Grandma's 80th Birthday Party

2 Weeks ago, we had an 80th Birthday Party Reception for my Grandma Farnsworth! It was fun to see family & cousins that we haven't seen in a while. Gavin had lots of fun running around with Bridger, my cousin's son! Happy 80th Birthday Grandma!

Sprinkler Fun

Last Week Mike and Gavin went for a walk down the street, when they came back I heard the water turn on outside, then Mike came in and told me I had to go outside and see what Gavin was doing. I went outside and he was kind of running through the sprinklers. So I watched him a couple times skim by the sprinkler & decided to go back in the house. Mike came back in a couple minutes later to grab the camera & said I had to come outside now to see Gavin. He was "Watering the lawn" soaking wet, and having the time of his life. Maybe this boy is starting to outgrow his Water fear! Cute boy!

3 Years

Half way through! Mike has been in the Navy for 3 years now. He only has 3 more years of Reserves left then he has 2 years of IRR (Inactive Ready Researve) then he needs to make that ever important decision of resigning for 8 more years or not. I know he would like to move up the chain more, so that is going to be our goal for this year. Right now he is a E3, so we are going to move him on up!

Differences

I was thinking last night, and you know when I think at night, I can't sleep. Anyway, I was thinking about how different Gavin & Greyson are in just the few months we have had Greyson. I was also thinking about there similarities. I thought that I should jot a few of them down for remembrance.

Differences:

Greyson is a binky boy, Gavin was not.
Greyson has been sleeping "through the night (until 5am)" for a couple months now, Gavin didn't sleep through the night until 4 months.
Greyson likes to be swaddled, Gavin didn't. He had to have his hands out at all times.
Greyson is a drooler, and spitter upper, Gavin was not.
Greyson is an eater. He drains me in 15 minutes. He doesn't mess around when it comes to food. He doesn't sleep while feeding, he gets right in and eats, Gavin slacked. He would fall asleep, take the whole 10 minutes to eat on 1 side, he was slow.
Greyson will fall asleep if you put him swaddled in his bassinet, Gavin wouldn't. You would have to rock him asleep before you put him down.
Greyson doesn't like the Swing, Gavin did.
Greyson doesn't have dimples, Gavin does.

Similarities:

They both like the Bouncy chair
They both like the Bumbo
They both like white noise
They both like there baths. (That changed for Gavin though)
They both do so well nursing and eating from a bottle.

Love these boys so much!

5 Years

So as of today, I have OFFICALLY been working at my job for 5 years now! That is the longest I have EVER been at a job, unless you count school (as in k-12) or being a wife. That is a job, isn't it? I have had my ups and downs at this job, but it is all in the attitude. I have learned to have a better attitude about it & since then, it has been a great place for me to be. Hey, it helps pay the bills, doesn't it? I am super good at what I do & I really enjoy doing it, even if it is dealing with insurance companies. Happy 5 years for me!

End of the Ones

Greyson is offically out of the size 1 diapers! On to the 1-2 size! He is growing up so fast:(

Goose Egg

A couple weeks ago, Gavin was having a rough morning...Not enough sleep or something, so he was throwing a fit, by the window & went to throw himself on the ground & got his head on the window bar. His head started forming a goose egg and brusing. Here is Gavin's first Goose Egg.

3 Months

Holy Moly - My baby boy is 3 months old. I love this little little guy so much! He has definitely stolen my heart...FOREVER. Here is an update about him:

*He hates tummy time, so I am a BAD MOM & I never make him do it...Maybe like once a week or something. He will never roll over...

*He loves his bumbo & looking at us while sitting up.

*He laughs and laughs and laughs. He has been laughing for a while now.

*He eats 5-6 times a day and sleeps from 8:30 to 5 every night. He has an hour play time after eating then it is time for a nap before the next feeding.

*He sleeps in his Pack-n-Play bassinett now...still in our room.

*He still hates his swing...at least when I am around.

*He is in 3-6 month clothes & 1-2 dapers. Big Boy.

*He likes to stare at his hands, then his mouth usually finds them...

*He is still a binky boy.

We love this little boy so much. So glad he is part of our family!

24th of July

This year for the 24th of July we had a fun firework show with just the 4 of us. Gavin did sparklers & LOVED them & we shot off some legal fireworks. It was about a 10 minute show for us & we loved it. Gavin had a great time & Greyson I am sure enjoyed his first fireworks.

Quick Update

Since I haven't posted in what seems like forever, and if you don't hear from me once a week, here is a quick update of the events of the last week.

*Greyson is now 3 months old...I really just want to keep him in a little compact forever, so he can stay the size he is now & need me forever! Love him!

*Mike lost his job, after he was transferred to another store & only worked there 1 week.

*Applied for food stamps but was denied because I make to much money...go figure.

*Can't apply for WIC because they are closed this week...Just our luck.

*Can't get unemployement yet because someone is AZ is using Mike's social...AWESOME! Workforce Services is working on this & will hopefully get it taken care of so we can at least get 1 check from them because...

*Mike got a new job! And he starts on Tuesday. So only 1 week out of work...that ain't bad!

*We are having a yard sale tomorrow, so if you are in the area of Utah County or Eagle Mountain, come support our "Mike has been out of work for a week so we need money" Yard sale!

I will post more hopefully tonight or tomorrow while I am bored at the Yard Sale.
