10 Month Update

Gavin is 10 Months old! I can't believe it has gone this fast. In 2 months he will be 1 year old. WOW! Lets see what he has been up to this month.

*I don't have any clue what he weighs, but he is still "sturdy"

*He is still loving his food. He will eat fruits & veggies & fruit puffs anytime. He is not so much a fan of Milk anymore, but he only has to have that for 2 more months & until the 61 bags of frozen Breast Milk is gone! AGH! On a side note, I think I am going to stop pumping at the end of this month to get that "storage" down.

*He is pulling himself up more. He really can only pull himself up on someone else because he isn't crawling over to things to help him out. He only rolls over to things, that is his "mobleness"

*He is starting to get on he knees & rock, so hopefully one of these days he will crawl. Knowing him, he will walk 1st though & that is okay. He also pivots himself while he is on his tummy so that he can roll in different directions.

*He is still a talker. He says "hi" & the usual "mama", "dada", "baba" & random yelling & screaming to hear himself.

*He is still a great sleeper at night & we have gotten him down to 2 naps a day (at least on weekends)

*He has 4 teeth, it is so nice to not have to deal with a teething baby for a minute, but that will probably change soon!

*He is so interested in the computer when we are on it & will pound the keyboard, he's no dummy, he knows what typing is!

*He is so interested in all of his toys & loves to play with them all on the floor.

*He is also interested in all the tiny little pieces of things he can find on the floor. Interestingly enough, he won't stick them in his mouth.

*He still is very aware of his tounge & in about 75% of pictures we have taken of him lately, he has his tounge sticking out. Maybe later I will do a "tounge" post to show you all!

*Along the note of putting things in his mouth, he still hasn't quite caught on to that concept yet, but we are working on it.

*He loves to discover new things. The other day Mike was taking a shower & Gavin was on the bed playing. He found the Kleenex's on the head board & pulled one out only to discover that another one will pop out. Needless to say, when Mike got out of the shower Gavin had the bed & himself covered with Kleenex's. Silly kid.

We are still very much in love with this kid. He is at such a fun age & can't wait to see what he will do next!

New Years Resolutions

This post is 15 days late, but better late then never! My 2010 New Years Resolutions

*Work out at least 5 days a week for at least 1/2 Hour each workout.

*Eat Less Calories

*Lose 15 lbs

*Read Scriptures every day

*Say Morning & Night Prayers everyday

*Take more pictures

*Spend more quality time with my family (my family & extended family)

*Try to have a better attidute toward people & the things they do

*Attend the Temple more

*Keep my house "show ready" everyday

= So far I have done good on these resolutions. I could have a better attitude, but I am still a work in progress! I feel it getting better everyday! - PS - I have already lost 4 lbs!

Clogged Tear Duct Update

Last Friday we took Gavin to the Ophthalmologist to get his right eye checked out for his clogged tear duct. It has been an on & off process with this eye. Most time it is normal, but there a some days a week that it will drain like crazy, will be really goopy or when he wakes up from naps he can't even open it. They first did an initial exam of the eye to see if he can follow things with it, then they dilated it. 45 minutes later, they checked his eye again & the Drs. conclusion is that is it partially clogged & that he wants to wait 6 more months to give it time to open up itself. If by the time he is 16 months & it hasn't cleared up, we need to go back & they will tube it & get it cleaned out! Lets just hope it clears itself up.

I don't have very much time & I will have to update later, but I just wanted to post a SPECIAL HAPPY BIRTHDAY post to my loving Hubby! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKEY!! I love you, Gavin loves you & we are so happy & lucky to have you! We hope you have had a great day with us!

2009 Year in Review

Here comes the Annual Year in Review Blog: 2009 Edition. Lets just jump right into it!

January - Mike turns 28 in CA. Mike is still in CA going to A School, he is almost done. Bear turns 3. Mike has a set back & won't be graduating in January, it gets pushed to February. 8 Months Pregnant.

February - 1st & 2nd Baby Showers from Sister & Mother in law & Work. Mike Graduated from A School. 9 Months Pregnant & ready to pop. Still trying to decide Gavin's middle name. Working on the Nursery. Mike starts Monthly Drill Weekends. Finally Mike is home & we are together.

March - Gavin Michael Wallenberg is Born. We are finally a family of 3. Maternity Leave. Sleep deprived. Learning to be parents. Mom is here helping. Ben gets Married. We have been in Eagle Mountain for 3 years. Celebrated our 4 year Anniversary.

April - I go back to Work. Mike starts working Graves. Still sleep deprived. Gavin gets his 1st cold. Life revolves around our baby boy & his needs. 1st Family photo shoot.

May - Gavin is Blessed, on the same day we Miscarried the year before. Mike is still working Graves to keep one of us here with Gavin. Gavin is growing.

June - Gavin 1st Vacation to Jackson Hole. Getting more sleep & adjusting every day to life with a 3 month old. Mike is still working Graves.

July - Graves is finally OVER! My Schedule changes at work. Gavin starts going to a babysitter for a couple hours a day. Wendy gets married. Gavin is still growing & changing. I joined Mary Kay.

August - We have been with the Navy for 1 year now. I have worked at my job for 3 years. Gavin is learning things everyday. Gavin rolls over. Changed Babysitters.

September - We have a 6 month old. Gavin learns how to sit. Gavin is still growing. Gavin starts solids. We finally finished Gavin's room. Gavin has his 1st individual photo shoot. Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome.

October - I turn 27. We basically spent the last 3 weeks of the month sick, all 3 of us at different times & different things. Mike gets Swine Flu & Salmonella. Gavin's 1st Halloween. Gavin gets his 1st 2 teeth.

November - Put our house on the Market. Gavin's 1st Thanksgiving. Family photo shoot. Spending time with the Family for the Holiday.

December - Gavin's 1st Santa Visit. Gavin's 1st Christmas. Spending time with the Family for the Holiday. Dealing with a 9 month old. Gavin gets 2 more teeth. I'm still nursing.

We are looking forward to 2010. Gavin will turn 1. We are hoping to move, we don't know where yet and many more milestones we will be celebrating this year.

Ugly Christmas Sweater

Last year, my Boss was going to have a Ugly Christmas Sweater party but she didn't give us enough time to find an Ugly Sweater, so she decided to move it to this year. I looked, & looked, & looked for one everywhere, but couldn't find one "ugly" enough. I found one on Ebay but it was $125 & I DIDN'T want to spend that much at all. So, I decided to make one! Here is the finished product. Everyone at work says I should sell it on Ebay & see how much I can get for it. What do you think?

PS - This is my 200th Post! Congrats to us! YAY!!!

Christmas

On Christmas day, Gavin woke up at 7ish to eat, his normal early morning feeding. After he went back to bed, I couldn't sleep, so I stayed up & started getting things ready for Breakfast & Dinner. At about 9 Mike & Gavin got up so we started opening Christmas Presents. Gavin wasn't as into it as he was Christmas Eve night, but we got through it. About half way through opening them, he was just so cranky, so we took a break to feed him. After that, he was pretty into playing with all his new stuff. Can't wait until next year!
