He rolled from his tummy to his back. I am still trying to get him to do it again for me & for the camera. He is still thisclose to rolling from his back to tummy. Any day now!

More Funny Gavin

Last Thursday, I put Gavin down for his nap in his crib & he fell asleep like this...

Isn't he so super cute? He has been falling asleep like this since then, so I just have to make sure that I fix him a couple minutes after he is asleep. He is almost rolling...both ways. He gets so close, but can't quite make it over. I bet by this weekend he will be a rolling machine, both back to tummy, & tummy to back.

Wendy gets MARRIED!

Last Saturday, the 25th of July...my little, little sissy got married! I still can't believe she is married, she is still my little sissy! We had a great weekend, but lets be honest, I think we are all glad it is over & they are married. The only thing that really went wrong was that my camera battery died so I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked to...but her photographer was AMAZING, so hopefully when they get there pictures, they will share all of the pictures he took of our little family! "Shorty Duwap" Update

Since Gavin's 4 month check up, he hasn't been acting like himself. We took him to the Doctor yesterday & our little monkey has officially doubled his birth weight. He weight in at 14 lbs 1/2 oz which puts him in the 23rd%tile. I can't believe it...he definitely is getting enough to eat! Turns out he has a cold/congestion/virus...all on top of his clogged tear duct in his right eye. I just hope he gets over it soon, we have a busy weekend & will be out of the house!

He has lately started to hold on to things. If you put something in front of him, he could see it & would touch it, but wouldn't grab it, or would hold on to it for 5 seconds then drop it. That has changed. His favorite thing is for me to put my hair in front of his face & tickle him with it, then he grabs & pulls! I love it! He will laugh & laugh so hard...he thinks it is the funniest thing.

Yesterday we had him in is jumperoo & he let rip the loudest "fluff" Mike said he had ever heard. We have put a pillow underneath the jumperoo for him to jump easier, so when Mike looked at the pillow, there was seedy, mustardy poop all over the pillow! Mike thought for sure he would have to change his blowout diaper, but when he picked him up there was no poop on his clothes or in the jumperoo seat. He all went out his diaper, by his leg, on the pillow. Thank goodness there was a pillow there or Mike might not have seen the poop! What a crazy kid!

New Toy

We have been trying for weeks now to decide what to buy next for Gavin...a ExcerSaucer, Walker or Jumperoo? We, well I really wanted to get the Baby Einsteins Jumperoo, but after doing lots of research (which I tend to go crazy with, ask Mike) we decided on the Fisher-Price Precious Planet Jumperoo. We bought it & put it together yesterday & Gavin tried it out today for the first time. He is still just a little small for it, but he really enjoyed it & is starting to get the hang of it. What a cutie we have!

Height - 24 1/2 inches - 35th%tile
Head - 16.24 inches - 24th%tile

He had his 4 month old shots & he did good Friday, but had a rough day Saturday...but we made it though. I also think this new work schedule for us is taking it toll on Gavin. He has been waking up in the middle of the night every night since we started it. Hopefully we will all adjust soon. He loves to stand & take a couple "steps" while standing. He is still in 0-3 month clothes, but will hopefully be moving up soon. He is getting better every day at napping in his crib, but still likes to nap in his swing. He tries to roll over, but just can't quite get his leg over himself. Other than that, he is growing great & is healthy. Love you baby boy!

4th of July

Our 4th of July was low key this year. We just spent the day today as family...celebrating Gavin's first 4th & America's 233rd birthday! We bought Gavin a cute onesie from Old Navy for him to be festive & set out to start our day about noon after Mike woke up from his "night" sleep. Friday the 3rd was his last Grave yard shift at Home Depot. So we had a lot to celebrate. We spent the day checking out the new Smith's Market Place in Lehi, getting some Home repair stuff from Home Depot & driving around town listening to Music & enjoying conversation with each other. After we got home, we fixed our Garbage Disposal & watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua. About 8pm we started doing some Fireworks for Gavin to enjoy then Got him ready for bed. About 9pm we started our BBQ & ate a really yummy dindin of BBQ hamburgers, chili cheese Fries & soda. We finished off our busy day with Fireworks. It was a great day & I am so glad I got to spend it with Mike & Gavin. Even though we had a great day together, we were most excited to hit the sack that night. Enjoy our festive pictures.

New Schedule

Today marks a day of change for us. We are all on a new schedule. I am kind of nervous about it but it is 1 o'clock & so far it has been okay with the exception of Gavin already eating all his milk we got out for him for today. I have a new work schedule which goes something like this...Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm. I am super excited for it because I am already up at 4am every morning feeding Gavin, so I can now get ready after I get him back to bed & off to work for me. Mike has a new schedule at work also. He works the day shift now! YAY! So if he is scheduled any day Monday-Friday, he will work 2pm-11pm. If he is scheduled Saturday &/or Sunday, he can work whatever shift they need him to. No more night freight or working all night & not sleeping all day! This will also hopefully give Mike a better chance of finding a new, better job! YAY! We couldn't be more happier for this new schedule change in our lives. So with the overlapping schedule, Gavin will now be going to a babysitter for about 3 hours when our schedules do overlap! Thanks to our very friendly, kind neighbors & their girls for being so willing & happy to watch the little mister for us! We appreciate you so much.

Binky Drama

Okay, so anyone who knows me knows that I am not a Binky fan. I have a friend who's "baby" is 18 months old that still uses that binky like it is going outta style. Before we had Gavin, several people told me to try it & then we could ween him off it when we felt it was time, but to give it a try before I discounted it. Gavin has really never been a binky fan, he would only take it when he was absolutely exhausted & fighting sleep. The past 3 weeks or so he wouldn't even take the binky at all & he was on this new kick of ALWAYS having his fingers in his mouth if he wasn't sleeping or eating. I talked to my mom & she had suggested to try another binky because we have only used 1 brand with him. We went on a binky shopping spree today & found SEVERAL binkies that he will take. I am hoping that the next several months will be better now that there are binkies that he will actually take. It will make nap time as of late so much better! Sorry about the poor quality of the picture...All I had was our cell phones. Let me know what you think about binkies & what your favorite brand is or has been?
