Breaking and Entering

On January 25th we had a little incident. Let me set it up for you:

For about a month now Gavin has been able to reach the door knobs on doors, he can't turn them, but he can reach them. Then a couple weeks later we discovered that we was able to turn the lock on the handle of the Front and Garage Doors to lock them. I came home from work one day and the door from the Garage was locked, Gavin was inside, with the babysitter, but was HYSTERICAL beyond all reason because I wasn't coming in. I was trying to unlock the door with the key and he was trying to unlock it for me & the babysitter had to finally unlock the door for us so I could get in to comfort him.

Fastforward a week. Mike went outside from the Garage to get the mail and take out some garbage, he comes back to the door only to find it locked. Gavin had locked it as soon as Mike left the house. The Front door was also locked. Mike didn't have a key and Gavin was growing more and more unconsolable. Mike had to kick down the door to get inside! It was tramatic for all of us, but it was the only he could do to get inside. Needless to say, we now have a hide a key outside & will be giving our neighbors a key just in case. We don't need anything like that happening again!

Does Gavin just hear you out there and start freaking out??? Poor Little guy learns something fun and new and it turns out to be not fun for him. Love you sissy.
