in the background but it was to cute to pass up!

Mad Skillz

Greyson has mad skillz! He could start crawling anyday now. He will get up on his knees and rock back and forth.

More Valentines

This year for Valentines day we had a contest at work for best Valentines, Valentines Box and Valentines treat. Then...Nobody did it. Here were my creations. I gotta start now for when Gavin & Greyson will need to start doing them.
