Walking Monkey

Here Gavin is walking. He is officially a walker. He has been walking everywhere. Now I will REALLY get the exercise I need chasing him around! Enjoy.

Learning

My new favorite pjs to put him in!

Our little Gavin is so funny. This morning he was walking between Bear, Mike & I & giving us all hugs & kisses everytime he got to us! Cute. He also said his name this morning. It sounded like he said his name at least to us.

Last night he would crawl to the screen door & knock on it & look back at me & Bear to see what we would do. He is too funny!

He is still trying to get the hang of the balance & walking thing but he gets better at it everyday. He will just stand up in the middle of the room & start walking to whatever.

Him & Bear do get along so good most the time, but Gavin is still learning how to be gentle with the dog. And most of the time Bear puts up with it. If he doesn't like it or is being hurt, he will just yelp for our attention.

I don't know if I already mentioned this, but Gavin can now climb onto almost anything. The couch, a low chair, his push cart. You really have to keep an eye on him now & what he is climbing onto!

I can't believe how much he picks up on everyday. I love watching as much as I can with him!

16 Months

Another month has come & gone. Here are some Gavin updates from the last month.

*He is still walking more & more every day & loving it. It is really getting the hang of it! He will get it down & be walking everywhere soon I think!

*He now has 6 teeth. 4 up top & still 2 below.

*I don't think I have ever mentioned his eyes. He is the prettiest Hazel/Brown eyes ever! Love them.

*It sorta looks like his clogged tear duct eye is cleared up. As soon as I called & made an appointment with the Dr. & then bought an herbal tea for eye problems, it clears up on me!

*He likes to scream to get your attention, cuddle with your leg when you are sitting on the couch & stroke your hair! He is a sweet little guy!

*He is not the best kid in church! He won't sit still, he won't be quiet & he won't let me pay attention. We are working on it.

*He likes to get into everything. We have baby proofed every single drawer in our house. He always wants to see what you are doing & try to help out. I was changing out some clothes today for him & he was putting all the ones I was pulling out to put away in the Box to store. What a little helper!

*He refuses to eat those Gerber meals anymore. I don't know if they are too bland for him or what. I have to make him dinner every night. He likes really anything with chicken. Grilled Chicken & Potatoes, Poppy seed Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, Casserole Chicken, Chicken Roll ups. He will eat that right up now! He likes Pudding, French Toast, Grilled Cheese, Yogurt, Bananas, Hot Dogs and much more!

*He is 20 lbs 11 ozs! (per my last post!)

*He is not really saying anything new, he likes to try to repeat things that you say, but nothing repeatedly! His favorites are No, Thank you, Uh oh, & Doggie. He has been saying What & Bear Bear frequently.

Pretty soon we will have an 18th month old! I kinda can't believe it!

20 Pounds

We offically (finally) have a 20 pounder! 20 lbs 11 oz today at his weight check! Sounds good to me, now we can be legal driving him forward facing...hehehe.

A Look Back

I was going through the pictures on the Computer & found this one of Gavin's 1st time sitting in a shopping cart! I can't believe I forgot to blog about it. It was probably back in November or December of last year! Enjoy his cuteness!

Ode to Mikey

Here is a post dedicated to my loving hubby! I defiantly don't give him enough credit where credit is due & I am trying to work on that. I have had a rough couple days & he is always my light & guiding strength! I can always count on him to center me & make it all go away & feel better! I always over exaggerate things & he is always the one to tell me it will all work out okay & it isn't the end of the world, so come back to earth. I would be one crazy person running around with my head cut off if it wasn't for him! Thanks for sticking by my side, loving me & Gavin unconditionally & doing everything in your power to give us what we need! We defiantly couldn't do it without you! Love you much...

Finally

I think it is about time to finally officially say that Gavin is a little walking machine! He has been walking all over the place tonight, without any help or prodding. It will just randomally stand up in the middle of the room & start walking to where ever it is that he has set his sights on! He is still a little shaky & hit his head again on the couch, but hopefully he will move forward with this new sense of freedom & accomplishment! Only time will tell & I will keep you updated!

Independance Day

Funny Guy

This morning Gavin had woke up before I left for work. Mike & I were debating whether or not to go get him or see if he would fall asleep again. I went out to the living room to let Bear back in & Gavin yelled from his room, "Mom, Come." Silly kid!

For the last week or so, Gavin has been randomly standing up in the middle of the room. I can't help but think this is 1 more step closer to him walking. Maybe by August we will FINALLY have a walker! We will just have to see.

I have taken some really cute pictures lately that I will have to post when I get home. We didn't have internet last night to post the pictures, so hopefully when I get home tonight it will be back up! Until then...
