Boys Photo Shoot

On the 26th of April, I took the boys to get updated Birthday photos from Fotofly.  Gavin loved it and had a great time.  Greyson on the other hand had a really rough time and we didn't get much of him or of the boys together.  But we did get some good shots and I am thankful for the pictures I do have!  I love these boys!

Greyson's Birthday

Greyson's Birthday was a lot of fun.  We had some family over and had a Race Cars/Hot Wheels birthday party.  I made cupcakes with cars, stop lights, and Oreos (for spare tires).  We ate a party platter tray from Costco with some fruits and veggies and yummy punch!  It was a great night.  I can't believe my baby is 2!  Where has the time gone?

DoTERRA Boutique

Last Saturday I finally did my own doTERRA booth at a Yard Sale in Eagle Mountain.  Thanks to Brittany and Rachel for helping me out.  I made Healing Salve, an Allergy Blend Salve and Vapor Rub Salve with oils for it as well as Bath Bombs, Lip Balm, and some Clay Necklaces you can wear and put oils on for aromatherapy.  I sold a lot of stuff and we got a lot of interest in the oils, so we will see where we can go from here.  I am excited to start this new adventure and help people see that they can take advantage of their own health care with Essential Oils.  If you want to know more info, or want to try some of the stuff I make, please get in contact with me, or leave a comment!

Updated Family Picture

We got a family picture taken yesterday by a neighbor! I love my little family!

Greyson stats

Here are Greyson's stats from the last Dr. Appt. for his 2 year well child check that was on Tuesday April 30th.

Weight: 24 lbs 15%tile
Length: 84.09 cm 26%tile

He had to get 4 vaccines to be updated :( Sad Day!

Here is what he has been up to lately!

* He is a talker! And he talks so good, in sentences! It is amazing.

* He is gotten off the food wagon and won't even eat Chicken Nuggets anymore! He likes Bananas and Strawberries and fruit snacks and anything sugary and his milk but that us about it! He will eat Sweet and Salty Popcorn and BBQ Goldfish until he is sick  :)

* He is a climber, and likes to move chairs and climb up to where you are to see what you are doing.

* He is doing amazingly well in his new big boy bed!  And he loves that he can climb in himself and get out himself in the morning.

* He likes to watch Phineas and Ferb, Shawn the Sheep and Word World, and really that is all he asks for.  And even when it is on, he isn't watching, just playing with cars.

* A sure fire way into his heart is a Car!  Just bring him a car and he will love you for that minute! :)

* He calls himself Gav and he calls Gavin Greys.  It is quite funny!

* He is still a big time mommas boy when I am around, but have been told that he is quite outgoing when I am not around!

* He is getting the clean hands OCD from his dad and brother and hates it when his hands are dirty or have anything on them.

* He is still on Miralax and the Dr. said to keep on it for 6 months then try again to skip a day and see how he does, if it is still bad, then put him back on it everyday for another 6 months then try again.

* He is in size 4 diapers during the day and size 3 at night (because every time I go to Walmart to get overnight diapers they only have them in size 3), he is in 18 month bottoms and 24/2T tops and in size 5 shoes.

We love this little boy so much!  I always think it is funny when people say they don't know where they would be without something because I always think, you probably would just be making the most of your situation at the time, but when it comes to Greyson, I wouldn't be as happy as we are with him in our family now!

May 3rd

I don't think I have ever blogged about my May 3rd experiences. So, let's get that right out in the open right now, shall we?

My first May 3rd experience was in 2008 when I just a week before found out I was pregnant with our first baby. I woke up that Saturday at 1 am with the worst cramping pain ever and a lot of bleeding. We went to the ER where we were told we were having a miscarriage. Holy punch you in the gut and turn the knife. After that, we were determined to have a baby! That Mother's day was really hard, that I remember my Mother-In-Law telling me that next Mother's day I would be a mom.

Fastforward to May 3rd, 2009. That was a Sunday and we just had a beautiful first baby boy 7 weeks earlier. We blessed Gavin that day. What a great comeback from the year before. I didn't really catch the irony of the day until later, but I remember thinking how thankful I was for that year, that I could learn and grow and validate that day with a better experience and remember that day on a better note!

Now lets travel to October 2010, I am pregnant for the 3rd time and we find out our due date...You guessed it, May 3rd, 2011! How special to have another great experience to celebrate this day with. Greyson wasn't born on May 3rd, but it was still a rememberance of this day and where we started and where we are now.

I am so thankful that I have had the experiences with this day, good and bad. I am glad that they have turned into good experiences and not all bad and that when I think back on this day, I remember the good things instead of dwelling on the bad thing that started this experience of Parenthood we have been on. I love my little guys so much and am so thankful for them. And I am thankful for Mike and the partner he is to me with the boys! Here is to many more GREAT experiences on May 3rd!
