Greyson's Birthday Party

This year for Greyson's birthday party, we had a really low key theme.  We just had a pizza party, ate cupcakes and opened presents.  It was a lot of fun and really easy!

Zoo 2014

So, we went to the Zoo this year.  It is kind of a hit or miss thing with us.  We talk about it all Spring and Summer but something else always comes up and we don't end up going.  The boys were really excited about it and really wanted to go.  We didn't go the original weekend we wanted to because Grey was sick with his high fever, but we ended up going on Memorial day.  It was hot, but ended up being a great day.  We bought a wagon for the boys to ride in and had a stroller for Garett, so we didn't get off to bad!  Greyson loved the Bears, Wolves, Tiger and Lions.  Gavin liked the Monkeys and Seals.  Garett was just happy to be with us.

Garett's Dairy Allergy

I don't even know if I blogged about this yet or not, so here we go.

In March we took Garett to his 2 month well child check and he was super congested around that time, so we discussed it with the Dr. He said that Garett probably had a dairy allergy so I needed to cut out dairy.  I did that and it seemed that things were getting better, he wasn't congested anymore, then all of a sudden in the middle of April, about a month after his 2 month well child check when I cut back on the dairy, Garett got a wicked rash on his forehead and was super congested again.  We took him back to the Dr and found out he has eczema and that I really need to cut out dairy, and if it continued, we needed to look at different things.

I cut it out as much as seriously possibly could and things got better again. Then the middle of May, Garett started waking up in the middle of the night when he hadn't been doing that forever, and waking up every 2 hours to eat. It seemed like I wasn't feeding him enough.  I wasn't getting sleep, I was tired, and couldn't have dairy.  I tried everything to bump back up my milk supply, but it seams that we are now going the way of Formula (which is expensive by the way to this mom that has only breastfeed 2 children for over a year!)

So, he is still half on breast milk and half on Similac Sensitive Formula and is doing great.  He is sleeping through most of the night and no more eczema or rashes and is gaining weight and growing like a weed.  This third boy of mine has been quite the rebel, he sure has stood out from his brothers.

Church Bags

I was getting so sick of carrying around all my stuff for my lessons and such at church plus all the boys stuff as well that I decided to make them their own bags to carry their own stuff around.  They turned out really good.

Cute Garett

A couple weeks ago when I got home from work, Garett must have had a really rough day, because all he did was sleep, where ever he was.  Check it out!

And I cute photo shopped them from my phone :)

A Rash, Fever, and Ulcer

Whew, this is how our month of May basically turned out besides the burnt hand.  We started the month with Greyson getting a high fever, a trip to the hospital and Drs. office they said he had a large Ulcer on his tonsil pocket.  Then Gavin got a rash that started on his face then went down to his arms, then Grey got the same rash, but a little bit worse, and then Gavin ended the month with a fever and an Ulcer on his tonsil.  Whew, what a month.

Gavin's Preschool Graduation 2014

On May 14th, Gavin graduated from his 2nd year of Preschool! Lucky kid. He is all ready for Kindergarten, and he is super excited to go too! Here is to the next step!

Easter 2014

The boys in their Easter Best!
We had a great Easter this year. It was Garett's first and they boys had a great time getting new toys, candy and having an Egg hunt.
They got new Sunglasses
And all their fun toys in the baskets
We got Garett a play mat!

Greyson finding eggs
After the hunt was over!

Fun with Boys

For Gavin's birthday we found this cool car road tape. So we taped it to the carpet and left it there for a week or so to let the boys drive their cars on it.  It was so fun and they had a great time with it.  I wish we would have bought a small carpet rug or something for it so we could always keep it and just bring it out when they want to play with it, but we didn't. It was fun while it lasted!

New Washer and Dryer

I really don't know why I am posting this, but we got a new washer and dryer the end of April that I am SO TOTALLY EXCITED about.  I love them! They are amazing and I hope they work a long long time because they were expensive!

I think we are going to take back the pedestals they sit on because #1, they don't fit the washer and dryer, and #2, they don't fit in the space we have for them either, the drawers won't open because of a pipe sitting there. So we will see, that will save us $500 right there if we take them back :)  Now we just need to come up with the money to finish the basement and make it look like a Laundry Room!

5 Months Old

Haha - I can blog about my baby being 5 months old, but I am having a hard time blogging about his 2 month and 4 month well child checks and such.  Well, at least you can see a current picture of him! 5 weeks old on Tuesday, June 10th! Love this little stinker!

LeAnn's Last Day

May 30th was LeAnn's last day (she was our babysitter).  We will miss her and we are so glad she was able to watch the boys for us when she did.  We made her a little gift to show her Thanks and that we will miss her.  Luckily we still get to see her a church.

Frozen

Gavin was invited to a friend's from preschool birthday party and it was Frozen.  He was the only boy and was in love with Elsa.  He got invited to another Frozen birthday party a week later, but he had to miss it and was really upset about it.  We watch Frozen all the time.  Crazy kid!

Field Trips

Gavin took a couple field trips this year in Preschool.  They went to the Fire Station as well as the Library and to the new grocery store in Eagle Mountain, Ridleys.  He loved all three of these places and talks about them all the time when he was able to go for preschool.

Greyson's Hand

I hope we don't ever have to go through this ever again! On May 12th, I was cooking dinner in the kitchen and Greyson pulled up a chair to "help" me. I has just turned off the stove and moved the rice from the burner and turned around to the counter to shred the chicken for dinner when Greyson started asking me a question. I answered his question and then all of a sudden he was screaming bloody murder and holding his right hand up for me to look at. I immediately knew what happened.  He put his hand on the burner and burnt it.  I ran it under cold water and put Aloe Vera from our plant on it, but he freaked out for about 2 hours after it happened.  We asked our neighbor to come help give him a blessing and then Mike took him to the fire station to see if we needed to go to the hospital, because we were getting different opinions about it.  We finally did decide to take him to the ER and they looked at it and said it would be ok, but we needed to have his Dr. follow it to make sure it healed.  We had weekly appointments for his hand after that through May and we are very glad to say that it is looking and doing so much better.  He does baby it sometimes, but we are happy it is passed us and we are back on the road again.  Warning...Yucky pictures...
The top left is his hand the day after, the top left is day 3, bottom left is 2 weeks after and the last picture is last week so 3 weeks after.

This was the morning after it happened all wrapped up
And after his first Drs. visit, wrapped way better.

Wallenberg Family Update

So, see, this is what happens.  I get busy, and crazy and don't update the blog. Then my mom calls me and drops the hint "update your blog."  Ugh, I know, I am so busy.  Here is an update...followed by Gavin's birthday update, Garett's blessing update, Greyson's birthday update and all three of the boys' well child check updates...how is that...Maybe some Easter too, and we can do a quick post on the crappiness that was MAY!  Let's start with a Wallenberg Family update, shall we?

Garett: Oh my, He is a chunk. He stopped sleeping until 4 a couple weeks ago which lead me to believe I wasn't making though milk, so I started supplementing the last feeding of the day with Rice Cereal.  We started with 5 ounces of BreastMilk and 1 tablespoon of Cereal and we are now up to 7.5 ozs and 4 tablespoons just to get him to sleep to 4 am! Crazy right? Since that started I have basically lost my milk and he is eating everything I have stocked up in the freezer as well as formula now.  He is on Similac Sensitive (in case anyone wants to buy us some...it is expensive...) and seems to be doing well when we give it to me.  He has a whole Dairy allergy which I am sure I haven't posted about because it has been 3 months or so since my last update.  He is still in 3-6 month clothes but I think we will move him up to 6-9 month clothes this weekend, size 2 diapers until he runs out of those and likes to splash in his bath!  He has found his hands and likes to suck on them and find toys with them. He is sleeping in his own bed until his feeding when I feed him and we go back to sleep.  It is so nice to have him in his own bed :)  His Dairy allergy makes it so he is gassy and fussy a lot, but we are working through it.  I think we are going to move to Formula next week, so hopefully it gets better.

Greyson: He is in 24 Month and 2T pants and 3T shirts.  He is still in Diapers (size 5). We have been trying to work with him on potty training and he gets really excited for it, but then when it comes time, he doesn't want to do it anymore.  He is a good, for the most part, eater.  He likes French Toast Sticks, Cereal, Pop Tarts, Pancakes, Sausage, and Chicken Nuggets.  He talks really really well. He knows all his ABCs and is starting with the sounds they make and writing them.  He knows his colors and shapes.  He is a big temper tantrum thrower though.  We love that.  He has to go to sleep with the light on and a sippy cup of juice.  He is just a funny kid.  He is the bully and most of the time is hurting Gavin.  He loves Garett and loves to kiss and hug him and help him.  He did burn his hand on May 12th, it was not a fun time but it has been almost a month and his hand is so much better and not wrapped anymore.  He also had 2 hospital visits in May, one for a fever for 3 days that didn't go away and for his hand.  We visited the dr. 5 times in May and everytime, he was seen. It was a crazy busy month.

Gavin: He finished his 2nd year of Preschool and is excited and ready to go to Kindergarten.  He is doing well at the potty training thing and even at night.  Sometimes it is rough, but he makes it most the time.  He knows all his alphabet of course, all the sounds they make, a lot of his numbers and is starting to sound words out to read.  He is a big helper with his brothers.  He did get sick in May and had a fever to end the month, and also had a rash, but nothing as bad a Greyson.  He is sleeping in his twin size bed and really wants to get bunk beds...We will see.  He is not really an eater but likes all the breakfast foods and chicken nuggets too.

Mike: He is still at K&A auto in Lehi.  He will be going on a military training from June 10-21 so we will miss him then. His new calling is Bear Leader in the Cub Scouts and he likes it for the most part. He has been thinking about going to school for Nursing, or his A&P license, but we will see what he decides to do.  Nothing really other then that new for him.

Me: Lost my milk, my new calling is Nursery Leader...And I love it!  I think with the stress of May, lack of sleep, all the sickness and not being able to eat like I have in the past because of the Dairy Allergy, it finally caught up with me and I am losing my milk slowly.  It has been a struggle.  Last weekend I had horrific Allergies as well, so that didn't help my situation with the Milk. Other than that, I am just plugging along.  I am looking at a Dental Hygiene school in Salt Lake and will apply for admission for next April, so hopefully that will help us. We are slowly but finally making a dent in our debt, which is also nice.  We will have the Durango paid off next month and next will be the Credit Cards with the small balances and then we can apply that amount to the credit cards with the bigger balances and hopefully be in a better financial situation at the end of the year.  I am excited about that!

Stay tuned for more posts...hopfully this weekend!
