It has been a busy, fun, productive, sometime stressful, happy 2011 year! We added a new family member, decided to stay in our little house in Eagle Mountain, got lots of new jobs, and celebrated life! I can't wait to see what 2012 brings us!

Brothers...Continued

For Christmas, I got the boys matching shirts. I know it isn't the "cool" thing to do anymore, buy your kids matching clothes, but sometimes, they are in the right sizes I need, they are good priced and they are just to cute (or cool, in boy terms) to pass up! So I got the boys matching "Big Brother, Little Brother" shirts! Dang, they are so cute...the boys, not the shirts!

Christmas Ornaments

We have decided to buy our kids Christmas Ornaments ever year. Just something that kind of sums up that year for them. Here is Gavin's first 2 and then this years & Greyson's for this year!

This is Greyson's "Baby's 1st Christmas 2011" Ornament.

This is Gavin's "Baby's 1st Christmas 2009" Ornament. It is binkie because we had so many problems with him a Binkies!

This is an Ornament for Gavin from last year 2010 because he was going to be a Big Brother!

This was another Gavin's last year 2010 ornament because he was so into lights. This snowman ornament lights up and changes colors.

This Mater Ornament is Gavin's for this year 2011. It is because he loves Cars and Mater!

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Gavin was the same as last year, he only wanted to play with the present he had just unwrapped, and we gave him a gift to unwrap first that he wanted, so all he wanted to do was play with that toy. Greyson wasn't in to it at all, he just like to put everything you handed him into his mouth. Our favorite gifts this year were:

Mike - His new HP Laptop
Alicia - My Cricut/Gypsy Bundle
Gavin - His Bigfoot Monster & Laptop
Greyson - The light up bouncy ball

Christmas Eve Jammies

Here we are in our 2011 Christmas Eve Pajamas!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went up to Mike's Mother's boyfriend's house. We ate a good Italian dinner and Santa even made an appearance! Gavin was THRILLED! He ran right up behind him and gave his legs a big hug. Santa handed out Christmas presents to the kids. Gavin & Greyson got their Christmas Eve pajamas! It was a lot of fun!

8 Months

Um...Super crazy I already have an 8 month old! Where has this year gone? It seems like I just found out we were having another boy & here we are, and he is already 8 months old and into anything and everything he can get into! Here is a little Greyson update.

*He now has 4 teeth. His 2 bottom teeth and 2 on the top. The only thing is, I don't know which teeth they are on top. They aren't his front teeth, that is for sure. I can't tell if they are the 2nd front teeth or the I teeth. I have weird kids!

*The new teeth explain why we haven't been getting much sleep at night. Poor kid!

*He is pretty much sleep trained now. You can swaddle him and put him in the bed and he will fall asleep. Sometimes he still cries a bit if he is super tired, but mostly he just falls asleep!

*He loves baths, still hates his tummy and wants to play with anything you have in your hands or if Gavin is nearby playing with it.

*He is still in 6-9 month clothes and size 2 diapers.

*He talks so much now and says baba and dada. He also growls at you. It is cute!

*He is a really good eater. He still eats 5 times a day from me or the bottle. He eats Fruits in the morning and veggies in the afternoon. Then for dinner I try to give him something that we are eating, last night it was tortillas. He likes pasta, rice, tortillas, potatoes, jello, rolls and bread. He is an eater.

Even though he keeps me up at night, I love this little guy so much! It is just extra time we get to spend together up at night!

Santa 2011

We went to see Santa tonight. There is a guy in our ward who dresses up as Santa every year, so we went the cheap and close route this year and went to see him. Gavin was so excited and ran right up to him to sit on this lap. Greyson, on the other hand, wasn't so into it. He was tired, we had a long night of shopping and running around. He is not a carseat fan. Anywho, Gavin kept saying "Merry Christmas Santa," and "Goodbye Santa." He was in love! Santa also gives the kids who come see him a stuffed animal. Gavin chose a doggie, and I don't know what Greyson ended up with. Gavin asked if he could take his Doggie stuffed animal that he got from Santa to bed with him. He is sleeping with it! So cute! Here are the Santa pictures for 2011, not professionally done, but we didn't have to spend any money!

Stocking Stuffer?

Look who fits in his stocking this year?

Train

It is that time of year again! Time to break out the old Train! We have a new member of the family who has to be introduced...And trust me, he loves it. We just might have a Train boy with this one!

33 Months

I can't believe that in 3 short months I will have a 3 year old! Wow! Gavin is getting so big, so fast. He learns so much everyday. Here is an update!

*He is too big for his 24 month clothes, so he is mostly in 2T clothes, still in size 4 diapers, and in size 6 shoes.

*He is still no where close to potty training. I tried on Thanksgiving & he freaked out and asked for his diapers.

*He is still such a great sleeper. We can put him to bed, he will stay in his bed and sleep! I love that! He does wake up in the middle of the night most nights and comes into our room to sleep on the floor. Most mornings when I get up to feed Greyson he is laying on our floor sleeping.

*He is still a really picky eater, if it is hot, he won't eat it. He has to blow on everything before it enters his mouth, and he still hates "feeding himself" and won't eat unless you feed him. And if there is any mention of dessert, he will immediately stop eating and want that dessert!

*He is getting really good at his ABCs and Songs that we sing. I can sing the tune to "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and he will tell me that it is that song!

*He loves to get books to read. He also loves to watch his movies or TV shows on Netflix.

*His favorite TV shows are "Yo Gabba Gabba," "Curious George," Blue's Clues," "Veggie Tales."

*His favorite Movies are "Rio," "Rango," and anything Christmas.

*He loves the Christmas Tree, and flocks to any Christmas Tree where ever we go.

*He loves to help, and is a great big brother. He doesn't like sharing though, so we will have to teach him.

*He still doesn't "get" his colors, so I don't know if he is color blind or just really stubborn! We have literally been working on colors for a year now but everything is either Green or Orange.

*He does know all his shapes though!

*He still repeats everything you say.

*He has "Mommy Separation Anxiety" when we are with other people. He is always afraid they will take him from me.

What a STINKIN CUTE KID! So lucky he is my little guy! Love him so much!

Jazz Fan

Greyson is a JAZZ FAN in training!

Funny Gav

We tend to get a lot of kids meals every Saturday night. With all the running around, it is just easier. In October Burger King had this nice little "Gary" headband. Gavin loved it! He wore it everywhere. Cute kid!

PS - This is my 400th blog post! Go me!

First HairCut

Please don't mind the crappy cell phone picture I took of Greyson's first haircut. This kid had the longest hair when he was born. Then lots of it fell out & his hair started growing again. Well at the crown of his head, the long baby hair just stayed, so he had this "ponytail" of longer then his other hair, hair. So on Saturday, I gave him a haircut to make it all even! Cute kid!

Santa 2011

On Saturday we went to Walmart to go grocery shopping. While we were there shopping, over the PA system they kept announcing that Santa was in the Garden Dept. Everytime they would say it, Gavin kept saying "Santa?" So we bought all our groceries, took them out to the car and went back in to see Santa. Greyson was sleeping, so just Gavin saw him this time. We are hoping that the "Santa" in our ward will do it again this year so we don't have to travel so far away from home & pay for pictures for 2 kids!

7 Months Old

Greyson is 7 Months old! WHA? Time goes by way to fast! Here is what he has been up too!

*He still hates his tummy, he will just bury his head in the carpet & pity cry. When Mike puts him down, he does ok for a minute.

*He is an amazing sitter though! He has incredible balance!

*Like his swing, he doesn't like his jumperoo, if I put him in it. If anyone else puts him in it & I am not around, ht is okay.

*He is a TOTAL mommas boy! He cries if I put him down, hand him off to someone else, leave the room! He is spoiled!

*He still likes to be swaddled and it is the only way to get him to calm down most times.

*He is getting better and better at self soothing and falling asleep by himself without rocking.

*He is not a very good eater of solid foods, at least for me. The babysitter says he does great for her.

*He always wants to "help" you with what you are doing by grabbing anything or everything he can that is in front of him.

*He has 2 teeth, wears 6-9 month clothes, size 2 diapers and still has lots of cute blonde hair.

*He nurses 5 times a day when I am home all day, when I am at work, he nurses 3 times and has 3 bottles.

*He hasn't been sleeping through the night as of late, but hopefully whatever is bugging him will soon be gone!

Love love love this cute little guy!
