3 and a Half

Gavin turned 3 and a Half this Month. Wow!  It has gone by super fast!  Here is what he has been up to!

*Preschool! He loves it, and his teacher, and all his friends!

*Music Class. This month he is learning "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" by the teacher and he likes to color when he goes!

*He can sing his ABC and does really good.  He can really only pick out the letter G, but it getting to know A and B.

*He can count to 20, and up to 30 if you help him.

*He knows all his colors (YAY for not being color blind) And does really good with saying them.

*He knows a lot of shapes and his favorite is a Triangle!

*He is still only 29lbs. He is my little guy!

*He is in all 3T clothes (Shirts, Pants/Shorts, Jammies)

*He is Potty Trained during the day and naps, we put him to bed in a diaper.  He will get there one day!

*His favorite TV shows are Word World, Phineas & Ferb and Color World. His favorite Movies are Phineas & Ferb movie and Despicable Me.

*He is still my car boy. He knows a lot of car brands and will drive around a car saying "It's my Toyota" or "It's Cathy's Car" (On the car that looks like Aunt Cathy's)

*He for the most part Loves Greyson and helping him, but he doesn't like to share toys with him or really to have him follow him around and play with.

*He loves Milk, Chicken Nuggets, Grilled Cheese. We make him try everything we eat, he fights it at first then after he tastes it he says it is good and eats a couple more bites:)

*He is a really good talker and can get his point across most the time.

*He is a great sleeper and most the time if Greyson wakes up in the middle of the night and cries Gavin doesn't even flinch!

*He is getting a lot better at not throwing fits and we do spend less and less time on the Time Out chair. He does have his moments, but it is getting better:)

It has been a BIG year for Gavin so far! It is only going to get bigger! Love you big boy!

6 Months

Holy Hannah - My baby is 6 MONTHS OLD! Wow! Where did the time go? For realizes! I can't believe how much this little 6 month old has changed my life. We took him to the Dr yesterday for his Well Child Check-up. Here are his stats!

16 Lbs - 18%tile
26.25 Inches - 37%tile
43 cm Head - 24%tile

Now some fun "stats" about him!

*He has 2 teeth!

*He is now officially rolling. All the time from his belly to his back, almost from his back to belly!

*He loves Oatmeal cereal. He hasn't liked Bananas or Applesauce so far. I mixed Pears in with his cereal yesterday and he ate it right up.

*He nurses about 5 times a day now. 3 naps and sleeps from about 8:45 to 4:45 every night.

*He has asthma, eczema and now the Dr thinks he has allergies! He is his mother's son!

*He is a talker, and tries to mimic sounds that you make with your mouth.

*He is a really good sitter. He can do it for the most part, until he gets super excited and falls over.

*He loves to play and interact now with us. He grabs everything in his reach and sometimes Gavin doesn't like that. But for the most part, they play well together!

*He still has to be swaddled and bounced in the bouncy chair to sleep!

Gavin 6 Month Photo Shoot Part 1

We had a Photo Shoot done with Gavin for his 6 months of life. We did it on the 12th by an AMAZING photographer in our ward Ashley. 6 Months!

Our baby is already 6 months old! It is all down hill from here, he will just keep getting older & older. He is half way to 1! Here are his stats at his 6 month appointment on Thursday:

Weight: 15 lbs 11 & 1/2 oz - 19th%tile

Lenght: 26 inches - 35th%tile

Head: 17 inches - 34th%tile

The Doctor says he is growing nicely & right on schedule. And as you know, we have already started him on solids, so he is just growing right up. He got 4 shots this month, his regular vaccines & the 1st of his Flu shots. We have to go back in a month to get his next Flu shot & we are debating about getting him an H1N1 Flu shot this year. I would like to know whether or not you are going to get an H1N1 shot this year & why? Leave a comment!

Here are somethings Gavin is doing this month. He makes kissing noises, he hasn't so much lately, but has been making them before. He is a really good sleeper. He has been up at 3 the last two nights because of the shots, but he normally sleeps until 5:30 or later. He still loves his Jumperoo. He loves, loves, loves his baths, especially when daddy gives them to him. He will play & play & never wants to get out. He has thrown a fit two nights now when Mike has gotten him out of the bath. We feed him Applesauce last night for the first time & he seemed to like that. He now knows how to take a blanket off his head when you play peek-a-boo with him! He is becoming a better sitter & is rolling now both ways.

We are having such a fun time with Gavin discovering new things with him. Can't wait to see what next month brings for him & what he is doing then!

Gavin & I were playing with his toys, I went into the bedroom really quick to get some chapstick & came back out to Gavin having fell asleep! I was gone for 1 minute...I must have worn him out!
