Annnnndddd...Some more GAVIN talk!

Here are a couple things I keep forgetting to mention about when Gavin talks:

Mike and I used to spell Walk because if we said it Gavin would freak out and we would have to go for one.  Well one day a couple months ago, he caught on.  He now spells Walk...He says "Go for a W-LK."  Sometimes he says it with the A but most the time he is so excited and in a hurry he will forget it.  He says it a lot too when we are on the walk.

He always tells Mike & I to "rewax." (Relax)

Besides calling me Little One, he also will call me "Lisha" and "Sweetheart."  It is pretty funny.

Whenever someone makes him mad or does something he doesn't like he responds with "Daddy scared it."

He started telling me, "Mom, I have a bloody nose."  No idea where he got that one from.

At the zoo yesterday he said "Mom, the Elephants are Dinosaurs."

I am sure there will be PLENTY more "When Gavin Talks" to come!

Cont...When Gavin Speaks

Here is some more funny Gavin Talk.

Mike's nickname for me is Little One, so now when Gavin wants to ask me something he says Little One, then asked me the question.  Silly kid.

On Saturday before our nightly family walk, Gavin walked up to me and put his hand on my boob and said "Mom, you okay, did you hurt your boob?"  Mike and I were like WHAT?  It was funny.

When he goes to bed at night he asks me "Mom gonna dance, dance to music?" (I workout in the living room and do Zumba or Just Dance.)  What a funny kid!

He had to get a picture with the Chick-Fil-A Cow!

Potty Time

Blah!  I hate potty time, which is probably why Gavin hates potty time.  I have tried, and tried and tried, but he is just not about it.  Last Saturday I put him in underwares, made a potty box with lots of toys and candy he can have if he goes potty in the big boy potty.  I got him a potty watch that sings every half hour to remind him to go sit on the potty.  NOTHING.  He even peed in the underwares and NOTHING.  It didn't bother him AT ALL!  I am taking the 11th of June off work and that is all I am doing all day.  Giving Gavin lots to drink and going potty every half hour!  Hopefully he gets it.  Wish me luck!

1 Year Update

Here is Greyson's 1 year update!

Weight 18.7 lbs 4th%tile
Length 28.5 inches 14th%tile
Head 18.4 inches 63rd%tile

So he is little with a big head!  haha!

Greyson is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on anything and everything he can.  He cruises around the coffee table, couch, bed anything that he can walk around while still holding on to something.

He likes to walk when you hold both his hands, but if you even think about letting 1 hand go, he will immediately fall to the floor on his bum.

He is still a pretty good sleeper and eater and loves to feed himself.  He drinks really well from the sippy cup and have already graduated him to a hard spout.

He is still in size 12 month clothes, size 3 diapers and no shoes yet because he isn't really walking.

He has 10 teeth.  6 up front and 4 molars.

He is a talker.  He says, mama, dada, peese, done, Uh-oh, go, no, op (stop), kay, Tricia (babysitter), Camo.

He loves to torture Gavin but really he just wants to play with him.

He is another car boy and loves to play with and push along cars.

He loves stuffed animals and loves to cuddle with him.  He is also a blanket boy, and loves to cuddle up with any and all blankets he can get his hands on.

He is now in a forward facing car seat!  He loves it!

He is not a big TV boy, but would rather play with any car he can get his hands on.

He likes to jam out to music.

We love this little man and are so glad he is ours to love and watch grow.  I will now be doing updates every 3 months for Greyson!

Gross

A couple weeks ago after a shower for Gavin we found he had something going on with his nail on his big toe.  Mike said it was an ingrown toenail but I said it was a blood blister.  Well now it is better, so that is all that matters.  I have been working out lately (if you couldn't tell from the myfitnesspal weight loss track on the blog) and have had a bum ankle for a week or so now.  I was trying to take a picture of my ankle (because it is big and swollen and nasty) so Gavin wanted a picture of his yucky toenail!  YUM!

When Gavin Speaks...

It is pretty funny.  Here are some funny things Gavin says or has said:

LET. ME. GO. (He says this the most coming out of Walmart)
Ock it off (knock it off)
Stupid Dog

His favorite song is "Rumour Has It" by Adele.  He knows when it comes on the radio and will sing with it...Rumour has it.

A couple weeks ago Gavin was asking where his Seahorse was and Mike said to him: "I am going to put the Seahorse up your butt so you will know where it always is."  To which Gavin responded: "No Daddy, that hurt my butt!"

At Church Gavin asked Mike: "Daddy, will you open my eyes?"  Mike said: "I can't open them because they are already open."  Silly kid

He now calls himself Gavin instead of Gamin.

He is always quite the talker.  If you give him your ear for 1/2 a second he will not stop talking.  He is a chatter box!

The 2nd

After Camo passed away, Mike was all about getting another dog.  So we found a lady on KSL, literally drove to the GHETTO of Ogden/Layton area and picked up a dog that looks almost exact to Camo numero uno, he is just a little bit bigger.

So, we have a new dog.  Camo the 2nd.  We will see how things go...

Croup

The day after Greyson's birthday, he started to get a runny nose and fever.  Sunday night, he woke up at 10pm with this NASTY barking cough.  After taking him outside a couple times and putting him in the bathroom with the shower going, I decided that nothing was helping because he was still gasping for air, so we needed to go to the ER.:(

They gave him an oral steroid and cold air breathing treatment and sent us on our way.  He was still crabby on Monday but after a GREAT nights sleep Monday night woke up Tuesday and he was his normal regular self!  So glad that is over!

Greyson's Birthday Party

After the fun morning we had, Greyson got a nap and when he woke up the house was decorated and we were ready to start his Birthday Party.  We had a small crowd but it was perfect.  He was starting to not feel very good.  We ate dinner, had him blow out the candle on his "1" Cupcake cake and opened birthday presents.  After that we had him eat his 1st cupcake.  He loved the chocolate part, but not the frosting, crazy kid.  After that, he was DONE.  I gave him a bath, we sent everyone on their way and put him to bed!  Enjoy the fun pictures!  (Sorry they are not in order.  I am STILL trying to figure out this new blogger.)

Greyson's Birthday

Greyson's Birthday was last Saturday.  We had such a fun day.  We got up and played and cleaned and baked cupcakes before his morning nap. 

After he woke up from his nap it was time to hit the road to The Living Planet Aquariam.  We all had such a fun time.  We saw lots of different things.  Alligators, Sea Turtles, Sting Rays, Jelly Fish.  Mike even got to touch a Sting Ray.  After we saw everything we got our picture taken with a Green Screen and let the boys pick out 1 stuffed animal.  They picked the Turtles.

After The Living Planet Aquariam, we ate lunch and went to Walmart to finish up the shopping for the birthday party.  It was a great morning with just us 4!  Next up, the Birthday Party.
