Toothies Update

Gavin OFFICIALLY has 3 teeth now. I was cleaning his teeth/gums & felt the tooth on his upper right side. It is officially here. The left side tooth doesn't look very far behind either, so he will soon have 4 teeth. He is growing up so fast!

TOOTHIES UPDATE - Gavin's 4th tooth popped through on 1/1/10! My baby has 4 teethies!

Christmas Eve

Mike & I both had Christmas Eve off so we slept in as much as Gavin would let us, we got ourselves ready for the day, finished our last minute Stocking Stuffing & Gift Wrapping before the big day & headed off to Mike's Sister's house. On our way up there we stopped at In & Out Burger! YUM! I loved it! Anywho, then we were off again up the Mountain to spend Christmas with Family. Here are some pictures we took heading up Provo Canyon. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!

We had a great Dinner with Mike's Family. We played Guitar Hero, Karaoke Revolution & Mario Kart. Then it was time to open presents. Gavin LOVED opening presents & even more loved playing with his great gifts that he got from Grandma Wallenberg.

Here are some other pictures of the night!

A New Tradition

This Year we went to see the Lights at Thanksgiving Point. It is an AWESOME drive through light display for Christmas Time. I forgot my camera to take my pictures, but they had some AMAZING displays. I would suggest everyone check it out. We have decided that we are going to make it a new Family Christmas Tradition (as long as we are still in Utah &/or driving distance) The best part of the display was at the end they had boards with "The Christmas Story" with the Star & the Shepard's & the baby Jesus. It was a great night & we can't wait to do it again next year!

9 Months

I am still not getting any better at this Monthly post. At least I haven't given up! It should have been my 1st one today, instead of the last post of the day! Oh well, here's hoping I remember all the new things for this month! If not, I will add later.

First off - His 9 month stats!
17 lbs 7 oz
27.25 Inches long
17.25 Head
I don't have the %tiles right now so I will get them later & post them! Now, for the FUN stuff.

*We have moved his crib down now so he can start trying to stand in there anytime now!

*He has found his "down there" area. We had a little issue with his "down there" area at his 9 month appointment, but it has been taken care of.

*He is starting more & more each day to like tummy time & try to get on his knees to move. Hopefully he will crawl soon.

*He is still a blubbering fool!

*He now reaches for people.

*He LOVES food, all of a sudden & will eat & eat & eat whatever you feed him!

*He rolls from his back to his belly to his back again like he has been doing it forever.

*He still likes his jumperoo, but would rather sit on the floor & play with his toys or scoot to the tree to take ornaments off.

*He HATES getting into his car seat, but as soon as he is strapped in, he is fine.

*His bedtime is now bath at 7, eating at 7:30 & bed by 8, & he still sleeps until 5:45 when it is time to feed before I go to work! It has made for a more pleasant baby at night.

*He is a dancing fool. We will play music & he will just move his whole body! It is super cute.

*He kinda waves at people, but I think it is to get your attention to pick him up because he kinda waves & then reaches up for you to pick me up!

*Most the time when we take pictures of him lately he looks so drugged up or extremely tired in them! I think that is why I haven't been taking a lot of pictures of him...SAD. That is a new years resolution!

*He has started eating those puffy fruit things by himself now!

*It looks like he still has a clogged tear duct in his right eye, so we have gotten a referral from our pediatrician to a Pediatric Opthamoligist. I will keep you all updated on how that goes & what happens.

I can't believe how big he is & how fast he is growing! We love our little monkey!

Wallenberg Group Family Pictures

*Check below for my favorite photos from our Family Photo Shoot

Here are some pictures of our Wallenberg Group Family Photo Shoot! It was a great time & we got some great pictures. Hopefully we won't have to wait another 25+ years to get another group family photo! Enjoy!

Family Pictures

This post has been a LONG TIME COMING! Here you go...our most favorite Family Pictures we took a month & a half ago. Thanks again Ashley! They are great Family memories!

Santa

We took Gavin to see Santa last night. It was a very interesting night. We haven't ever been to see Santa as Gavin is our 1st child, so we didn't know if you would have to pay to see Santa & if we could just take our own pictures or have to spend a fortune on their pictures. We got to South Towne Mall at 7 & waited in the what was fairly short line to see Santa. As soon as we got to the line, we took Gavin out of his Car Seat & he stunk SO BAD! We checked him because lately he has just been gassy & not poopy, but sure enough he was poopy. We stayed in line for about 10 minutes & moved about halfway though the line before we decided we really need to change him because he stunk! We left the diaper bag out in the car, so Mike took Gavin out there to change his diaper really quick. By that time we had got up to the "Tracking Station" & there was a sign that said they request that we don't take any pictures with our personal cameras or camera phones. We looked at the package & all we really wanted was something we could put on the computer so that we could save it for the future. This is where the divine intervention comes into place. By the time we got up to see Santa, there camera was broken & Santa being a kind loving soul he is, told his little photographer helpers to let everyone know & if they had their own camera to let them come through to use it! AHAHAHAH!!! We were in HEAVEN!! We saved $20! Santa was super nice & loved Gavin & I think Gavin liked him too! Enjoy the picture of Gavin's 1st Christmas year!

8 Months

I am slacking more & more each month on these monthly updates, but I want to do them so we can all look back & see what Gavin was up to & when he was doing it.

I have no idea what he weighs, but he is still a chunck!

He is now up to size 3 diapers.

He is in his 6-9 month clothes & has been for a month now, we might have to get him into 9-12 month Gerber onesie soon.

He has mastered the roll from his tummy to his back, we are still working on him mastering the roll from his back to his tummy, but he sure hates being on his tummy. If I put him on his tummy on my tummy, we always rolls off! Silly kid.

He has 2 teeth, his bottom front teeth. They are so cute until they bite you when you are feeding him!

He sleeps from about 9pm-5:30am.

We are working on solids again. That week he was sick last month he kinda lost all interest in solids, but he will eat those melt in your mouth Cheerios if you suck on them first & get them soggy. He will eat bread & he LOVES oatmeal. That is the only baby food he will eat as of right now. No more Applesauce, Bananas or Pears! One day he will get back to it hopefully!

He will pull on your hands, clothes, anything he can get his hands on to pull himself to a standing position when he is sitting.

He is also working on pulling up from laying into a sitting position.

He lounges his body at anything & everything that he sees that he wants.

He is holding his own bottle & feeding himself with it!

He still loves Bathtime, his Jumperoo & to talk & talk & talk. He says "mumumum", "dadadad", "babababa", & something that sounds like "hi" or "hey"

I can't believe my little guy is 8 months old. He has done so much in the last month. Can't wait to see what next month brings.

Family Pictures

We had Ashley take our Family pictures a couple weekends ago. I can't wait to get the CD of all the images from her, but until then, I have posted on the side bar some of the proofs that she sent to us of our cute little Family, of Mike & I & of the LG. Check them out & let me know what you think? I will post more pictures when I get them from her! Thanks again Ashley for doing this for us!

HALLOWEEN

Our Halloween was interesting. Read the next post for the day time fun. Friday was our work Halloween party. We had a "Mad Hatter" party. We all made our own hats to display for voting. We had a raffle & the hat with the most votes won the money. I was 2nd place. Dangit! We had a great pot luck (like we always do) & hardly worked all day.

Saturday night we dressed up Gavin & Bear & passed out some candy to all the little kiddies. Gavin refused to take his early evening nap because he new there was something going on & he wanted to be a part of it. Since we refused to nap, we had to close down Halloween shop early to get him bathed & put to bed. Enjoy our Halloween pictures.

More H1N1

This weekend wasn't the greatest weekend for us. Mike started having "complications" Friday night & we decided that we would hold off on anything until Saturday because we weren't quite sure if it was bad or just the antibotic doing its job. Saturday morning he was still having this problem, so we called the Dr. & he told us to go to either the Instacare or the ER. We had some neighbors come over & give Mike a blessing & then headed to the ER. I had to stay outside because I had Gavin & they wouldn't let him in. We called Mike's Mom & Sister & asked them to come down to get Gavin so I could be with Mike. They ran some tests, some of which turned out to be okay & others we haven't found the results of yet. They put an IV in him & released him about 2 telling him to rest, relax & liquids for 24 hours. He is still not feeling the best, but it seems he is on the upswing. Thankfully still, Gavin & I haven't gotten it & are still out of the clear. I am still sleeping on the air mattress in the Dining room, so hopefully by this weekend everything will be back to normal for our Family Pictures. Thanks again everyone for helping us & thinking of us & being there for us!

H1N1 Again

The H1N1 virus has officially hit the Wallenberg home. Remember this? Well, that was not officially H1N1 but on Wednesday, Mike called me & said he wasn't feeling very good. I was sick last weekend with a really bad sore throat & head cold & thought he might be getting that. He was progressively getting worse as the minutes, hours, day went on, so Thursday, I got him a Drs. Appt. The Dr. said he did have H1N1 & got him some meds. It is now Friday night & he is still not feeling any better! I have been sleeping on a blowup air mattress in the dining room, which really bites! Thanks to everyone for their kind works, support, thoughts, prayers at this time! Thanks Kelly for all the help this week. You help us out so much & I don't even know where we would be without you this week! You are awesome & we love you so much! Thanks for taking such good care of our LG & loving him as your own! Please, please continue to keep our Family in your prayers that Gavin & I don't get this nasty virus & that Mike will recover quickly!

Teeth

Guess who has his 2 bottom teeth? Gavin does! Every night when I bathe him, our routine is to clean out his nose, his ears, clip his nails, lotion & brushing his hair & his gums. When I brushed yesterday, I swear I didn't feel anything! When I brushed tonight, I was suprised to feel BOTH of his bottom teeth. I looked & sure enough, they have both broke through! I can't believe it, our little baby is getting so big & growing up! Now lets pray he doesn't bite me when feeding!

More Funny Gavin

Gavin does this new "thing" when he sees the camera flash. See for yourself:

He also smiles like this when you put the "Tickle Me Elmo" up to his face & push the button to make him laugh!

We have such a funny, cute kid!

6 Month Photo Shoot

Here are some pictures of Gavin's 6 month photo shoot by Ashley, taken about 2 months ago. Hey we have been EXTREMELY busy round here & better late then never. Enjoy my FAVORITES!

7 Months

I better get on this post before he is 8 months & it is time to post again on what he is doing new then! Check out what he is doing:

*He weighted 16 lbs 9 oz 3 days before he turned 7 months. He was sick that week, so he might have lost some weight, but I am sure he is back up there again.

*He says "mumumumum" all the time. He just started saying "dada" which makes Mike so super happy.

*He is a natural born sitter & loves to sit.

*He loves to stand. At church I will turn him around & let him hold the back of the seat & stand, he loves it.

*He has had a couple set backs with being sick, so he has been waking up at 4am for the last couple weeks. Hopefully we will get back to him sleeping to 6am.

*Still no teeth.

*He still loves his jumperoo

*He is a talker...He will talk & talk & talk!

*He isn't much of a mover, or a roller. If he can't reach a toy, he will just move on to something else, sometimes he will get upset, but not all the time.

*He has also learned how to pull off the rings of the doughnut toy!

We can't wait to see what he does next!

Messy Messy Boy

Last week we started him on Prunes. We had got some food from my SIL that Preslie didn't eat, so we decided to try it out. Gavin hasn't made to big of a mess when he eats so far that we have had to clean up...the worst so far was when we started Peaches & they didn't sit well with him & he threw them up. Prunes are messy, because they are dark instead of neutral colored. At least he liked them!

Sickness...

Saturday, the day after my birthday, Gavin was having a rough day! He had 3 blowouts in a row & was super cranky. I thought it was because of the caffeine I drank...because it was my birthday. Here is his new "Mother of all Blowouts" picture, because it trumps the last one! He was so tired Saturday night we wouldn't fall asleep until he was all worn out in his sleeper.

Sunday Gavin was still super cranky, he wouldn't nurse & was sleeping for 2 hours at a time when he nursed. He never sleeps like that.

Monday he was doing all right but when I got home from work, he was warm. We tried to take his temperature, but he was moving so much, he wouldn't let us. I brought him home, gave him some meds & feed him. He feel asleep & slept for a long time. After he woke up, he was still burning up, so I took his temperature & it was 101.9. He had a rough night Monday night & woke up with a fever again on Tuesday. We took him to the Dr. & they had said it was a virus, but did a urinalysis to test for a UTI. They are now thinking that it isn't a UTI & just a virus. He fever finally broke last night & he is finally starting to come around. He has been throwing up every time I nurse him, but this morning he finally didn't. Now we just need to get him to eat & sleep again at night and he will be back to normal! Thanks everyone for your thought, prayers & faith! We love you!

BIRTHDAY

Last weekend was my birthday. Thank you for all the birthday wishes, thoughts, texts, emails, messages, gifts, everything! It was a great day! I got the day off, even though I didn't think I was going to with how busy I have been at work. I got to hang out with my Boys all day, we got Bear groomed, which was very much needed, Played a new Wii game that is super addicting & went to dinner at my favorite Mexican Resturant. It was a great day & here's to 27!

My Boys, on my Birthday!

Look who can Sit

A couple weeks ago we started working with Gavin on sitting. He has pretty much got it mastered, & we let him sit while we are cleaning house or doing other stuff to keep him occupied. We keep a Boppy behind him just in case he looses his balance, but lately it has been really rare, so I think he has gotten it down. Here he is on all his sitting glory...I will take you through his sitting stages!

Buddy Walk

On the 26th of September, we participated in our First Annual Buddy Walk for out sweet niece Preslie. It was so much fun with a carnival for the kids & my SIL's friend Jen donated her time & talents to the Buddy Walk as 'Soda Pop' the Clown! Her & Michelle made balloon animals & painted faces. After the 'Walk' around the block, we had lunch & sat around chatting with our great team that was there to support. Enjoy the pictures of this great day & we can't wait until next year to do this again!
