Pinterest Challenge

So I have been on Pinterest for a while now, and pinning away lots of different desserts, workouts, holiday ideas and Teaching and learning ideas for the boys.  I have also been pinning "Good Eats."  Dinner ideas that looked and sounded good to me.  Well, I wasn't using these ideas and we were still making the same things for dinner week by week.

A couple weeks ago I decided that what is the point of me pinning all these new recipes if I wasn't using them.  So I started making a new, different dinner every night (Sunday-Thursday) to try out some new things and see if we can start adding flavor and new recipes into our weekly menus.

Today will be day 14 of this "Pinterest Challenge" I have issued to myself.  Some of the things we have had haven't been as good, but others have been AMAZING.  If you haven't started using the recipes that you are pinning, I suggest you start.  There are some great things out there.  I am going to keep this up until there isn't anything else we can try.  Hopefully this will help with the age old question "What's for dinner."

Melt a stick of butter in the pan. Slice one lemon and layer it on top of the butter. Put down fresh shrimp, then sprinkle one pack of dried Italian seasoning. Put in the oven and bake at 350 for 15 min. :)

Time to Lose the Weight

I guess it is time to do the weight loss post.

On April 16th I started my new eating and exercise lifestyle.  Tomorrow will be 60 days since that date.  Whoa, that is a long time.  If you didn't know or couldn't tell from the Myfitnesspal weight loss tracker on the side of the blog, I have lost 21 lbs.  I have hit pre Greyson pregnancy weight & I am looking at about 9 more lbs to lose to reach my goal weigh & pre Gavin pregnance weight.  This week, I am not going to lie, has been rough.  I am getting back into it though and will be back on the saddle again.

I am eating 1200 calories a day and working out with Wii Zumba, Wii Just Dance, Wii Active, The FIRM episodes on Hulu Plus and lots and lots of push-ups, sit-ups and stuff like that.  We are also taking lots of Family walks.  We are eating lots more veggies and fruit and trying to eat more healthy as a family.

Tonight I am starting a 30 day Ab Challenge.  I took a belly picture for day 1 and will so this for 30 days and we will see how I shake out after the 30 days.  I will keep you posted.

Annular Solar Eclipse

On Sunday May 20th, there was the Annular Solar Eclipse.  I tried to get a good picture of it with our camera but couldn't get it.  Gavin loved looking at it and Greyson just liked looking outside.  Some friends of ours went to Southern Utah & got these great shots of it so I though I would share so we can remember we were here and saw it.

Outside Water Fun

A couple weeks ago when it was starting to get SO HOT, we decided to break out the new water toy we got for a great deal.  The boys (Mike included) had the best time ever!  Gavin and Greyson were SOAKED by the end of it!  They can't wait to break it out again!
