Christmas Trees

Gavin and Greyson have been big on Christmas Trees this year so I found this pin on pinterest that you can take an icecream cone, turn it upside down and decorate it like a gingerbread house as a Christmas Tree.  I had some icecream cones, bought some frosting and candy and we started our adventure.  Gavin had so much fun decorating his tree and then eating the frosting, Greyson liked eating all the candy off his tree as I was putting it on and Mike liked trying different things with his tree.

Christmas 2012

Our Christmas this year was so great.  It is so fun having kids.  We didn't get any pictures because we took video of all the opening of presents.  I am trying to open a youtube account and download all our videos for the special people in our lives.  If you would like a link to our youtube videos to see Christmas leave us me a comment and I will send you a link to your email we have on the blog.

Greyson's favorite gift was - Wrapping paper, and all the cars.

Gavin's favorite gift was - His LeapPad

My favorite gift was - My new Griddle!

Mike's favorite gift was - His new Tool Box, which is a totally different story.

We had a great morning sleeping to 8am, then opening stockings, then presents.  Then we cleaned up the wrapping paper and played with the gifts.  We then napped and I worked on dinner.  We then ate and made some m&m cookies and finished off the night watching some new movies we got for Christmas!  We already can't wait until Christmas 2013!

Santa 2012

We saw Santa twice again this year (and didn't have to pay for pictures - YAY.)  We saw him the first weekend in December at Walmart and again on Christmas Eve in our Neighborhood again. Gavin again this year was so in love with Santa. He kept telling us and Santa he wanted Presents with toys for Christmas. He loved getting a candy cane and stuffed animal from Santa.  Greyson on the other hand wanted NOTHING to do with Santa, thus we have our first crying Santa picture.

2012 Christmas Ornaments

This years 2012 Christmas Ornaments

Gavin's Ornament this year was Music sheet and drums because of Music Class.
Greyson's ornament this year is a needle, prescription and stethoscope because of all the Dr. Appts. and Surgery.

Christmas Eve

This year Christmas Eve was pretty chill at our house...And I LOVED IT!  Mike had to work half a day and Gavin, Greyson and I hung out at home relaxing and watching movies.  I had to go to Walmart because we decided last minute to do Neighbor gifts, so I had to get stuff for that.  Later we delievered the Neighbor gifts, ate lots of candy and sweets that people had brought to us and watched more movies.  We then had the boys unwrap their Christmas Jammies and blanket (I decided this year to "make" a fleece blanket for the boys because they always want a blanket for the living room) gave the boys baths and then we were relaxing in our jammies with our blankets.  Stay tuned for the Santa post!

Wrapping Paper

This Year, Greyson was more interested in the wrapping paper (and ripping it all up) then the presents he was getting out of the wrapping paper!

When little guys get stuck

Here is Greyson, getting stuck inbetween the bed and wall and the TV and TV/Movie stand.  I don't know how or why he gets himself into these situations, but it always ends up with me running to get the camera to document it and him crying because I'm not helping him.

Time Out Chair

Way back when (in July) I decided that it was time we had a Time Out Chair. I don't know why I decided to "make" one but I found some that I really liked on Pinterest and though, "how hard could it be?" So I went to DI and couldn't find a chair that I liked so I checked Savers next. I found a couple that I liked that would work for the idea I had in my head, so I bought one and away we went. I sanded it, repainted it, found a timer on Everythingkitchens.com that I really liked and Velcroed it on the chair. Then the chair sat, and sat, and sat until November when I finally got all the vinyl that I wanted cut out and put on the Chair! It was now complete. I love the finished result and even though the boys don't like to be sent to time out, they still love the time out chair.

Grey's Surgery

As you know, Greyson had Surgery on November 7th.  He was such a trooper.  The surgery was literally only 29 minutes long.  Dr. Porter came out and told me everything went good.  When I finally got to see him, he was awake and freaking out!  He cried for a good 45 minutes before we could give him meds.  He finally calmed down and by the end of the day, before they released him, he was toddling all over the Children's unit playing with toys and pushing his IV roller around everywhere.  The next couple days after surgery were hard, but we got through them and for the most part we are all back to normal (with the exception of sleeping through the night)  He had his check up on the 26th of November and he was all healed up.  On day 10 he did get a fever, but that seemed to be the turning point of his recovery!  We are so thankful for our little Grey Bear!

All checked in
In his gown ready for surgery
After surgery and meds, being happy
No more IV ready to break out of the Hospital

Love

Since I got my iPhone, all the boys want to do is take pictures.  I have lots of Crazy, funny, cute pictures of me and the boys on my phone but I love this one because it is the 3 of us! Love these crazy cute boys!

Thanksgiving

I was MIA this year for Thanksgiving, but I have so much (again and every year) to be thankful for.  We made these cute little 2x4 Turkey's in YWs a couple weeks before Thanksgiving and I still have mine up, to remind me that I have a lot to be thankful for and that I need to remember that all year long, not just during Thanksgiving!

Church

It is time to start getting caught back up in the blogging world!  It was a nice month long break, but my Blog Book will soon need to be ordered, so I have to get caught up in order to order this years Blog Book...If you know what I mean.  Lets start with some easy posts...shall we?

This was taken a couple weeks ago (on the 16th I believe), my boys all ready for church.  Aren't they so cute?  Love them!

First Snow

The Saturday after Greyson's surgery (November 10) we took Gavin and Greyson outside to play in the first snow storm we had this year.  Gavin loved it and Greyson was just excited to get outside.  Gaivn stayed out and played for hours!  He even loved the hot chocolate afterward (which he usually doesn't)

30

Well, since I have been 30 for MONTHS now...I guess it is officially time to BLOG about it:)

My birthday was October 2nd, I did turn 30 and it was a GREAT day!

We started out sleeping in.  Feed the boys and bathed them (the night before was bath night and we were all in horrible moods so we all went to bed) Then sold some stuff and made our way to breakfast at Burger King. After some Cinnamon Rolls at Burger Kings we made our way to Scheels in Draper/Sandy area (One of our new favorite stores)  We were there for about 2 hours scoping it out and enjoying each others company.  Gavin and I rode the Farris Wheel and played some fun games as well as got some pictures in their Staged Photo Booths they have placed around the store.  After Scheels we went to Barnes and Noble to get some stuff for YW that night then off to lunch at the Cow (Chick-Fil-A).  We then did more shopping at the Mall, Old Navy (where I got me some colored jeans:) and Seagull Book & Tape.  We did some grocery shopping and finished the day off with Pizza for dinner and my favorite cake (German Chocolate) with 30 candles on top!  I had Young Women's that night so it was all in all a great day!

Halloween

As you already know, the boys were Minions for Halloween this year.  We had a lot of fun finding, making, buying and putting together these customes and the Boys loved them.  On Halloween I picked up the boys from the sitters, came home, made dinner.  The boys ate really fast and were itching to get out the door.  We put the costumes on as fast as we could and headed out the door.  We just went around our little block and both boys had a blast (except for a couple mini meltdowns from Greyson because we weren't letting him walk by himself)  We started the night at 6, made it back home a little after 7, took some pictures, bathed the boys and were in bed by 8!  Gavin is really excited to go Trick or Treating next year!  All in all a successfully night!

Bed Head

The day after Halloween Greyson woke up with the CRAZIEST bed head!  Cutest 18 month old EVER!

Cute Gav

Isn't this kid just so cute?  He is such a little ham when the camera comes out!  I don't even have to pose him anymore!

Halloween Fun-ness

This year when Aunt Cathy was here visiting, we decided to go to the Spirit Halloween Store to walk around and see what we could find to Scare Gavin (He doesn't scare that easily)  When we were in there they had these Stalks that you put your head and hands in like you are being punished.  Cathy and I decided it would be funny to get pictures, and Gavin saw it and wanted to try it too, in the little kiddie one they had there as well!  Aren't we funny? :)

Gavin's School Halloween

Gavin gets to wear his Halloween costume 4 times this year.  Once for Music Class, once for Trunk or Treat, once for Preschool and once again tonight for Trick or Treating.  Here are the Pictures of Music Class and Preschool.  Love this kid:)

Carving Pumpkins 2012

This year was kind of CRAPPY for pumpkin carving.  First, I was sick last weekend so we couldn't go to the pumpkin patch :(.  So Monday on my lunch break I went to Harmons and picked up 4 pumpkins.  Mike got home from work late so we didn't start until 7.  Gavin again didn't want to help {because he didn't want to get his hands dirty} and Greyson was all about getting in everyones business and helping in anyway he can. In the meantime, the boys start getting cranky.  So I bathe them and we put them to bed.  Mike and I cut, gut, stencil, and carve all four pumpkins {one is just a disco ball} right before Mike goes to throw up!  And two of the pumpkins were rotted out and disgusting!  At least we can say we did it and they are done.  The boys loved them the next day!

Trunk or Treat

Last night we had Trunk or Treat for YWs.  It was a crazy busy night with Mike sick and me left to figure out {in an hour} how to decorate the Durango and take the boys by myself.  Here is the boys {the best picture we could get} before the Trunk or Treat and the Car decorated.  It was a great night and Gavin and Greyson loved it.  They can't wait to go Trick or Treating tonight!

I Love to See the Temple

On October 20th, my cousin was married in the Bountiful Temple.  It is SUCH a beautiful place.  We got some pictures of us and the boys around the Temple grounds with my iPhone that I loved and thought I would share and save in my 2012 blog book!
