Update

So...I think it is time for an update of my life...All I have posted about lately is my belly & gas prices. So, this month so far as gone by SO FAST!!! I can't believe it is already the 17th of November, it feels like November just started. On the 1st of November I got together with Jessi (a girlfriend from College) & had a girls day with her. She is due the week after me & is having a girl! I am so excited to be sharing this experience with her! We got together & made baby blankets for our little ones that will soon be joining us.

On the 8th of November I got together with Kammi (A long long time family friend...I have know her since I was 5) We went on a Shopping Spree! It was a FUN fun day! So after the rush rush of 2 weekends, I was glad that I just got to relax last weekend because the next 2 weekends will also be rush rush!

This week will be a busy week. I have a Dr. Appt. tomorrow which I am so thankful for because I have been having those Braxton Hicks Contractions, which I hear are normal, but I just don't like them...They are totally uncomfortable! Also, the last couple of days I have been feeling like I am going to pass out, or kill over or something fun like that! So I am super excited to talk to the Dr. about these things tomorrow. On Thursday, Kammi's baby Boy Kahlin is turning 1 so I am going to his Birthday Party...Should be fun...Can't wait. Friday was the Celine Dion concert, but it has been cancelled! That bites! So they have rescheduled it for February 22nd, 2009, which is a Sunday, so we have a dilemma on our hands. Saturday, a bunch of us are planning on going to the Twilight movie...Can't wait for that! & Sunday is Preslie's baby Blessing day!

And next week is Thanksgiving at Black Friday...These next two weeks are going to so by so fast! I can't wait to start Christmas decorating!

Can't believe it!

I pulled up to the Sinclair in Orem this morning because I had 15 minutes before I had to be at work, & I needed a fill up & this is what I saw!

I couldn't believe it. So I paid $1.89 per gallon because with my Sinclair card I get $.10 off the gallon! I only paid $20 to fill up my car today! That is reason to celebrate! Bring on the shopping!

I Think I Figured it Out!

So, this morning in the shower, I think I figured out how I will tell my office what I am having. I always get my good ideas in the morning while I am showering...it is random, weird & awesome all at the same time! So I wanted to incorporate Halloween into it somehow, so I decided I would wait until Halloween to tell everyone what I am having with my costume. I hadn't decided what I was going to do for Halloween yet, so this will be perfect. So, I will be an "Announcement" for Halloween, & announce what we are having. If it is a boy, I will wear blue & get blue balloons & tie them around me with a sign that says "It's a boy" & vice versa if it is Girl. I don't think the girls in the office will know what to do with themselves, especially if they have to wait that long to find out. So stay tuned...I will post a picture of my "Halloween Costume" & let you know what I am having on Halloween! Check back then!

Time

It is almost time...for our ultrasound. I go in tomorrow at 2:30pm to see how our baby is growing & to finally find out what we are having...so stay tuned, I will blog as soon as I find out & tell Mike (he is the first to know besides me & the Ultrasound Tech, because after all, he is the father) I can't wait, & if you haven't voted, you only have a couple hours left to get that vote in, then check back in the next couple of days to find out what we are having.

IDEAS!

Okay...I need some Ideas! In 13 days I find out what we are going to have...a boy, or a girl! We find out at 3:30pm (well, that is when the appt. is) So I am leaving work early & won't be back until the 29th. At my place of work, we are all really creative (well I try to be) so I need to find a creative way to tell everyone what we are going to have. I have thought about a banner or sign to put on my Work door, but someone suggested that I have a cake or cupcakes with pink or blue frosting or saying "It's a girl" or "It's a boy." I don't really know what to do. I have just under 2 weeks to figure it out, so if you have done something like this before, or have an idea, please let me know! I will let you know what I decide to do! Thanks for your help!

GRADUATION

I just wanted to let everyone know I just spoke with Mike. He passed his "Battleship" Test they had last night so he is officially Graduating Tomorrow. He does stay at Basic until the 15th when they will either fly him home until the 24th because his California Training dosen't start until the 25th, or fly him to California & he will have to wait it out there until Training starts. Lets all pray that they send him home for the 10 days! Mike did order "graduation" pictures, so as soon as I get those, I will post them. Thanks everyone for all your support these last 2 months in getting us through this. All your prayers for Mike really helped him through this process! We love you all & can't wait to start this new journey in our lives!

Birthday Weekend Review

So, as you all know my birthday was last week. It was a great Birthday followed by a great Birthday Weekend. I am not a firm believer in extending ones birthday...maybe in March 2010 when my little one turns 1 we will be, but for now, I am not. But this birthday was different. I don't know if it was because Mike wasn't here & I don't really have any family here that everyone really rallied around me & made it awesome, or what...so lets recap...shall we?

Thursday was the actual day of my Birthday. I got the day off - Thankfully - after I worked my butt off Wednesday to make sure all my work was done so I could have Thursday off. The beginning of the Month is not a great time to take off at my work...there is always a lot to do! But I got all my work done & got the day off. I slept in as much as I could through all the phone calls & text messages coming in through my cell at all hours of the early morning. I got up aroung 8am & since my car was due last month for it's emissions & inspection I ran down to the Jiffy Lube in Saratoga Springs. At 8 in the morning they already had a hour & a half wait to get my car in. I couldn't believe it. So I ran to Smith's & grabbed some breakfast & drove home to hang out. I did some stuff around the house & about 10am the Internet guy came out to fix my Internet connection. After that I drove back to the Jiffy Lube after calling them & they said they didn't have a wait. They did...another hour wait. So I drove to Draper to find a place down there to see my car. I found one in Riverton that got my car right in & out! It was nice. After that I went grocery shopping for this week & then got Blimpie for Lunch, drove home & ate lunch with Bear. After I ate Lunch, I fell asleep on the couch for a while - I just love being Pregnant - Got some flowers from my Brother-in-law & his wife & family & then watched the Vice Presidental Debate. It was a great day!

Friday I came back to work - I had a lot to do! After work, I drove to Draper to spend the weekend with my Girlfriend Kammi & her family. I have know Kammi since I was 5 so about 20+ years. We eat Wingers for Dinner & watched some movies, then went to bed.

Saturday we woke up & watched the first session of Conference then got ready for the day. We headed off to a Sentsy party & bought some fun stuff there. Then went to get our nails done. What a fun day - Thanks Kammi for hanging out with me. After the Preisthood session of Conference I met my Brother & his girlfriend/fiancée for dinner at La Frontera (my all time favorite resturant!)

Sunday I watched the Morning Conference session at home then headed up to my Sister-in-law's house for a birthday party/Conference watching party. We had a great time. We ate dinner, opened presents & ate icecream & Brownies for My Mother-in-law's birthday, my birthday & my Brother-in-laws birthday - all in the same week or so!

It was a great Birthday weekend & I just want to say thank you to everyone who gave my birthday wishes or spent some of the weekend with me! Thanks for all you do for me!

Dr. Appts.

I went to the Dr. yesterday for my 16 week checkup...I can't believe I am already 16 weeks. Everything went great. I heard the baby's heartbeat again, which is always a great relief! Also, I scheduled my ultrasound for the 28th of October...I will be 20 weeks then...& I will find out the sex of the baby. If you haven't already voted on our poll of what we will be having...please vote before then...that is when the poll ends, is on the 28th of Oct. I will then let you know what we are expecting to have! I can't wait! Stay tuned!

Mike Update

So...I talked to Mike last week. He is super excited & happy because his official Graduation Date is the 10th of October. I won't be able to make it because I have to work & couldn't get it off... but we have an awesome family who will be going as well as Mike's Aunt Kathy & Uncle Fred might be able to make it...They live in IL, so it wouldn't be that far for them to go. Thanks Kathy, Fred & Chuck & Lori! We love you all so much & thanks for taking this time out of your busy lives to support us & encourage us! After he graduates he will take off to California on the 15th of October for his Technical Training. He is super excited for that because he will be able to call whenever instead of when they give him a call. Anywho...Just wanted to thank everyone who has supported us through these last 2 months of Basic Training & those who will support us through the next 4 months of Training. WAY TO GO MIKE!

News from Illinois

So, I heard from Mike yesterday. He is still in Basic Training in Great Lakes, IL. He sounded so much better than the conversation we had 2 weeks ago. He is still not really liking it but said it is getting better. Hey...they are letting him call now, that is a good sign. He is sick with Pink Eye & a Cold, but is doing much better then the first week he got there. He still misses home & wishes he could be here to see his new Neice & experience all the pregnancy stuff (it is not that fun...trust me) but he knows he is in the right place & he is bettering our family. Please still send your prayers & good vibes his way because he still has 6 weeks left & can use them to get through this. Until next time...hope all is well!

WOW!

Okay...It is totally time to blog...because it has been weeks since my last blog! A lot has happened. I still haven't finished Breaking Dawn... I know, I know...I have been SLACKING! I have not been feeling so hot & with Mike leaving it has been just crazy!

Lets start with our bathroom flooding a couple weeks ago, that was fun. We got it all cleaned up. Next we had a "Goodbye & Goodluck" going away party for Mike - A lot of you don't know, but he did decide to join the Navy, so he left on the 19th of August to start his Basic Training experience in Great Lakes, IL. So for the last week and a half or so, I have been by myself, with Bear. Fun times.

Last weekend we tried to have a Baby shower for my Sister-in-law, I say tried because about 2 hours before the shower was supposted to start, I got a text message from her stating she was a Timp. Hospital in Pre-Term labor! Not fun. So we sat all day trying to figure out if we would have a new addition to the family, or if they could get her to stop contracting & send her home on Bed Rest! They stopped the contractions, as best they could & sent her home. They did an ultrasound & everything looked good with baby, so we are still waiting for our new baby girl to decide when to join the family. Saturday night we decided to drive up to Heber to be with Michelle & have the baby shower for her there. When I went out to my car to drive up there, I had a flat tire. Are you for real? So I ran over to Bro. Feldt's house (we prefer to call him the snake charmer...long story for another day) & asked for help. I am a 25 year old...lady...who has never changed a tire in my life. I probably could, but didn't want to. After much debate & hassel, Bob (Bro. Feldt aka snake charmer) let me borrower one of there cars to drive up there. Thank you so much! I have the BEST neighbors!

Sunday was a lazy day, Bob fixed my tire - Thanks again - You are AWESOME, & hung out with my brother & his girlfriend - Sarah.

This week hasn't been so great either. I heard from Mike on Wednesday, he is not having a good time in Basic, he is really home sick & not liking it, so please send all your good vibes & prayers his way, because he sure can use them. I had a flood in the other bathroom yesterday, I think after I threw up (don't get me started) the toliet decided it wouldn't flush...I was not aware of this. So I left for work & when I came home, it was flooded. I cleaned it up with towels...Yes, I know & then asked my neighbors for some fans to fan out the carpet. I hope I got it all & I won't have mold start growing in my house! My mom was here last night, she was so kind to spend the night with me, since I am by myself...I love her! She is driving to BYU Idaho today to pick up my sister at College, she is done for the semester & doesn't go back until Winter semester in January. Then they are off to Montana to help my grandma paint the bunk house. They will be back through on Tuesday night. Can't wait to see them.

Other than that...hopefully next week I can spill my secret for all the blogging world to know. I can't wait! Until then...

Update

So I have been totally slacking on my blogging, but nothing fun has happened. On Sunday, our Water Heater went out & flooded our basement (not that bad) but it still STUNK to high heaven! I was without hot water from 12pm Sunday to 12pm Monday, that means no hot water for a Shower yesterday before work! I know, I stunk! Other than that, we are just plugging along. Working & living as best as we can. August looks to be a very busy month, we will keep you updated as that goes!

Oh & I a reading Breaking Dawn (much to Mike's dismay) & I am not even close to being done with it like others. I don't know what that means, maybe I have a life & they don't or I am just not as fast a reader as everyone else, I don't know. I am almost to page 300 but I am loving it so far! Have you finished it yet? Let me know!

Farnsworth Family Reunion

This weekend, we went to Alimony, UT (In central Utah, middle of nowhere) for the Farnsworth Family reunion (My Dad's, dad's family reunion - My Grandpa!)

We got off work early on Friday & drove the 2 & 1/2 hours to get there. We got there about 6:45pm & when we got there it was time for dindin. We said hi to family & ate. After dinner, I had to go out to my parents car to learn the song my Grandma wanted us to sing - Grandma Can I Take Something Home! I learned it in about 20 minutes & Wendy (my sissy) & I decided we could sing it together - A Capella. We did pretty good. We had a little program that night with us singing & my aunts reading poems & some games with prizes...All in all, it was a great night.

Wendy & I singing!

After dinner, the program & pictures were taken Jason (My little brother) & I went to bed, we were both really exhausted! Everyone else went to watch a movie or play pool.

Saturday was a jam packed day. We woke up, ate breakfast then went off to Bow & arrow shooting. That was fun. After Lunch we went horseback riding & Tubing. After that, they had a rodeo that my brother Ben participated in. It was fun to watch. They also had a Line Dancing Class. After that was dinner. After dinner, they had a live band & everyone got up to dance. It was fun.

Me on the Horse

Mike on the Horse

Wendy & Jason Line Dancing

My Grandma Dancing with Will - An employee who hit on ALL the Women!

After the band was done, we went upstairs to watch a movie that my brother brought with him. During the movie, there was a Bat that had flown into the room through an open Door. My cousin hit him with a couch cushion into the wall, then Ben picked him up with Magazines & took him outside. It was kind of a tramatic experience. Wendy & I were screaming! It was kinda funny though. About half was through the movie, Wendy & I decided we were tired, so we went to bed.

Sunday we woke up, ate breakfast & packed up to leave. We had to be out of there at 10am. We drove home, picked up Bear & had a nice relaxing day at home. Jason came home with us for the day because My momma & daddy are taking Wendy to Idaho for College. So he wanted to spent sometime with us instead of going up with them & being bored! It was a great weekend. Thanks Grandma Farnsworth for putting this on for us & giving us a weekend we will treasure forever!

We have some NEWS in the next coming weeks that we found out this weekend as well, we just want to make sure everything pans out before we tell everyone, so keep your fingers crossed for us that it will work out for the best for us!

And remember, I still need some ideas for a Baby shower, if you have any games, please let me know!

Weekend Recap

Well, it is time to blog! I am bored @ work with nothing else to do, so I will update you on my weekend. Shall we start?

Friday night Mike & I enjoyed a nice night indoors, cleaning & preparing for our weekend.

Saturday Mike had to work, so I had a "Girls day" with Jessi. We went to La Villa Salon for Glitter Toes & then to El Pollo Loco for some Lunch. El Pollo Loco it pretty good, if you haven't tried it, I recommend it. It is located in American Fork across the street from the Walmart in the same parking lot as Costco & Lowes. (Wow, look at me, I sound like a commercial) After lunch, we went to Costco to shop. After shopping, I meet up with Mike for his lunch break. I went home, put away groceries & then fell asleep on the couch, it was a long day, I was tired! Saturday night we just enjoyed ourselved again with relaxing!

Sunday we went to Church, had Ben over for dinner & then went to bed. What a fun weekend.

This weekend, we are going to Cedar City area for the Farnsworth Family reunion, so I will have more to talk about next week. Also, Jessi & I made blankets for my Sister-in-law & her baby she will have in Sept. I will take pictures of them & post them sometime. How was your weekend?

Also, don't forget we are having a Baby Shower for my Sister-in-law & I am incharge of the Games & prizes...I NEED IDEAS, if you have any, please let me know.

I am helping my Brother-In-Law's wife throw our Sister-In-Law a baby shower! YAY...I am figuring (but not for positive at this moment) that I will be doing the baby shower games & prizes. I haven't hosted a baby shower in 3 years! I have been to a couple since then, but I am the type that HATES baby showers & the dumb games that they play there, I need some help thinking "outside the box" when it come to baby shower games. If you have hosted a baby shower & you played an unusual baby shower game, or have been to a baby shower where you played an unusual game, let me know. I don't want to do the usual baby shower games...i.e. "Don't say baby". Let me know what you got! Thanks for your help!

ARG...Things that made my day!

It is time to do this again...I had one of those days! You know how everyone hates Mondays? i.e. You have a case of the Mondays...Manic Monday...well, I HATE Tuesdays. The commute for me is always worse on Tuesday, it is always more busy on Tuesdays... i.e. Tuesdays reports are due, up front collections are due etc... So I hate Tuesdays & today has been one of these said Tuesdays, so I need to remember the things that made my day today...ready, here we go!

Payday is Thursday.

A mistake I made 2 months ago, which was caught today, didn't really ever progress all the way, there was some divine intervention in that!

Laughing & joking with Jody...We always have a great time!

Talking to the new girl @ work for a half hour & getting to know her better.

The possibility of be being an Employee of the Month in the near future!

Knowing that we could still get preggers in the near future (I am trying to be positive - is it working?)

Bear greeting me so happily when I got home from work today & wanting to LOVE me!

Wow, alot happened today that made my day...things are starting to look up!

Let me know what made your day today!

4th of July Activities!

I had so much fun this 4th of July...I didn't think it would be possible hanging out with my in laws without my husband (Mike had to work), But we had a lot of fun.

We started the day out at 10am in Orem getting Subway Sandwiches they started up Provo Canyon to Sundance. We all goined at Sundance & drove up the Alpine & started our hike there up to Stewart Falls. It is a 1&1/2 mile hike each way. It was hard at times but once we got there it was BEAUTIFUL! Here are some pix.

We are almost there

So BEAUTIFUL

This is my Niece Alisha walking through the water to get to my Mother-in-law & I sitting on a bench!

After the falls, we hiked back down to Sundance & ate Lunch (hence the Subway Sandwiches) then drove back to up Alpine up to the Alpine Loop...It was also BEAUTIFUL up there...Here are more pix.

After that Chuck (my Brother-in-law) found out that he had a crack in a hose or something like that with his car (I am TOTALLY not a car person) So Mary (Mother-in-law) & I decided we would follow him to South Jordan (where they live) to make sure they got there okay. They had a Concert (Miley Cyrus) to get to! About half way there, they called & said they would make it okay, so we turned around & headed back up the canyon to get my car.

I got home about 7:30pm, took a shower (because we were DIRTY from the hike) & relaxed until Mike got home. When Mike got home we did some fireworks & then I ended up going to bed, because it had been a long, exhausting day for me.

Thanks to Mary, Chuck, Lori, Alisha, Shantel, Austin & Ricky Martin & family for making this 4th of July a great day for me & for all of us. I love you!

White Water Rafting

Where do I begin? Lets see, lets start with a couple weekends ago...this will be a long post!

Friday Night (the 20th) My sisters finally got here...we stayed up for a while & chatted it up until we went to bed.

Saturday morning, Mike had to work, Cathy went to hang out with some friends, so Wendy & I shopped & hung out for the day. Saturday night, we went to Springville to pick up Jason so that he could hang out with us. What a fun weekend...Hangin out with my family!

Sunday we went to Church & then had My parents & Grandma over for dindin...What a great day! I miss my family!

Monday I had to go to work, & when I got off work, we discovered a problem with my car...the Wheel barring had gone out on it which meant that I couldn't drive it to Jackson Hole! BUMMER! Good thing Cathy stayed behind to go with me. We packed up the car Monday night in preparation for the drive Tuesday morning (early).

The is a pix of Lunch Counter (the BIG waves this year)

Now comes the fun stuff...Tuesday we left the house about 6am & drove up to the East Table campground along the Snake River (in between Hoback & Alpine) We stopped at the Big Kahuna & Lunch Counter pull out to watch our boat go through the rapids...it was great. Tuesday afternoon we (Cathy & I) were on our first run of the week. Those Lunch Counter waves are bigger when you are going through them in the boat, as opposed to looking at them from the rocks! What a difference.

Wednesday was more river running & going to Granite Falls & Jackson Hole. It isn't letting me upload pictures, so I will try again later.

It is so beautiful up there!

Thursday is when it really gets good. The boys (Mike, Ben, Tyler & Sarah - she can be a boy, right?) Arrived the night before so it was there first run. The first run of the day was great, but we missed Lunch Counter a little to the left...oh well, we always have the afternoon run, right? The afternoon run, we were all nervous, well at least I was! We got into Lunch Counter & we hit it PERFECT, but by the end of the rapids, there wasn't anyone left in the boat! It had kicked us all out! So to my near death experience. The 3-4 Wave got us & knocked me out first. As soon as I was in the water things kept bumping into me whether it was someone or a paddle, but I was running into things. All I kept thinking about in the water was the last thing my mom said to my dad before we left "I have 4 kids on that boat." I didn't think I would ever take a breath of air again. I finally came up & was away from the boat, choking on the air because I was just "breathing water." I saw my dad & yelled for him. I lost my contacts, bandanna & paddle & was trying to remember what we tell the "newbies" to do when they fall out! They had EMT's sitting on the rocks that were throwing ropes, but they didn't throw them far enough for my dad or I to catch them, so we still just floating in the water, trying to be rescued! I started swimming to the other boat that was with us & they finally got me. As soon as I was on there boat they said "Alicia, you have a big knot on your head" that is when it started to hurt! They got my dad & our boat finally got up to them & we headed down the river the rest of the way...This story isn't over...there is more!

The is the bump on my head after we had were back to camp

After we got back in the boat, we were all EXHAUSTED! We still had 3 rapids left before we were done! We went through Champagne fine, then Cottonwoods alright (we were still a little shaken up) Then the McNasty (that is what I call it) It has a bad back curl, not fun. We really were not paying attention to my dad guiding & calling out orders, so we hit it & knocked Sarah & Cathy out & Wendy was halfway out/in. I was ready to get off the ride then! Needless to say we were all really scared after that & took the rest of the week slowly!

I couldn't go on any other runs because I lost my contacts & couldn't see, but all in all it was a really entertaining week. We laughed, we cried & we got out butts kicked! We got home Saturday night & had a lot of Laundry & cleaning to do, but what a great vacation...I will try to upload photos later...if it will let me. Let me know what you think of my near death experience!

Bear slept all the way home...he was tired!

Wendy & Jason, if you read this, leave me a comment! Love you!

This is my bump on Saturday evening after we had gotten home & showered.

BORING Weekend Update

This is be an EXTREMELY BORING weekend update...because we didn't do ANYTHING!

Friday I got off work early, so I went home & we watched about 10 episodes of Army Wives (Love that show!!) Then we went to bed.

Saturday morning we got up & cleaned the house, went to Walmart for some groceries & to finish off Father's Day shopping. Then I went home & Mike went to work.

Sunday I got up early & made Breakfast for Mike for Father's day. We then went to church & Mike had to leave early because he had to go to work...of coarse. After Church I took a much needed Nap...I was invited to go with Mike's family to there "Father's Day" celebration up at Provo Canyon...but decided against it because Ben was coming over for dinner. Ben came over for dinner & we hung out for a while. As soon as Mike came home, I was tired & ready for bed. That was our EXTREMELY BORING weekend.

This weekend will be a good one. My family is coming into town...& we are going to Jackson Hole next week to do some White Water Rafting on the Snake River...It is a family tradition & we go every year...I can't wait!

Picked on

Okay. I am feeling a little picked on. This has not been the best year for Mike & I & lets just say that the last 24 hours have been HELL for us. We have had several members of our family & some friends pass away this year as well as the loss of a baby. For the last month, we have been trying to put it all together, it had been 2 deaths & a miscarriage. Then we had another death at the end of May. What a year!

Mike & I haven't really been on the same page since the miscarriage & we have slowly been "crumbling" I guess you can say. Don't get me wrong, we are still really close & still love each other more then the day we got married, or met, but we have been going down our own "paths" & dealing with things by ourselves & not together when the time deems worthy. Lets just say that we had a break down of Communication yesterday about some "choices" he has made recently that I have either asked him to wait on or not to do at all. We finally talked about everything that we have been dealing with the last month or so & worked on it together. By the time we were "over ourselves" & communicating finally.

In the middle of all this Bear has been getting worse. If you remember, or haven't read that far back in the blog, Bear has Kidney failure since March, but had been dealing with it EXTREMELY well. He held his bladder all day & all night, until this weekend. He has been having to go outside about every hour & he had 3 accidents on the bed yesterday & last night. I didn't get to sleep until about midnight & Bear woke me up at 4:30am because he peed in the bed. I couldn't get back to sleep last night. I just don't know if Bear will make it very much further.

Anyway, I just needed to vent about my life this last year, it has not really turned out how we planned, but does it ever?

Diet

So I am "trying" a new diet that I have made up I guess you can say by myself. I know what you are thinking...Alicia, you are like 95 lbs. soaking wet, what do you need a diet for? Well, I will tell you. I have a flubber belly, the last month I have just not cared, I have had some "drama" in my life & have really just stop taking care of myself, so I am back & ready to get back to where I was before my "crisis." I have decided I am great with my 122 lbs, I love been over 120, so it is not my "weight" I am worried about, it is my little belly I have sticking out. Here is my new diet...let me know what you think.

I drink a Carnation Instant Breakfast for Breakfast

I drink a Slim-Fast for Lunch

Eat Dinner - Whatever we are having - Mexican, Italian, leftovers
Play DDR for an hour after work - What a workout
Take a walk with Mike & Bear in the evening
20-50 Sit-ups everynight

What do you think, Will I get rid of my flubby belly, or am I just CRAZY...Tell me about your crazy diet stories...I have a few, but they are all "to gain weight" diet stories...I will have to share those later!

Another Weekend Update

Word up homies...Back to blogging again. Lets jump into this week & weekend, shall we?

Mike has decided to join the Navy, I know, I know. So Thursday night he spent the night in Salt Lake to take the ASVAB test & Physical for them. There was a bit of a snag, so it didn't happen, he is hoping to join in July & then be shipped off in August to Chicago for Basic training. I will keep you updated on this as it progresses.

Friday night we went to a Viewing for my Brother-In-Law wives youngest brother, he was 27, 2 months younger than Mike. He passes away on May 29th in a rollover car accident in Colorado. What a sad day. After the Viewing, we went to dinner with Kevin, Kammi & Kahlin. What a sobering night, from death to friends, family, laughter & fun. Our lives can change so dramatically in just a couple of minutes. Thanks Kammi & Kev for the great uplift, we sure needed it.

Saturday Mike had to work, so I went to the Steven's funeral with Mike's Mom, sister & her family. It was kinda a crappy, cold day. It was a Great funeral (I never thought I would say that, but they really honored him & told his story well) I have been on a seatbelt kick now though because of it. If Steven would have been wearing his seatbelt, he might still be here with us today, with his 2 young children. What a meaningful yet sad day! Saturday night, Mike & I hung out at home with Ben & Sarah. Thanks guys for coming out & hanging with us.

Sunday was just normal, early church & Dinner with Ben, but Sarah didn't come with him because her Sister was having a Baby Boy...Congrats Sarah - You will be a great Aunt! We love you, hope to see you next week.

Let me know your thoughts on the Navy, or Seatbelt wearing, or funerals, or babies, whatever you feel like, I want to know. Let me hear from you!

SLACKER

Yes, so I have been a blogging slacker...I know, I know! I have 2 weekend updates that I need to do & a busy life to get back to. Lets start with the Last weekend in May update.

Friday night Mike & I had a date night & went to see SATC. Now if you have a fan of the show, you will LOVE the movie, but Mike didn't like it. I LOVED IT! I loved it so much that I bought the soundtrack. Great movie.

Saturday I had a girls day with Jessi - We went to La Villa Salon to get glitter toes. (I will post a picture when I get home) Love them. We then went to Chadders in American Fork. People say it is a "In-And-Out Burger" type place. It is good food. We then went to Walmart to get fabric to make Baby Blankets, because we both have TONS of babys coming this year. After our "girls day out," Mike & I went grocery shopping & had a nice relaxing evening inside.

Sunday is just the same old, same old Sunday. Church in the morning, & Dinner with Ben & Sarah in the afternoon. We had a great weekend. Let me know if you saw SATC the movie & what you though about it! It will post in another minute or so this weekends update.

Memorial Day Weekend Update

Our Memorial Day Weekend was not anything to write home about (as my mom would say) ha! Friday night Mike & I just chilled at home.

Saturday Mike had to work, so I cleaned the house & got stuff ready for my family to come over. Mike got home about 5:30pm & we drove to my Grandma's house in Springville to visit with her & my family that came up to visit (My momma & brother Jason) I talked Jason to come stay with me because Mike had to work Sunday & Monday & I would be by myself. He did.

Sunday we went to church & Jason helped me with our Nursery Kids. My mom & other brother came over for dindin & we just chilled together & chatted.

Monday was a very rainy Memorial Day. We drove to my Grandma's house & had lunch with some other family (Aunts, Uncles & Cousins) & sat & enjoyed a nice relaxing day. I was great to see my mom & brother & also my other extended family as well as my Grandma. I can't wait to see my whole family next month for Jackson Hole!

This weekend will be a good one filled with a Movie & Girls day out! I can't wait!

Just another Weekend Update!

I hate blogging at work because my Pictures are not here, but it is honestly the only time I get on the computer & have time to blog! Having said that, I promise to get pictures on the blog sometime this week. Lets jump right into it.

I always wonder why I only do weekend updates, but then I realize that my weeks consist of going to work, then driving home & making dinner & watching something funny (or not so funny) on TV, then going to bed & starting it all over again. Weekends are the only time I do anything fun or worth blogging about!

Friday night we just hung out at home and cleaned the house for the many house guests we had this weekend. We kinda got to bed late and had an early morning on Saturday. Ben (my brother) woke us up at 7:45am Saturday because he wanted to pay us for the 4-wheeler & take it out riding with a friend. We took care of him & got him on this way, got ready for the day & headed out to Sandy to meet with Mike's brother regarding some financial ?s we had as well as refinancing & mortgage ?s. We then went to Barnes & Noble to get the rest of the "Twilight" series for me to continue reading. After that we drove back to American Fork where Mike is now trying to persuade me to let him buy me a scooter. He bought a Motorcycle 2 weeks ago (which he still needs to blog about) so he thinks I need a scooter. I rode a couple of them & liked a few, but we didn't purchase one. After that, we spent some money at Home Depot on flowers & other things for our yard, then over to Walmart to go Grocery Shopping & then home to do some yard work. It was a hot day Saturday & we got sun burnt, not a very good idea. But we got a section of our yard done. YAY!!!

Sunday we went to church at 9am - still loving the 9am church - & then had family over the rest of the day. It was great to see Michelle & Kurt & my cute nephews at our house. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did. Thanks guys, we will need to do it again sometime. My brother also came over & we had a great time!

Back to Saturday & the scooter "issue." Give me your opinions & suggestions on a scooter. I want to know what you think about it...would you get one?

Normal Weekend Update Blog

Hey all...It has been one of these weeks, you know, full of suprizes & busyness. Anywho, here is our Normal Weekend Update Blog! I will upload pix when I get home because I have some cute pictures of my nephews playing Guitar Hero!
This is Kyler trying to play

This is Jaden not really knowing what to do!

Friday Mike had booked an appointment for me to get a Manicure & Pedicure at my favorite salon, La Villa, because it had been one of those weeks last week. That was amazing, it felt so good, I love getting Pedicures & they always compliment my feet...It is always good to get compliments. I also got to watch the Jazz game while getting pampered! I LOVE SPORTS, if you didn't know that about me & I Love the Jazz, so all in all it was a pretty good day! After the Mani & Pedi we went to Dinner at Wingers in Lehi & finished watching the Jazz game. They WON, if you didn't already know. After dinner, we drove up to Draper to meet my brother to exchange some things he needed from us & we needed from him. We finally made it home about 11pm & fell asleep right away.

Saturday Mike had to work early (6am) & I didn't sleep much after he left, so I got up & cleaned the house & got our grocery list ready. I took Bear in for his grooming appointment at 10am & went shopping with Mike for Groceries. I took a nap that day & it was a very relaxing day.

Sunday we finally started church at 9pm! YAY!!! It was Mother's day, so it was extra special. We are in the Nursery & they were extra "tired" or something. They didn't want to do anything but play with toys. But we made it through. After church we drove up to Heber to spend Mother's day with Mike's family. It was a nice day filled with family, laughter & love. Thanks Michelle for opening up your house to us & making the day extra special for all of us. We love you!

Lets skip to today. This morning I had to go to the Dr. again to get another blood test done because I still have an HCG level. I will find out the results of that test tomorrow. Lets hope it is good news. Well until our next post, hope all is well with you all out there!

Weekend Update

This weekend was a stressful one. Friday night Mike & I had a nice relaxing evening at home while I slept (I was tired) & he watched movies. We went to bed about 10 pm because Mike had to work at 6am on Saturday. It was an eventful night. I woke up about 1am with the worst cramps I have ever felt before. We went to the ER to find out what was wrong with me & they said that I was pregnant & about 6 weeks along, but something wasn't right with it, my body wasn't accepting it. After an emotional Saturday, I finally came to terms with my body, lost baby & Heavenly Father. I am still hurting emotionally about it, but I am at peace with what happened & know that it happened for a reason & there was nothing I could do about it, I need to stop blaming myself for it.

Saturday was also just an emotional yet relaxing day. Home Depot was very kind to give Mike the day off to be with me & I had a Priesthood Blessing which helped a lot. It seemed the more we spoke to people about it, the more we found it happened to more people then just us. Miscarriage happens to 1 in 4 pregnancies. So needless to say I don't feel so picked on. Also I have had several people with kind words or testimonies I have talked to the last couple of days that have just made me want to go on with life & move on & forward, I want to thank them for everything. Literally you have been my pillar of light the last couple days! I love you all!

This was the bruse the nurse left me with after drawing my blood!

Sunday I only made it to Sacrament meeting because I was having a hard time emotionally & with cramping & things like that, but there was a peace there that spoke to me, I just know it will be okay.

Yesterday we had a Dr. Appt. to verify that the baby has passed through me. We had to do blood work again & the nurse lets just say didn't do a very good job, she poked me 4 times before she got blood. The test doesn't come back until tomorrow & I can't wait any longer, I just want to get this weekend past me & move on with the next chapter in my life. I will let you know when the test comes back how everything is.

If you have gone through something like this or know someone who has or even if you have a kind word or thought about it, please let me know...I could use all the prayer or thoughts anyone is offering.

P.S. Mike has an exciting Blog I am going to make him post tonight, we do have some good news!

Weekend

Ok...So I know it is Thursday & the weekend is about to start soon, but I haven't updated last weekend yet. What a stressful & fun filled weekend we had! And I finally feel up to blogging about it, I haven't been feeling so well this week...read on & you will find out why?!?!?!

Lets start with Thursday, shall we? Thursday night, Mike & I went out to dinner with some old friends of mine, at least, but we are all friends. We went out with Kammi, Kevin & there 5 month old baby Kahlin. What a cute kid! We went to La Frontera (my favorite resturant) & then went to WalMart to buy Icecream & went back to Kammi & Kev's house to eat dessert! It was an extremely fun night, one that we vowed to do again. It was good to catch up with them. We all get along so well, I can't believe we didn't do it sooner.

Friday night Mike & I went to WalMart again because I needed to buy some gifts for a baby shower that I attended on Saturday (I will talk about this next) We also had some CDs made of all the pictures we took while in AZ to give to Mike's family, so that everyone could have a bunch of pictures from the Funeral & family events that took place.

Saturday Mike had to work & I went to his cousins baby shower. It was a fun day, filled with games & cute gifts. Felisha (Mike's cousin) is having a baby boy in July (her first boy, 3rd baby) We are so excited for her! Saturday night was just us relaxing & enjoying the quiet that Eagle Mountain has to offer.

Sunday we had another late church (that is supposted to be changing on Mother's Day, but we will see if it really happens) & then ate dindin & relaxed.

Monday I woke & at 4:30am & was more sick than a dog throwing up. I couldn't keep anything down & only worked a 6 hour shift at work because I kept running to the bathroom all day & not getting any work done. We figured it was a flu bug because since then, I have heard from SEVERAL people that they had the same thing about that same day, Crazy, I know, but I am feeling much better now.

Well, that was our crazy weekend, it doesn't seem that stressful or busy reading it, but it was when we were in the moment. Hope you have a great rest of the week & catch you next time!

Finally Home

By now, most of you have already guessed it & Grandma Lorie passed away last Friday night peacefully, surrounded by her family. They did decided to take her off life support & she passed away about 1/2 hour after they took her off.

Saturday, Mike had to work, so I hung out with my good friend Jessi - We try to do lunch together once a month & catch up with each other. We found out Saturday that the Funeral would be Tuesday (Yesterday), so we scrambled to find plane tickets & a place for Bear. We found plane tickets finally about 5 pm Saturday for Sunday morning early to Phoenix & a flight back really early for this morning. We booked them & got a pretty good deal. Mike & I both had 3 day bereavement leave, so this flight schedule worked out great.

We did fly out early Sunday morning to Beautiful Phoenix, AZ -
What a beautiful day there. We didn't get very much sleep Saturday night & had to be at the Airport at 7am for our flight. We hung out with family on Sunday & did everything we could do to help with Funeral arrangements.

Monday was much the same, we didn't get very much sleep Sunday night, but we did a lot to help with the Funeral arrangements. I did get sun burnt that day, which is kinda nice, because I feel like we haven't seen the sun this year.

Tuesday was the Funeral. Grandma was Lutheran, so that was an interesting Funeral to go to. They didn't even mention anything in the service about Grandma & her life & what she did, it was basically a Worship Service. All I could think about the whole service was, I can't wait until next Testimony meeting, to bear my testimony of the Gospel. That a humbling experience. It was an emotional day for all. We went to the grave site & place flowers by Grandma Lorie & also Grandma & Grandpa O (Grandma Lorie's parents) & Grandma & Grandpa Wallenberg's graves. It was a peaceful day. After that, Grandpa Vince wanted to get pictures of the family in their Sunday best.

It was a nice day. I met all of Mike's cousins & Aunts & Uncles. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world, even though the reason we got together wasn't the best of circumstances, it was still a humbling experience.

Today, our flight was bright & early in the morning. We had to be at the Airport by 4:30am. We didn't get much sleep at all this trip, so it has been a relaxing, quiet, & nap taking day. I hope Mike & I are ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Thank you all for your prayers for the family. We really felt them & are extremely grateful for all the love & support that has been shown to our family in this time of need!

Grandma Wallenberg

Mike's Grandma, Lorabell Wallenberg, is not doing to well. When we were in Arizona last month, she looked alright, but was in a lot of pain. We got a phone call last night during American Idol from Mike's Dad saying that Grandma Lorie went to the Hospital on Tuesday the 15th complaining of back pains. She went into surgery & flat lined on the table. They got her back after a while, but she has been unresponsive since. Please keep Grandma Lori & our family in your prayers at this time! Thanks & Love you all!

UPDATE...

Mike just heard from his dad & they are going to take Grandma off Life Support today after all her children are there & can say goodbye. Please again continue to pray for our family at this difficult time! Thanks for your support!

Another UPDATE...

The Family has decided to run more blood tests & then make there decision based on the tests whether or not they will take Grandma off Life Support. They spoke with another Nuro Specialist regarding her brain damage, so I will keep you updated on what is decided!

Kyler's Birthday Party & Weekend Update

Alrighty then...It has been a CRAZY BUSY weekend & Monday we have had in our Family. Friday night Mike had to work late (until 11pm) so I just relaxed & enjoyed the house to myself with Bear (which I do a lot of lately) & baked! (I made Banana Bread YUM!)

Saturday Mike had to be at work at 6am, so I got up about 8am & cleaned the house & got ready to meet Mike at 10am for his lunch break. We went shopping & did the usually Saturday "lunch" routine. Saturday night we went up to Mike's Sister's house in Timberlakes (Heber) & had a Birthday Party for our Nephew who just turned 6. I can't believe he is already 6, when I met him for the first time, he was 2! I can't believe how fast they grow up. Here are some pix from the party:

It was a fun time & good to catch up with the family because we haven't gotten together with them since Jaden's birthday party last December! Crazy. Here is a picture of Gus - He is Mike's Sister's new puppy...he is cute!

Sunday we got out of church at 6pm (only 1 more week of this & we will be going at 9am - I can't wait) & Ben & Sarah came over for dindin. It was such a beautiful day, we had a BBQ. It was so nice.

Yesterday I had to work, but Mike had the day off. I had to get off work early, because I had a Dr. Appt. After that we came home & had a guy come talk to Mike about the Navy. That was interesting. After that, we had a viewing to go to! Sad, but like my mom says, there is only 1 way out of this life & it is death. & I held the CUTEST 4 week old baby boy last night. It makes me want to have one of my own. Maybe someday. I bought Juno today, so maybe in the next couple days, we will get around to watching that, I will let you know what I think! Well, there is our weekend & Monday in a nutshell. Hope all is going well for those out there who read this.
