34 Weeks

I am now 34 weeks along. My Doctors Appointment this week was good. I was measuring right on & gained another 4 lbs! Heartbeat was great & everything is moving right along. 5-7 more weeks until this little guy #2 will make his appearance.

I was cleaning the house today and Gavin just wanted to help me out so much!

Croup

Can I just tell you how glad I am to have the gospel in our lives? I am so thankful for the power of prayer, the priesthood, and faith! Last week Gavin got a cold, it started clearing out on Saturday, we thought we were out of the woods and in the clear. Sunday he started with a little cough. Monday it got a little worse, but nothing to horrible. Last night it was a barking cough. It was horrible and he would get so worked up that he couldn't stop coughing or catch his breath. Mike stayed home with him today and took him to the doctor. The doctor told us that he does indeed have Croup. So we have him on Meds, and breathing treatments and we are hoping and praying that it starts getting better! Please pray for him little guy to make it through this with flying colors! Hopefully soon he will start feeling better and we can get our schedule and routine back to normal!

Spring

Is it offically spring time? Some of us in this house are sure hoping so! We had a great time outside this afternoon. It was a beautiful day so we took full advantage of it and went for a walk!

32 Weeks

I hit the 32 week mark this week. My appointment was normal. Everything is progressing perfectly. I haven't gained any weight in a month. I have only gained 15 lbs so far this whole pregnancy. The Dr. would like to see me gain 10 more, I told him maybe 5. Other than that, everything is going great!

6 Years

Happy Anniversary to Mike and I! 6 Years ago we jumped into something crazy together and it was been 6 years of ups and downs and happy and sads, but it has been worth it! Thanks Mike for finding me, choosing me and marrying me. Thanks for building a life with me and starting a family with me and working as hard as you do for us! Hopefully soon something that we have done right will pay off! Here is to 6+ more years together! Love you!

Big Boy Bed

We finally got Gavin into his toddler bed. It has been a rough couple of nights with him getting used to it & also he has had a cold, so that hasn't been helping. Also, he hasn't napped in it yet, so we have GOT to get something figured out. Anywho, I am sure in the next week or so he will be all used to it! Gavin is in a Big Boy Bed now!

24 Months - ie 2 Years

Gavin is 2 years old, which means it is time for an UPDATE!

First here are his Stats from the Dr.

Weight: 23 lbs 13.5 ozs - 7% (Tiny boy!)
Length: 33.75 inches - 34%
Head: 18.85 inches - 30%

*He is still a pretty good eater, he likes most things you try, his big thing is if he is just not hungry, he won't eat! I figure he isn't going to starve if I am trying to feed him.

*He is in LOVE with the Movie "Cars" as you probably already know.

*He is in the transition of 18 month clothes and 24 month clothes. He wears them all!

*He is in size 4 Diapers is is NO WHERE READY to start potty training.

*He is going to start the toddler bed, I will keep you updated on that.

*He currently has 13 teeth with 3 more working their way in there. These teeth have been the worst for him so far. Can't wait to get them in.

*He likes to color at church and play with his "Cars" sticker book.

*He knows a ton of words, puts some of them together sometimes and is learning new words everyday. He likes to repeat literally everything you say. Today he learned Cookie.

*He is in his "terrible twos" and throws his tantrums when he doesn't get his way or needs help with something.

*He is in Size 5 shoes still since about September. He has small feet!

*He knows what to do when we pray, he will fold his arms, bow his head & close his eyes, but that only lasts about 5 seconds!

*He is getting better and better with is baths. He won't cry anymore, but you still can't move him very much.

*He likes to help clean up & will put his toys in his toy box. He also likes to help vacuum, sweep, mop & load & unload the dishwasher. He likes to watch you cook and is really just a big helper. He will be a great big brother!

Other then that, the Dr. said he is normal, we think he is pretty special & he is a keeper!

2 Years Old

Happy Birthday to my little Monkey. I can't believe you are 2 years old today. It has been a wild yet rewarding ride for us and hopefully for you too! We are so lucky to have you in our lives and look forward to many many more years to come of enjoying every minute with you. You have come a long way in 2 years with many new things to learn and enjoy to come! We love you, are so proud of you and are excited to share the next step in your journey with you! Thanks for choosing us as your eternal family! We wouldn't want it any other way! Love you so much!

2nd Birthday Party

Last Saturday we had Gavin's 2nd Birthday Party. It was a great time with great people. Thanks everyone that came for joining us & sorry we missed the people who couldn't join us! It was a busy day full of food preparation & decorating fun. We got Gavin's haircut in the morning then started the food, went to get the cake, finished up with the food then it was party time! We had Cafe Rio food and Queso. The cake was a "Cars" theme cake for a "Cars" theme birthday party and then we opened presents. Gavin wasn't really interested in opening up the gifts, just with playing with them after they were opened. He stayed up until 10 that night, the latest I think he has ever been up and we all had a great time! Can't wait to celebrate his big day with him Wednesday! Enjoy the pictures!

Cars

Gavin's favorite movie as of the last month or so has been Disney's "Cars." He has never really been a TV or Movie watcher but lately, "Cars" is the only movie he will watch. And we watch it OVER and OVER and OVER again day in and day out. He always brings us the DVD case and says "Mobie, Cars." After the movie is over he hands us the remote to start it over again. It has kind of been a life saver as of late because he has been super cranky teething, so even though I am getting sick of the movie, whatever helps, helps, you know?! We will tell you that we are DEFINITELY looking forward to June 24th, 2011! Hopefully Gavin will like the 2nd movie as much as the 1st!PS - This is my 300th post!
